Lin Chu’s idea was simple.
Since the system had imposed a limit on the number of tasks she could submit due to her excessive submissions, she could just have someone else submit the tasks through their system.
However, system points couldn’t be traded.
This meant she couldn’t directly exchange the zombies for points.
But she could designate supplies from the system, have the ponytail girl buy them for her, and then hand them over.
“I can help you dissect the zombies. You provide the zombies, submit the tasks to the system, and we’ll split the points 1:1. For my share, I’ll designate items from the system mall of equal value, and you exchange them and give them to me.”
The ponytail girl thought about it for a moment.
This way, it would essentially double the dissection efficiency. On her own, she could exchange 15-20 points in a day, and with an extra pair of hands, she’d be able to earn an additional 15-20 points.
That would mean 30-40 points a day.
With 48 hours left, she already had 93 points. If she could get help from the short-haired girl, she might actually have a chance to gather 150 points and activate the anti-theft door.
But…
“Can the point split be paid to you later?”
The ponytail girl flushed, awkwardly looking at Lin Chu.
She knew well that she couldn’t expect someone to work for free, and she also understood that in such chaotic times, promises to pay later were hard to trust.
But she was worried that over the next two days, she and the girl might only barely gather enough points for the door. If she handed over the system items first, she’d still face the same crisis.
Lin Chu, seeing the expression on her face, roughly guessed what she was thinking.
Indeed, she had underestimated the situation. For someone who wasn’t a medical student, it was really hard to utilize every piece of bone from a zombie. It was naturally difficult to imagine her dissection efficiency.
Lin Chu didn’t correct her thoughts but said, “How about this? If you trust me, let’s meet in four hours, and then you can decide whether or not we’ll make this deal.”
Convincing someone that she could break a zombie down into over 200 parts with just words would be too much talk.
Lin Chu preferred to let facts speak for themselves.
However, all the bones she had dissected had already been handed over to the system, so she would need to dissect more.
The ponytail girl, seeing that the other party seemed unwilling to accept her offer to pay later but didn’t directly refuse to help, began to regret it.
“As long as we gather 150 points first, I’ll give you whatever I have left, and I’ll keep earning points. I can give you all those points too, as long as I survive.”
Lin Chu raised her hand to stop her from speaking further. “Don’t worry. I don’t want to take advantage of anyone. I only want to make fair trades. As for how we proceed, we’ll decide in four hours.”
Seeing the ponytail girl nod, Lin Chu went back into the room, closed the door, and didn’t delay. She walked straight to the dissection room.
Regardless of whether the ponytail girl would accept the deal, she still needed to keep submitting tasks. It was just a matter of doing it sooner or later.
If she could convince the ponytail girl to agree to the trade, she’d gain without losing. So, of course, she was willing to work overtime and dissect another zombie.
The ponytail girl had already received quite a bit of help from Lin Chu. Now, upon further reflection, she thought this girl, who had been different from the start, might truly have a way to let her earn points and still get her share.
With this thought, the hope she had almost lost was reignited.
She picked up the three zombies on the ground, opened her shelter, and began battling the corpses with a cleaver.
Lin Chu took a zombie from her space, stripped it of its clothes, and placed it on the dissection table.
Since time and space were frozen inside the space, anything placed in there remained the same when taken out, so there was no need to worry about the body rotting and stinking.
She had dissected 12 zombies over the past few days, and there were still 18 zombies left in stock.
After submitting her share of the task, there would be about six zombies left.
If the ponytail girl was willing to trade, those six ready zombies could be discussed for a split, perhaps 8:12.
This way, these six zombies would bring her an additional 12 points.
Rather than saying she was helping the ponytail girl, Lin Chu felt that the method she had come up with was best suited for this particular collaborator.
The other taskers Lin Chu had encountered weren’t suitable—they were either hostile or had their own motives against her and the ponytail girl.
None of them were fit for a trade.
So, she could only seize the opportunity with the ponytail girl.
She hoped the other party would agree to this mutually beneficial deal.
Four hours later, Lin Chu, carrying a large sack filled with 198 bones and eight organs (heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, gallbladder, and stomach), saw through the peephole that the ponytail girl was waiting outside. She opened the door and stepped out.
The reason there were only these parts was because the other bones and organs had been consumed during the dissection process.
But it was enough to leave the ponytail girl speechless.
She stared at the mixed zombie bones and organs in the sack, momentarily stunned.
“Is this from one zombie?”
Lin Chu pretended not to notice her shock. “Yes, these parts are from one complete zombie.”
“So many!” The ponytail girl’s mouth nearly hung open.
“There are 206 parts in total. You can submit 20 tasks and earn 20 points. Keep 10 of them, and exchange the remaining 10 points for five nutrient solutions for me.”
As Lin Chu calmly explained, the ponytail girl finally came to her senses.
Now she understood why the other party had been so direct with her requests—it was because Lin Chu’s abilities gave her enough confidence.
In just four hours, Lin Chu had broken down a complete zombie into so many parts. With such efficiency, even splitting the points 1:1, the ponytail girl was confident that she could gather 150 points before the newbie protection period ended and activate the anti-theft door.
With that in mind, the ponytail girl nodded without hesitation.
“No problem.”
Lin Chu handed over the sack completely to the ponytail girl.
Just like that, the ponytail girl, under Lin Chu’s watch, submitted 10 tasks. Then, she received five green nutrient solutions.
After handing over the nutrient solutions to Lin Chu, she continued to exchange the remaining parts for points.
Lin Chu looked at the now nearly empty sack with only six parts left, while she held five nutrient solutions in her hands. A faint smile appeared on her face as she extended her right hand.
“My name is Lin Chu. It’s been a pleasure working with you.”
The ponytail girl quickly extended her right hand to shake.
“Thank you. My name is Zheng Ziyu.”
The ponytail girl, now named Zheng Ziyu, grinned for a moment before suddenly saying, “Wait here,” and then rushed into her shelter.
After a while, she came out, holding two more sacks.
