Chapter 29: System Connection Failed, Please Try Again Later

Yu Yu obediently sat on the rock, waiting for her brother to wake up.

In his unconsciousness, Lin Zhi’s mind flashed repeatedly with the moment he fell, the sound of his bones breaking echoing in his ears.

He hoped Shanyao would find him quickly and bring the Divine Moon Flower back to his father to cure his eyes and legs.

This would also be a small repayment for his father’s life-saving grace and upbringing.

Lin Zhi had lost too much blood; he shouldn’t drink too much water.

The sun slowly moved, and finally, its light generously shone on the bottom of the cliff.

“Why isn’t Brother awake yet?” Yu Yu muttered as she sat on the rock.

Sunlight shone on his blood-stained white clothes, creating a faint halo. His pale, slender hands were covered in scrapes, and dark red blood stained his handsome face. Lin Zhi lay quietly on the rock, like broken glass.

Lin Zhi felt the warmth and trembled slightly as he opened his eyes.

It was the sun.

He tried to move, but excruciating pain shot through him.

“Hiss.” Lin Zhi groaned in pain.

“Brother, you’re awake!” Yu Yu quickly looked at her brother.

Lin Zhi’s amber eyes fixed on Yu Yu.

Hmm?

Why was there a child here?

“Brother, don’t be afraid. I’m not a bad person; I’m a good person,” Yu Yu said, emphasizing that she was a good person, a very good person.

“Did you save me?” Lin Zhi softly asked.

He looked at the medicinal powder sprinkled on his wounds. Had she saved him?

But this was the bottom of a cliff. How did she get here?

Was there a hermit here? Was she the child of a hermit?

“Huahua told Yu Yu to save you,” Yu Yu honestly replied.

“Thank you,” Lin Zhi softly thanked her.

“You’re welcome.”

“Brother, do you want to eat something?” Yu Yu asked.

“Okay,” Lin Zhi replied.

He had to conserve his energy and wait for Shanyao to come and rescue him.

Yu Yu took a piece of pastry, broke it, and fed it to her brother’s lips.

After eating a little food, Lin Zhi felt a little stronger.

Seeing her brother like this, Yu Yu didn’t feel comfortable leaving, so she sat beside him.

“What’s your name?” Lin Zhi looked at Yu Yu. He had to remember the name of his savior so he could repay her kindness later.

“My name is Yu Yu, my full name is Feng Wuyu,” Yu Yu introduced herself.

“Lin Zhi.”

Lin Zhi listened to the name Feng Wuyu—the surname Feng, Wuyu…

She began to babble about how Huahua had taught her to save her brother.

Lin Zhi listened, dumbfounded.  His usually refined face was filled with blankness.

He felt like he suddenly couldn’t understand human speech. Had he hit his head?

After Yu Yu finished, she looked at her brother’s dazed expression.  Why had her brother turned into a dazed bird too?

But he was a handsome, small, dazed bird.

Lin Zhi looked at the screen in front of him, unsure how to react.

After a long while, Lin Zhi’s rationality finally returned.

Indeed, the world is vast and full of wonders.

Lin Zhi looked at the soft and tender Yu Yu.  So, she was his sister.

How amazing.

Yu Yu took out the oranges she had taken that morning from her bag.

After peeling them, she and her brother each ate a segment.

Lin Zhi blankly accepted his sister’s offering.

It was past noon, and the sun could no longer reach them.

The temperature at the bottom of the cliff gradually dropped.

“Gather some firewood to make a fire.”

Yu Yu angrily stood up and stomped on the rocks.

“Hmph! I’ll teach you for tripping me! Ouch, my foot!” She had accidentally stepped too hard.

Lin Zhi chuckled lightly. This little sister was quite interesting.

Yu Yu gathered some small twigs and then laboriously dragged a large branch.

“It’s so heavy!”

After doing all this, Yu Yu lay down on the ground to rest.

Lin Zhi picked up a suitable branch and painstakingly secured his injured leg.

Luckily, in his panic, he had grabbed onto some plants on the cliff edge to cushion his fall. Otherwise, he would have been killed.
