The Farming Family’s Precious Darling: A Sweet Little Lucky Charm at Home Chapter 106

Chapter 106: The Unlucky Old Man Wan

Before Wan Chunmei and Old Tan could react, Little Black bared its teeth and took another bite at the stepmother of the Wan family’s calf.

Its sharp teeth sank into flesh, the pain excruciating.

The Wan family’s stepmother’s face contorted in agony as she crawled towards the door, crying out, “Ah! Help! Help! Wan Chunmei, hurry, hurry, drag your dead dog away!”

Little Black held onto her calf, not letting go, its mouth dripping with bright red blood.

The Wan family’s stepmother struggled to get up, desperately crawling toward the door, leaving a long trail of blood behind her.

At this moment, Old Tan and Wan Chunmei finally snapped out of their shock. They both called to Little Black, “Little Black, come back, enough, enough.”

It seemed as though Little Black understood, as it swayed its tail and released its grip on her leg.

What followed was a sight to behold—Little Black’s sharp teeth still held onto a piece of flesh, which was attached to her clothing. The piece of flesh was about the size of half a fist.

“My leg… oh, my leg…” The Wan family’s stepmother crawled on, her exposed bone in plain sight. Her face was pale, drenched in cold sweat, no longer displaying the arrogance she had when she first entered.

Wan Chunmei called Little Black to her side and, with a stern look, ordered the Wan family’s stepmother, “You’d better leave now!”

The Wan family’s stepmother gripped the door for support, slowly rising to her feet. Through gritted teeth, she cursed at Wan Chunmei, “Wan Chunmei, you vile woman, wait, I’ll make sure you pay for this!”

She lifted her injured foot slightly, but the pain made her cry out in agony, “Oh… oh…”

“Woof! Woof!” Little Black growled fiercely, its eyes flashing with a menacing look.

Hearing this, the Wan family’s stepmother froze, her eyes rolling back as she collapsed, unconscious.

Wan Chunmei and Old Tan rushed to her side, slapping her face, shouting, “Wake up, wake up!”

The Wan family’s stepmother lay still, her eyes tightly shut.

Wan Chunmei became frantic, “Old man, do you think she’s dead?”

Old Tan checked her pulse and, relieved, said, “Don’t worry, she’s still breathing. Let’s get her to Doctor Li’s house.”

“Alright, alright,” Wan Chunmei agreed, nodding.

They were both simple farmers, not accustomed to such bloody scenes, so they were a little flustered. Their only thought was to quickly get this unlucky woman out of their home, not wanting any misfortune to linger at their doorstep.

Meanwhile, in the inner room, Tan Xiaomei was woken up by the commotion. She came out and asked, “Sister-in-law, what happened?”

“It’s nothing, Xiaomei. Watch over the kids for us. We’ll be back soon,” Old Tan said, giving her a few instructions before he and Wan Chunmei hurriedly carried the Wan family’s stepmother toward Doctor Li’s house.

At the same time.

Old Man Wan, frightened by Little Black, sprinted home, occasionally glancing behind him, afraid that the vicious dog might be chasing after him.

At that moment, Old Man Chen happened to return. He had been in the vegetable garden in the afternoon and then went to a neighbor’s house for drinks in the evening, so he was returning quite late. Seeing Old Man Wan running frantically, he quickly stopped him and asked, “Old Man Wan, what’s wrong?”

Panting, Old Man Wan said, “Dog… dog… dog bit me…”

Old Man Chen, after hearing “dog,” looked in the direction Old Man Wan had come from and asked, “Did you run into one of the village’s wild dogs?”

Old Man Wan quickly nodded but then shook his head vigorously.

Old Man Chen was even more confused, but assumed he had encountered a wild dog.

“Don’t worry, I’ll chase it away for you.”

With that, Old Man Chen set down his hoe and walked behind Old Man Wan.

Old Man Wan wiped the sweat from his brow, closed his eyes, and walked forward without looking back.

Unfortunately, just as he walked, he stepped on Old Man Chen’s hoe.

The hoe was knocked upward by his step, and the handle smacked Old Man Wan on the forehead with a loud thud.

Old Man Wan didn’t even have time to cry out before his eyes rolled back and he fell backward.

Old Man Chen heard the noise behind him and quickly turned around, panicked, “Old Man Wan! What’s wrong?!”

Old Man Wan lay on the ground, his head swelling with a lump, unmoving.

Old Man Chen was startled and hurriedly lifted Old Man Wan, carrying him toward Doctor Li’s house.

Just as Old Man Chen arrived at Doctor Li’s house, Wan Chunmei and Old Tan arrived, carrying the Wan family’s stepmother.
