Liangzi glanced at Zhuangzi with narrowed eyes, urging him to speak.
However, Zhuangzi lowered his head slightly and whispered, “Stop talking.”
He had been woken up from a sack last night. Unlike Liangzi, he still had knife marks on his fingers. The cold and eerie expression on Gu Yundong’s face last night had left a deep impression on him.
Seeing him uncooperative, Liangzi became furious and shouted at Dachuan and Goushou, “Tell them, did I say anything wrong? This brat is the one who let some wild man knock us out and beat us for a whole day the night before last.”
The two men exchanged a glance, intending to answer, but Zhuangzi kicked them. Although their bodies and hands were tied, their feet were free.
“Ouch.” The two of them cried out and didn’t know what to say for a moment.
They were still a bit confused about what had happened. Why were they knocked out, and why were they tied up here now? What exactly was going on?
Originally, they had always looked up to Liangzi. Whatever Liangzi said was the truth. But now that Zhuangzi didn’t let them speak, what was going on?
Their hesitation, combined with Liu Guihua’s defense beside them, made the villagers believe Gu Yundong.
Seeing everyone pointing and whispering about them, Jin Yuexiang immediately jumped up. “Liangzi didn’t say anything wrong. They went out the night before last and didn’t come back, so they must have been beaten all day. My poor son, just because we two parents pamper him and don’t let him work, his reputation in the village is bad. Now that we’ve finally done a good deed, no one believes us. You rotten brat, you little slut, release my son immediately.”
Gu Yundong somehow had a sole in her hand. She walked up to Liangzi and raised her hand to slap him across the face.
Jin Yuexiang screamed, “What are you doing?”
“If you curse at me again, I’ll slap him.”
“You… How dare you.” Jin Yuexiang was about to rush over, but Gu Yundong turned her head, smiled at her, and raised her foot. “Come over.”
Jin Yuexiang was about to rush over to her, but she stopped her legs abruptly, afraid to go any further.
This girl could kick her husband away. If she went up, she might lose half her life.
“You, you little brat, you…”
“Smack, smack, smack.” Gu Yundong didn’t hesitate to slap her. “Come on, continue.”
Watching her son’s mouth bleed, Jin Yuexiang trembled with anger, forgetting everything else, and rushed at her.
True to her word, Gu Yundong kicked her.
“Come on, try again.” She raised her eyebrows at Hu Qianlai, then glanced at the other relatives who had hurriedly arrived.
Hu Qianlai watched his wife crying out in pain but dared not move. Zhuangzi’s parents arrived earlier, but both were honest people. They felt guilty now and didn’t have the face to confront Gu Yundong. Besides, Gu Yundong was so fierce that they didn’t dare.
Goushou’s father also arrived, glaring angrily but not at Gu Yundong. Instead, he stared at Goushou.
Dachuan’s family didn’t come.
Now that everyone was here, Hu Qianlai wanted to instigate the others to attack with him. The two of them couldn’t beat Gu Yundong, but if everyone attacked together, could they not take down a little girl?
But before he could speak, Zhao Zhu, Goushou’s father, took a step forward and asked Gu Yundong, “What do you need to let them go?”
