The Fall of the Alpha
The Fall of the Alpha Chapter 5

Chapter 5 I’m just bonding with the class monitor, right?

Shen Xingyan’s black eyes lifted slightly. He was about to walk past directly, but then he realized that the person stopping him was Ji Jiangye.

The system board flickered, shouting excitedly in his mind.

[Host! It’s him! Go, go, go!]

Go to hell.

Shen Xingyan’s expression looked very unnatural. The bag he was carrying suddenly felt hot in his hands, making him silently complain.

“Classmate.” Ji Jiangye’s expression remained unchanged. Seeing him in a daze, he tapped his notebook lightly with a pen. “Your hair doesn’t comply with school regulations.”

Shen Xingyan raised a fake smile. “Really? What do you think complies with regulations then?”

He originally wanted to retort to Ji Jiangye, but it was time for class, and more and more people were looking at them.

Even Shen Xingyan, who usually attracted attention, felt a bit overwhelmed.

Ji Jiangye, however, acted as if he didn’t notice anything. He turned around and pulled someone over. “Like him.”

The person he pulled over was Lin Ying, who was in charge of discipline for the student union. He was a little confused about the situation and could only push his glasses up with his hand.

Lin Ying was wearing a simple gray short-sleeved shirt paired with long pants, his entire appearance was almost identical to the school’s dress code. Shen Xingyan hissed.

If he had to become like that, it would be faster to drop out of school.

Ji Jiangye casually wrote a line on the form, tapped Shen Xingyan’s red hair with his pen, and said with a hint of subtle amusement in his tone, “Please dye your hair back by today.”

“You also have to attend evening self-study normally.”

“You!” Shen Xingyan grabbed Ji Jiangye’s hand, looking furious.

The students observing cautiously couldn’t help but gasp.

“This, is this going to be a fight?!”

“Although, but why do I feel like this scene is actually kind of harmonious!”

[Host, the revolution has not yet succeeded, endure.]

“Hey!” A man with a somewhat sturdy build walked over, wearing sunglasses and a whistle around his neck, with a stern expression.

“What are you doing? Shen Xingyan, are you causing trouble again?”

Shen Xingyan’s eyebrows twitched when he saw the man approaching. Why was he here?

This was their homeroom teacher, Chen Nengqiang. He was known for his size in the school, and many students thought he was a PE teacher, but he was actually a math teacher.

His face changed. He released Ji Jiangye’s hand, turned around, and put his arm around his neck, acting as if they were very close. “Oh, no, Mr. Chen, you’re wrong.”

“I’m just bonding with the class monitor, right?”

Chen Nengqiang took off his sunglasses, squinted his eyes, paced back and forth between them, and finally touched his chin, looking thoughtful.

Shen Xingyan felt like his mouth was going to split into a grin, but his homeroom teacher didn’t move, so he dared not let go.

Ji Jiangye looked down at him, staring at a small swirl of hair on his head, lost in thought.

“Hahaha!” Chen Nengqiang patted Shen Xingyan’s back hard. “That’s right!”

“I’ve told you before, spend more time with the class monitor, learn from him and get some study tips, you know?”

Shen Xingyan could only smile and nod repeatedly. “Yes, yes.”

Chen Nengqiang looked at them with satisfaction, put his sunglasses back on, and patted Shen Xingyan on the shoulder.

“Alright, you didn’t even arrive late today. Keep it up from now on.” Then he turned and walked away, humming a tune.

Ji Jiangye had never seen Shen Xingyan like this before. His gaze at him became somewhat playful.

Shen Xingyan immediately withdrew his hand after the homeroom teacher left. Noticing his teasing look, his face flushed.

“You!”

The sudden loud voice attracted the attention of several more people. He had to lean in and lower his voice, gritting his teeth, “You’re laughing at nothing!”

“If I wasn’t worried about him telling my mom, I would—”

“Shen Xingyan!” A shout came from far behind him.

Shen Xingyan was interrupted and didn’t want to say anything more. He simply snorted and walked past Ji Jiangye.

Ji Jiangye reached out and pulled him back, “Classmate Shen, remember the black hair before evening self-study.”

“I know.” He looked sulky, shaking off Ji Jiangye’s hand. “You’re so annoying.”

Chen Rui ran up and happened to see this scene. He couldn’t help but “wow” in his heart, then, full of gossip, he rushed behind Shen Xingyan and put his arm around his neck.

“Shen Xingyan!”

Shen Xingyan almost fell forward from being dragged, quickly pulling his hand away.

“What are you doing?!”

“What happened between you and Ji Jiangye just now? You two?”

Looking at the “gossip” radiating from his eyes, Shen Xingyan snorted coldly, “Heh, guess.”

“Is it because I told you last night that Ji Jiangye was holding someone, and then you went to question him, and he explained, and you wouldn’t listen, and he explained, and you wouldn’t listen…”

Seeing him become increasingly outrageous, Shen Xingyan took a deep breath, kicked him from behind, and strode forward, completely ignoring Chen Rui’s shouts behind him.

Reaching his seat, Shen Xingyan was annoyed by the coat in his hand. He sat down and threw it aside.

Chen Rui returned, rubbing his knees pitifully, looking like he had been bullied. He raised his index finger and middle finger in a flamboyant gesture in front of him, “Shen Xingyan~ How can you treat me like that?”

“How can you just do this to me when I’ve touched upon your secret thoughts~?”

After finishing, he put his hand down. He was just trying to disgust Shen Xingyan.

He sat down and saw a bag under Shen Xingyan’s seat, looking like a luxury brand. He was shocked.

Shen Xingyan, who is he crushing on now? Why is he buying gifts again? And this time, such a luxurious one?

Chen Rui was about to secretly open the bag a little to see what was inside, but as soon as he lowered his head, he felt an incredibly strong gaze on his back, as if he was going to be killed.

“What are you looking at?”

Chen Rui, although he enjoyed provoking people, was also a little guilty. He pretended to be looking for something under the table. “My pen fell, my pen fell.”

Shen Xingyan didn’t bother to expose him. He picked up the bag and placed it by the window. “Don’t look at things you shouldn’t.”

“I’m going to catch up on sleep. Call me when it’s time to switch classes.”

Chen Rui had thought he would be scolded, but now, seeing Shen Xingyan lying on the desk, he responded with a shrug.

When Shen Xingyan opened his eyes again, everyone else had already left. Chen Rui thought he would switch classes with him, so he was waiting at the door.

“Don’t wait for me, I’m not going yet.” Shen Xingyan yawned, and his eyes were filled with sleepiness, causing two tears to well up.

After everyone left, Shen Xingyan found that Ji Jiangye’s backpack was still on his seat. He swayed over, carrying the bag, to the front row, placed it on his desk, and was about to leave when he suddenly saw something familiar in his desk.

He sat down on the seat next to Ji Jiangye, curiously reaching out to get a better look.

[Host, friendly reminder, this is called stealing.]

“You’re the one stealing. I just want to take a look.” Shen Xingyan was startled by the sudden voice. This actually triggered his rebellious side.

The system silently looked at the location displayed on its board. Forget it, since he said it wasn’t stealing, it wouldn’t tell him.

Just as Shen Xingyan was about to take it out, Ji Jiangye happened to come back to the classroom from the doorway, carrying something, to get his backpack and saw this scene.

“What are you doing?”
