The Daughter Arrives, And The Proud Father Willingly Bows His Head In Submission Chapter 25

Chapter 25: Yu Yu Got Dirty; Yu Yu Touched Poop

Yu Yu dipped her hand into the water to check the temperature; it was just right.

She was placed into the bathtub, and Qing’an patiently and gently bathed her.

Yu Yu kept looking at Qing’an’s face.

“What is the little Princess looking at?” Qing’an asked softly.

“Looking at Brother; Brother is so handsome.” Yu Yu smiled as she gazed at Qing’an.

“This subordinate is already thirty years old; my looks have long faded.” Qing’an paused for a moment before laughing.

His face had long developed fine lines from the passage of time, and his once handsome appearance was long gone.

“Still handsome,” Yu Yu insisted, affirming that Brother was truly good-looking.

“Thank you for the compliment, little Princess.”

After bathing Yu Yu, Qing’an dressed her in pajamas embroidered with butterflies.

He then took a comb and gently styled Yu Yu’s hair.

“All done.”

“Thank you, Brother Qing’an.”

“Brother Qing’an, hug please.” Yu Yu opened her little arms, wanting a hug.

Qing’an was momentarily taken aback but then picked up Yu Yu.

“Father.” Yu Yu called out for her Father.

Feng Xiaohan reached out to take his daughter.

“Qing’an, you’re dismissed.” Qing’an left.

Yu Yu waved her little hand at Qing’an.

Feng Xiaohan watched his daughter and realized she particularly liked gentle types of men.

She was noticeably more enthusiastic towards Qing’an than towards others.

“Stop looking; hurry and go to sleep.” Feng Xiaohan turned his daughter’s face away.

“Mmhm.” Yu Yu trotted off to her bed and covered herself with the quilt.

Today, Yu Yu wasn’t very sleepy, so she began bouncing on the bed while Feng Xiaohan went to take a bath.

Hearing the sound of her Father’s wheelchair, Yu Yu quickly hid under the covers.

Hehehe, she was going to scare her Father.

She waited patiently for her Father to get closer.

Feng Xiaohan looked at his daughter, who was wrapped up in the blanket, thinking she was pretending to be a turtle.

“Ah!” Yu Yu suddenly popped out from under the covers to scare her Father.

Feng Xiaohan: He was completely unfazed and found himself amused by his daughter’s messy hair.

“Father, weren’t you scared?” Yu Yu looked at her Father, who remained calm.

“Not scared.” Feng Xiaohan shook his head.

Yu Yu: Okay then.

“Not sleepy?” Feng Xiaohan looked at his energetic daughter.

“Not sleepy at all.” Yu Yu shook her head, indicating she wasn’t tired in the slightest.

“Oh, then go get that book on Plum Blossom Divination over there.” Feng Xiaohan instructed his daughter to fetch the book.

“Okay.” Yu Yu jumped off the bed and trotted over to the shelf to get the book for her Father.

“Father, here.”

Feng Xiaohan opened the book and looked at his daughter.

“Father will do a divination for you.” Ever since he had lost his sight, it had been a long time since he had used this thing to fool people.

“What is divination?”

“You’ll find out soon.” Feng Xiaohan smiled slightly.

Yu Yu looked at her Father with eager anticipation.

Feng Xiaohan took out three copper coins and tossed them.

The coins landed on the bed.

Yu Yu blinked her big eyes at the three coins.

Feng Xiaohan took a look.

“Looking at your fortune, you are a person blessed with great fortune. Although you will face some hardships, overall, your fate is extremely prosperous.”

Yu Yu: Wow.

Then, Feng Xiaohan started saying some things Yu Yu couldn’t understand, leaving her stunned.

Although she didn’t understand what her Father was saying, it felt really impressive.

“Did you sneak some candy?” Feng Xiaohan looked at his daughter.

Yu Yu covered her mouth, feeling guilty. How did Father know?

“Did you also tease those fish?”

Yu Yu: !!!!!

“And did you touch the vase?”

Yu Yu stared wide-eyed at her Father. Was he a god?

“Did you help someone wipe or move some things today?”

“Father, you’re amazing!” Yu Yu looked up at her Father with adoration in her eyes.

“Of course.” Feng Xiaohan shamelessly accepted his daughter’s admiration and praise.

In fact, it was easy to figure out; there was some water spilled next to the fish tank, and the vase had been moved.

When Yu Yu first arrived, she had a faint smell of dust on her.

“Father, Yu Yu remembered.” Yu Yu took out a small ball from her bag.

“Is this the delicious food that Father hid in the jar?”

Feng Xiaohan furrowed his brows and took the small round object wrapped in a handkerchief to look at it.

“You took this from the jar?”

“Yes! Is it delicious?”

“No, it’s poop—mouse poop.” Feng Xiaohan wrapped the pill back up in the handkerchief.

“Come here and wash your hands.”

Feng Xiaohan led his daughter to wash her hands.

After washing them two or three times, Feng Xiaohan finally felt reassured.

“In the future, you must never eat anything you don’t recognize.” Thankfully, his daughter hadn’t eaten it; otherwise, the consequences could have been dire.

“I know,” Yu Yu nodded her little head.

Then she looked at her little hands.

“Father,” Yu Yu looked at him with a pitiful expression.

“Yes?”

“Yu Yu is dirty; Yu Yu touched poop, and Yu Yu’s hands are not clean anymore.”

“And Yu Yu’s bag is dirty too.”

“It’s okay, it’s okay. Father will have someone bring water for you to wash your hands, and we’ll wash your bag too.” Feng Xiaohan comforted his daughter.

He should have kept quiet about it being poop. He mentioned it to scare her into not eating unknown things but didn’t expect it would leave a psychological scar.

“Qing’an, bring a basin of clean water in.” Feng Xiaohan called out.

“Yes.”

Yu Yu looked conflicted as she stared at her little hands, as if contemplating whether to keep them.

“Father, can Yu Yu change her hands?” She didn’t want the hands that had touched poop.

“Um… no, you can wash them clean.” Feng Xiaohan assured her.

Yu Yu looked at her Father and finally nodded her little head.

After a while, Qing’an brought in a basin of clean water.

Yu Yu crouched down on the ground, diligently washing her little hands, washing and sniffing.

“Qing’an, check what this thing is.” Feng Xiaohan handed the handkerchief with the round object to Qing’an.

Qing’an took a look at the dark pill.

“It was taken from the jar.”

“It’s my failure. Please punish me, Your Highness.” Qing’an immediately knelt down to apologize.

He was responsible for attending to the Prince’s daily needs, yet he didn’t notice someone had placed something in the Prince’s jar.

It was his dereliction of duty.

“Get up; this kind of thing is hard to prevent.” Feng Xiaohan didn’t blame Qing’an.

“Thank you, Your Highness.”

Qing’an took the pill and left to investigate, while Yu Yu continued to squat on the ground, washing her hands.

“Father, quickly check if Yu Yu’s hands still smell.” Yu Yu lifted her little hands for her Father to smell.

Feng Xiaohan took a sniff.

“Not anymore.”

Yu Yu sighed in relief; they were finally clean.

“Time for bed.” Feng Xiaohan patted his daughter’s little head.

“Okay.”

Meanwhile, Wujie was still on the road, traveling overnight.

The attendant Shanyao listened to the muffled coughs coming from the carriage and was very worried.

“Young Master, should we take a break?” He was concerned that the Young Master might not be able to endure it.

“No need.” Wujie gently refused.

He had received news that the Divine Moon Event was about to begin, and everyone would rush to participate.

He needed to hurry to gain the initiative.

This was the last hope his Father had for recovery.

“But…” Shanyao wanted to say something.

“No ‘buts’.” Wujie said decisively.

“Understood, Young Master.” Shanyao reluctantly cracked the whip to urge the horses on.

“Cough, cough, cough.”

After a good night’s sleep, Yu Yu groggily woke up. Where was Father?

“Father?” Yu Yu called out for him.

Hearing the little Princess’s voice, Qing’an immediately pushed the door open and entered.

“Little Princess, the Prince has gone to court.” Qing’an reached out to pick Yu Yu up.

General Huo Rong was in court today, and the Prince had instructed him to take care of the little Princess at home.

Yu Yu rested her little head on Qing’an’s shoulder, yawning.

Qing’an helped Yu Yu wash up and dressed her in a sky-blue little outfit.

Then, he styled her hair into two little buns, adorned with blue hairpins, and put a string of blue gemstones, which had been presented from the Western Regions, around her neck.

“Little Princess, all done.” Qing’an stepped back.

Yu Yu stood in front of the bronze mirror, admiring herself for a moment.
