Chapter 60: Emergency Situation

Zhang Wanyu looked at Tang Hongmei impatiently and asked, “What did I lie about? And… I’m very busy. Don’t come looking for me if you have nothing to do.”

Seeing Zhang Wanyu’s perfunctory and impatient attitude, Tang Hongmei’s anger flared up.

“You, Zhang Wanyu! I thought you were so kind-hearted, but you actually used me to deal with Tang Xiaorou! I almost got tricked by you when I first arrived. Luckily, when I came back, I casually asked about you and found out that you also like Commander Shen. You used me as a pawn!”

Tang Hongmei trembled with anger, pointing at Zhang Wanyu and saying, “I’m blind to have trusted someone like you.” But in the end, she laughed. “It’s a pity that all the information you got was false.

Zhang Wanyu was completely disbelieving. “I checked on Tang Xiaorou. She dropped out of school before graduating from junior high and never formally studied medicine. How could she possibly get a license?”

Zhang Wanyu had been pampered since she was a child and had never suffered any grievances after starting work.  Now, she was being angered by a woman from the countryside.

Without thinking, Zhang Wanyu slapped Tang Hongmei.

“You… you actually dared to hit me!”

Tang Hongmei didn’t expect anyone in the army to dare to hit someone, and she wasn’t a pushover either. She immediately lunged forward and slapped Zhang Wanyu back.

The two immediately started fighting, and the commotion quickly attracted onlookers.

However, Zhang Wanyu and Tang Hongmei didn’t listen to her and continued to fight.

Their commotion attracted other people from the art troupe.  When they saw Zhang Wanyu fighting with an unfamiliar woman, everyone was stunned.  Zheng Fang shouted, “What are you all standing there for? Quickly separate them!”

“Oh… right, right.”

As they were about to step forward to stop the fight, a military wife suddenly shrieked, “Ah… blood, so much blood!”

Hearing this, everyone looked over.  Tang Hongmei was surrounded by blood.

“Ah…”

Several people screamed. Zheng Fang reacted quickly and rushed forward to grab Zhang Wanyu, but she couldn’t hold her alone. Fortunately, others also reacted and helped pull Zhang Wanyu away.

Only then did Zhang Wanyu see the shocking blood. She was completely scared and quickly distanced herself. “I didn’t use much force just now. This has nothing to do with me.”

Tang Hongmei only then felt severe abdominal pain.
