And Su Wan was prepared the medicine for Gu Huaizhi.

During the gap, she prepared the ingredients, planning to make half a chicken, a bowl of bok choy, steamed fish, and meatball soup for dinner.

Everything was ready, and the hot medicine had cooled down.

Su Wan carried it to Gu Huaizhi’s door and knocked: “Gu Huaizhi, open the door.”

Gu Huaizhi opened the door, and there was a light medicinal fragrance on his body.

“Take your medicine.” Su Wan handed over the bowl with both hands.

Gu Huaizhi looked down at the dark medicine, and his deep and dark eyes, faintly shining with a cold light.

Unable to stand the taste of the bitter medicine, Su Wan, with a bitter face, darted into the kitchen to rinse her mouth.

Gu Huaizhi’s mouth tasted bitter, and just one touch of it made him realize that this medicine was different from what he had drunk before.

His gaze lingered on the kitchen, deep in thought.

“It’ll be ready soon.” Su Wan saw their greedy looks and couldn’t help but laugh, then sprinkled a handful of chopped green onions.

The enticing aroma was released, and the two greedy cats were in agony, drooling all over the floor.

Su Wan took the chicken out of the pot, and Gu Jingyun eagerly carried it out.

The fish was already steamed, and the remaining dishes were simple, they would be ready in a short while.

The two little ones arranged the dishes and chopsticks.

The family sat neatly around the table.

Mother Gu ladled a bowl of meatball soup for Su Wan and said to Gu Huaizhi: “I heard today that there’s a divine doctor in town who can bring the dead back to life. Huaizhi, shall we visit the Xinglin Medical Hall tomorrow?”
