Chapter 60
Since the wedding date was set, they also needed to arrange for the wedding photos.
After Jiang Zhe sought Jiang Yu’s approval, he booked a professional wedding photography team. When they set out that day with the little ones, they spotted Fu Miao’s son, Cheng Cheng, lingering at their door, seemingly waiting for something.
Jiang Yu glanced at her daughter, who was wearing a cute bunny hat, and asked, “Luo Luo, is he looking for you?”
Although Fu Miao said her son had autism, Jiang Yu felt that he had probably come specifically to find her daughter.
Luo Luo rummaged through her pocket and quickly pulled out a lollipop, saying to Cheng Cheng, “Mommy is taking wedding photos today, so I can’t play with you.”
The little boy looked a bit disappointed and lowered his head.
Luo Luo continued, “You can come play at my house tomorrow.”
Cheng Cheng’s eyes immediately brightened again. Though he didn’t respond, it seemed he understood Luo Luo’s words.
Fu Miao soon arrived and, seeing her son had come to Jiang Yu’s house, helplessly said, “He’s been wanting to go out these past few days. I thought he had something else in mind, but it turns out he came to find Luo Luo to play.”
“You dressed your little girl up so beautifully today.”
Seeing that they all looked quite nice, Fu Miao curiously asked, “Where are you two planning to go? Traveling?”
Jiang Yu felt a bit shy and replied, “We got married when we had a child and didn’t have time for a wedding, so we’re planning to make up for it now. We’re going to take wedding photos today.”
Fu Miao immediately understood, “That’s great.”
“Since I’m free today, I can help you out.”
Jiang Yu didn’t expect Fu Miao to join them. She sought Jiang Zhe’s opinion.
Jiang Zhe had a much better impression of Fu Miao than Chi Le and agreed, “Sure.”
Fu Miao drove with her son, of course, with the intention of letting him play with Luo Luo.
After their last visit, some other kids had come over, but her son hadn’t played with them. She initially thought it was just a coincidence, but now her son had taken the initiative to seek out Luo Luo. No matter how you looked at it, this was a positive sign for him.
Soon, they arrived at the prearranged wedding photography studio. Although the package was already set, Fu Miao took a look and felt a bit dissatisfied. She said, “I don’t think the scenery here is very good. If you’re willing, I can take you to my friend’s private garden. I think it would be a better place to shoot.”
Being the daughter of a wealthy family, Jiang Yu trusted Fu Miao’s judgment and agreed.
Once their makeup was done, they headed to the address Fu Miao provided with the photographer.
When they arrived, before Jiang Yu even got out of the car, she saw the plum blossoms blooming next to the white walls and dark tiles. Indeed, the scenery here was much better than what they had originally chosen.
They had already made arrangements in advance, so they entered smoothly. The steward even led them inside, explaining, “We’ve prepared lunch for you. You can eat here after your shoot.”
Jiang Yu felt a bit embarrassed, saying, “We’re already imposing by using your garden for our wedding photos. How can we bother you with lunch as well? That’s too much!”
Fu Miao laughed, “What’s wrong with that? What if the owner is willing?”
Jiang Yu was a bit puzzled, but Jiang Zhe gently stroked her head and said, “It’s okay. Later, I’ll have someone send a gift to thank the owner.”
Jiang Yu nodded. “Alright.”
With the makeup done, Jiang Yu changed into the dress she wanted and began taking wedding photos with Jiang Zhe. The pavilions and terraces here were exquisitely designed, and the scenery was well arranged, making it easy to capture beautiful shots. Jiang Yu took a set of photos in a phoenix crown and traditional wedding gown, followed by a set in a pink wedding dress.
They planned to continue shooting in the spring when the flowers bloomed.
She was also thinking of going to the seaside for some photos.
Jiang Yu and Jiang Zhe took a few pictures with the little ones, and Fu Miao’s son followed them around like a little tail.
Then, the two children also took a group photo together.
Seeing her son in the photos, Fu Miao walked over with a smile and linked her arm with Jiang Yu, saying, “Since that’s the case, I’ll take a couple of pictures to keep as a memento.”
Jiang Yu suddenly felt like they were not there to take wedding photos but rather to have a vacation.
After the shoot, it was lunchtime, and they were invited to stay for a meal. When they entered the front hall, Jiang Yu discovered that Fu Miao’s husband was also there, along with the owner of the estate. Jiang Yu felt a bit embarrassed but still greeted them warmly and thanked the owner for their hospitality.
The owner was a middle-aged man with an elegant demeanor. He waved his hand dismissively and said there was no need for that, then turned to Jiang Zhe and initiated a conversation: “Mr. Jiang, hello. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Jiang Yu was taken aback and looked at Fu Miao, who winked at her.
After lunch, while driving back, the three of them were in the car together. Jiang Yu caught part of their conversation and asked Jiang Zhe, “Are they looking to collaborate with you?”
Jiang Zhe nodded, “Yes.”
Jiang Yu inquired, “Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”
Jiang Zhe replied, “I still need to discuss it with Wei Cheng and the others.”
He smiled at Jiang Yu and said, “Don’t worry. Since they approached me, it means I have something they need. I’ll evaluate it before deciding whether to collaborate or not.”
Jiang Yu voiced her concerns: “I’m actually a bit worried. I’m concerned that my relationship with Fu Miao might put pressure on you. After all, you’ve never really liked socializing, especially in such settings.”
Just then, they reached a red light. Jiang Zhe glanced at the little one in the child seat who had fallen asleep from playing too much and gently held Jiang Yu’s face, rubbing his nose against hers. “Jiang Yu, is it possible that as Jiang Luoluo grows up, I grow alongside her? I told you, no matter what happens, I’m here for you. So, you don’t need to worry about small matters like this. I’m a capable man, and I can handle this.”
They were close together, and Jiang Yu felt like her face was almost touching his long eyelashes. She couldn’t help but marvel at how a man could have such long lashes.
Just as Jiang Zhe leaned in to kiss her, he noticed the red light had changed. Regretfully, he pulled back and focused on driving.
After spending most of the day outdoors in the cold, Jiang Zhe, who usually had a robust constitution, caught a cold this time.
Worried he might infect the child, and knowing she couldn’t take care of both him and the little one, Jiang Yu sent the child to her parents’ house.
That evening, Jiang Yu was left at home with Jiang Zhe, who had a low grade fever.
Unable to sleep, Jiang Zhe sat in the living room watching TV with a cold compress on his forehead.
Seeing him looking so weak for the first time, Jiang Yu, who couldn’t cook, ordered takeout. Watching him in this state made her feel a bit amused, but she held back her laughter and asked, “How are you? Do you feel alright? Do you want to drink some porridge?”
She felt a bit embarrassed and said, “I don’t know how to make porridge, so I ordered takeout. I was worried that if I gave you the porridge I cooked, it might make your condition worse, so…”
Jiang Zhe was about to say he wasn’t feeling that bad, but seeing how much concern his wife showed for him, he deliberately lay down weakly and said, “I might not feel so good. My hands are a bit weak. Can you feed me the porridge?”
Jiang Yu, who had been feeling guilty for not being able to cook something for Jiang Zhe while he was sick, found it amusing that this man was pretending to be weak. She chuckled and asked in surprise, “Jiang Zhe, are you trying to act cute with me?”
Jiang Zhe replied, “If you think so, then that’s what it is. My beautiful and kind wife, can you feed me the porridge? Your husband is sick today and probably can’t hold a spoon.”
Jiang Yu was so amused that she almost dropped the spoon. She said, “Sure, but you can’t make me laugh.”
Jiang Zhe asked in confusion, “Is it that funny?”
Jiang Yu shook her head. “No, just a little cute.”
Jiang Zhe felt that the word “cute” didn’t quite suit him, so he sat up straight, waiting for Jiang Yu to feed him.
Jiang Yu picked up the spoon, blew on the porridge, and said, “Ah.”
Jiang Zhe took a bite, then snatched the spoon from her, saying, “I’ll do it myself.”
Jiang Yu was puzzled. “Didn’t you ask me to feed you?”
Jiang Zhe replied, “Don’t you think you look like you’re trying to coax Jiang Luoluo to eat porridge?”
Jiang Yu tilted her head and asked, “What’s the difference?”
Then she laughed, holding her stomach and bursting into laughter.
Watching her laugh uncontrollably, Jiang Zhe gritted his teeth and said, “If I weren’t worried about passing my cold to you, I would really want to kiss you right now.” This man was becoming bolder with his words.
However, Jiang Yu actually liked it. She made a face and provocatively said, “Then hurry up and get better.”
Jiang Zhe was only sick for one day. The next day, he was back to being lively. Jiang Yu, who had been so proud the day before, couldn’t help but smile. That night, Jiang Zhe did more than just kiss her to tears.
