The Fall of the Alpha
The Fall of the Alpha Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Fighting Picked Up

At the end of October, Jincheng was still so hot, the sun was shining, the cement ground was hot, and the cicadas were noisy.

In the classroom, the students with air conditioning couldn’t help but feel a little drowsy, leaning lazily on the table one by one.

The young man sitting by the window lay on the table, the sunlight shining on his face, the high bridge of his nose casting a shadow on the other side of his face, and his long and thick eyelashes were sprinkled with golden light.

It happened to be the most responsible and strict college English class in the Information Engineering College’s Computer Science major. This teacher hated sleeping in class extremely.

He was in his forties, with a perpetually furrowed brow, and old, yellowed glasses, jokingly called Old Li by the students.

“Cough!!”

The sound was very conspicuous in the quiet classroom, immediately making the drowsy students alert, straightening their backs.

Shen Xingyan remained unmoved, sleeping soundly in front of the air conditioner. The boy sitting next to him hurriedly pushed his body.

“Shen Xingyan! Don’t sleep! Old Li is catching people!”

Shen Xingyan impatiently avoided that hand, his voice muffled, “Don’t disturb my sleep!”

“Shen Xingyan, stand up and recite this passage.” The English teacher, with a cold face, put the book behind him and walked down from the platform.

Chen Rui, sitting next to him, was nervous, repeatedly pushing him. Shen Xingyan finally raised his head and locked eyes with the English teacher.

“Um—Hello, teacher?” There was still a lot of sleepiness in his voice.

Chen Rui picked up the textbook to cover his face, his mouth twitched, hinting, “Old Li wants you to recite the book.”

Shen Xingyan realized it was not good, stood up hastily, tousled his red short hair a few times, his fair face still had red marks, and he grinned, “I didn’t memorize it.”

The English teacher could only fiercely slam the book in his hand twice, “A child who cannot be taught!”

“Go outside and stand up straight!”

“Yes!” Shen Xingyan knew it was his fault, didn’t argue, but instead saluted him like a Young Pioneers member and walked straight out.

“Hahaha!” Laughter filled the classroom.

The English teacher could only shake his head helplessly and reopened the textbook.

The figure of the young man walking out attracted many people’s attention. It was not surprising that he was punished to stand. The next class was watching a movie instead of studying, and several mischievous boys opened the window and teased.

“Oh, why is our Shen Xingyan out again today.”

“Get lost!” Shen Xingyan wasn’t angry, but deliberately retorted with a straight face, “Go watch your movie!”

“Chattering.”

“Oh, Shen Xingyan, don’t be angry, hahaha!”

In the midst of the banter, a person sneaked out from the next class, squatted down and walked to Shen Xingyan’s feet.

“Shen Xingyan, Li Yi from the school next door hasn’t been taught a lesson yet, and he asked someone to say to wait for us at the usual place in the afternoon.”

“Is that so?” Shen Xingyan leaned against the wall, raised his eyebrows slightly, “Then let’s go see in the afternoon.”

“I don’t know which little brat told on them. Chen Yi even said you offended their school’s school flower.” The boy became more and more excited, “Clearly, it was that little omega who failed in his love confession and got angry! Still a school flower!”

“You’re not as good-looking as Shen Xingyan. Shen Xingyan’s last pursuit was Ji Jiangye.”

Shen Xingyan lightly kicked the boy’s leg twice, telling him to shut up.

“Shen Xingyan! Stand properly when you’re punished!” The Chinese teacher thought he was talking and shouted loudly in the classroom.

The boy leaning at his feet was also worried about being discovered, so he bent over and sneaked back to his seat.

With his reminder, Shen Xingyan also remembered that there was indeed a seemingly clean and tidy omega in school uniform last week, but he was in a hurry to go home and didn’t even finish two sentences before leaving.

So that’s what happened?

Today’s classes were packed, and it wasn’t until 5:40 pm that school finally ended.

As soon as school was out, Shen Xingyan led a group of people out, and others quickly made way for them.

The freshmen who had only been in school for two months looked at the young man standing in front of the crowd. He was slim and tall, lazily draping his jacket over his shoulders, his red hair tousled by the gentle breeze. His dark starry eyes and bold smile were captivating.

“Who is that! So handsome!” The girls exclaimed excitedly, tugging at their friends’ sleeves. “I didn’t expect to have such a handsome senior in school!”

The woman next to them raised her glasses on her nose, also impressed. “If I’m not mistaken, he should be Senior Shen Xingyan. I’ve heard his name before, just haven’t seen him in person.”

“Shen Xingyan?” The girl clasped her hands together tightly against her chest. “Such a lovely name!”

“He’s a beta, and I heard he’s quite a player, dating and breaking up with one after another. He’s chased after over a dozen already.”

“Ah?” The girl seemed slightly disappointed but quickly put on a smile. “But that’s none of my business, it’s nice to admire him!”

“Let me tell you, Senior Ji, who’s in the same class as Shen Senior, is also amazing! Unfortunately, I haven’t seen him since school started.”

As the two chatted enthusiastically, Ji Jiangye, who was still in the classroom, sat in the front row by the window. With a slight turn of his head, he could see the most eye-catching figure with red hair in the crowd, but he quickly looked away.

Shen Xingyan led about twelve people to a small alley, and only then did Li Yi and his group emerge from behind them.

Li Yi stood at the alley entrance, took out a wooden stick from behind, and smirked at them, “Let’s see how you can win this time! Shen Xingyan, you think you can!”

“Let my omega cry his heart out when he returns to school!”

Shen Xingyan always looked down on such methods. The cool breeze blew, lifting his hair in a carefree manner, making his skin appear even fairer against the red hair.

He raised the corner of his mouth slightly, with a mocking tone, “Jealous that I’m more handsome than you, huh?”

The people standing next to Shen Xingyan all chuckled. Li Yi’s face turned black with anger. Despite being an alpha, he was not popular in looks, and even his pheromones smelled like stinky tofu.

“If you’ve got the guts, be tough later!” Li Yi’s eyes flickered, and the people behind him slowly approached Shen Xingyan and his group.

At the same time, Li Yi and several others surrounded Shen Xingyan. Their pheromones pressed heavily against him.

Normally, as a beta, Shen Xingyan was not affected by pheromones, but for some reason, today, in the circle of five alphas, he felt a bit suffocated.

He furrowed his brow, suppressing the strange feeling, and focused on facing their attacks.

Today, Ji Jiangye inexplicably decided to walk back, guided by a mysterious feeling, leading him in a certain direction.

As he reached a small alley, the alpha pheromones made him feel uneasy. Pheromones that shouldn’t have been present began to emanate from him. His gaze unconsciously drifted towards the source of those alpha pheromones.

Shen Xingyan leaned against the wall, snorted coldly.

Those people, unable to defeat him and resorting to dirty tricks, were eventually driven away by the people he brought. There were bruises on his arm from being accidentally hit by a stick.

Shen Xingyan was enveloped in those pheromones, almost nauseated, his brain spinning, and in agony, he covered his face with his hands.

In a daze, he lifted his head slightly and saw Ji Jiangye’s figure, those calm and proud eyes, and the young man dressed in a neat jacket, even in the peak of summer, the zipper had to be pulled up to his chest.

Ji Jiangye frowned as he approached him, “Dead?”

Shen Xingyan grimaced in pain, his brain slightly clearing, “Can’t you say something nice?”

But the person’s voice was calm and deep, and after pursuing this person for nearly three months, Shen Xingyan could not fail to recognize him.

“Ji Jiangye?” He raised his head, squinting, the prominent bruises on his fair skin were so obvious, his cheeks slightly flushed.

Ji Jiangye did not respond. Seeing that he still had a reaction, he wanted to leave because the pheromones here were driving him crazy.

The next moment, Shen Xingyan felt it even harder to breathe, cold sweat forming on his snow-white face, struggling to catch his breath.

Ji Jiangye paused in his steps, and then he saw Shen Xingyan collapse on the ground.
