Chapter 10 I Have a Friend
Shen Xingyan held his phone, pondering over how to reply, changing countless postures in the back seat, but still couldn’t figure out what to say.
The driver, who was driving, could see his dilemma and couldn’t help but glance back through the rearview mirror, “Young Master—”
The sudden voice in the quiet car startled Shen Xingyan, who wanted to nickname Ji Jiangye as “Big Fool,” making his phone fall to the ground out of guilt.
“N-nothing.” He awkwardly forced a smile, picked up his phone, and opened it.
【Heart gesture\/】
!!! How come this emoji was sent by him!!
Shen Xingyan’s face turned pale, quickly retracted the message, praying inwardly that Ji Jiangye hadn’t seen it.
He even felt like blocking Ji Jiangye on QQ.
But there was no immediate reply like when adding a friend, which relieved Shen Xingyan but also left him feeling troubled.
Retracting a message means the other person can see the notification! Doesn’t that mean he actually saw the message.
He couldn’t pretend not to have seen it anymore.
Helplessly, in the last minute before reaching home, he sent two words.
【It’s okay】
These two words, embarrassingly awkward, made Shen Xingyan, who sent them, want to dig his own feet. He couldn’t imagine how Ji Jiangye, with that kind of personality, would come back at him.
Suffocating.
Who understands.
Shen Xingyan lay down on the back seat, feeling like he could peacefully pass away.
Until he got off the car and returned home, he didn’t have the courage to check his phone, nor the time to do so.
As he pushed the door open, Shen Xin was sitting on the sofa, holding a few test papers, her black eyes slightly narrowed, occasionally clicking her tongue.
Shen Xingyan straightened his back, lowered his head, pretended he didn’t exist, and rushed forward.
“Shen Xingyan.”
Shen Xin’s appearance was not fierce, very beautiful, but her eyes and demeanor were extremely sharp, the smile on her face not matching the sharpness in her eyes, making people uneasy.
“Come here.”
Shen’s mother sat on the sofa beside her, looking uneasy, wanting to protect but not knowing what excuse to find, and finally had to go forward to please with a smile, saying softly:
“After all, he’s your younger brother.”
“Hmph.” Shen Xin sneered.
“Here.” Shen Xingyan responded gloomily, lowered his head, and silently walked over, feeling as if Shen Xin’s shock was engraved in his soul.
When Shen Xingyan approached, Shen Xin pressed the test paper in her hand on the table, and pointed forcefully at the huge 50.
“Tell me, how did you do on this.” She casually lifted her leg and crossed it, her sharp gaze never leaving Shen Xingyan.
Shen Xingyan didn’t dare say a word, Shen’s mother saw the tense atmosphere, her expression becoming very sad.
“Xin Xin, finally back, let’s have a good meal first.”
Shen Xin sighed deeply, leaned her hand on the side of the sofa, pinched her forehead with a headache.
“Go go go!”
Shen’s mother quickly gave Shen Xingyan a meaningful look, Shen Xingyan understood, and quickly fled from the living room.
Shen Xingyan returned to his room, breathed a sigh of relief, facing this alpha sister who was ten years older than him, he always felt a sense of suppression coming from his bloodline.
He collapsed on the bed, weakly took out his phone from his pocket, and found that Ji Jiangye still hadn’t replied to any messages.
Shen Xingyan rolled over, lay on the bed, looked down at his phone, and fell into contemplation.
Why didn’t he reply, was his reply really that awkward?
He slid down, opened the chat box with Chen Rui, and typed a few words directly.
【Are you there】
【Your dad is here, if you have something to say, say it quickly, I’m busy】
Chen Rui replied quickly, but the content of the message made Shen Xingyan curious.
【Damn, what are you busy with? Isn’t it evening self-study tonight?】
【Busy watching videos to learn how to make handmade bags, hurry up, Shen Xingyan, if you have something to say, say it】
Shen Xingyan rolled over again, held his phone, thought for a moment, and slowly typed a few words under Chen Rui’s repeated urging.
【You listen to me first, I have a friend】
【Oh~】
Chen Rui let out a very meaningful exclamation.
【? Oh, bull】
【I know what kind of routine it is, you continue, you continue】
Shen Xingyan didn’t care about what routine he was talking about, he was very conflicted, deleting and typing, worried about being interrupted by Chen Rui, and finally sent out a long string of words.
【I have a friend, he accidentally added someone’s friend, added the wrong person, purely a mistake, then that person immediately accepted, and took the initiative to send a message, asking if there was anything wrong, the friend made another mistake, first sent a heart gesture emoji, then retracted it, and then sent another “It’s okay”】
【But suddenly that person didn’t reply, so is it because my friend’s reply was too awkward, or what?】
On the chat box with Chen Rui, the four words “typing…” flashed and flashed, but no message appeared.
Shen Xingyan had to send a question mark.
【Shen Xingyan, um… you, um…】
This obviously hesitant look made Shen Xingyan immediately angry.
【What the hell are you mumbling about, spit it out quickly】
【Is there a possibility that your friend has a slightly low EQ? Or is everything he does accidentally actually intentional?】
【You can’t say that, why don’t you try sending something else to ease the situation?】
Shen Xingyan frowned.
【It’s my friend, not me】
【Ah yes yes, friend friend】
Shen Xingyan scrolled out of the chat box with Chen Rui, and re-clicked into the chat page with Ji Jiangye, looking at the empty page, and Ji Jiangye’s own nickname at the top, very old-fashioned, just a single character “Ji”.
So pretentious.
He really couldn’t stand it, and decided to change the nickname first. When he saw “Big Fool” in the nickname, Shen Xingyan finally felt comfortable, and even sending messages became smooth.
【Actually, I just wanted to ask why you didn’t come, I bought something and wanted to thank you for helping me out again and again】
Ji Jiangye didn’t reply, he became even bolder.
【But seriously, I didn’t expect you to like that kind of junior sister】
When Shen Xingyan sent this message, he didn’t realize his position at all. Those who didn’t know thought he was saying this out of sour grapes.
After sending these messages, Shen Xingyan felt refreshed, changed his clothes, threw his phone on the bed, and went downstairs to eat.
On the other side, Ji Jiangye, who received the message, was painfully pounding the wall because of the sensitive period.
The room was extremely dark, with only a large bed in it, and his phone was thrown on the bedside table.
An old man outside the door, who noticed the movement inside, looked anxious and wanted to open the door, but was stopped by the person beside him.
“Master, you can’t open it. This time, I don’t know why the specially made inhibitor doesn’t seem to work.”
The old man could only sigh, and started pacing back and forth in front of the door.
The walls were almost covered with traces of blood left by Ji Jiangye’s pounding. His black eyes concealed a red light. When he saw the phone light up, he stopped pounding.
