{“What about you, Dad? Are you jealous?” 2}
She began to feel that if Bian Yuan wanted to pursue Xu Wanwan, even if Bian Yuan already had a daughter outside, his conditions were still much better.
Lin Wushen simply couldn’t compare to Bian Yuan.
With this preconceived notion in her mind, she naturally believed that the big shot preferred this type. Yu Suye was confident in her judgment; she didn’t rush to ask for money but instead kindly reminded Xu Wanwan, “Xu classmate, look, a real man could have comfortably embraced you, but because another woman showed up, he hesitated. This shows how cowardly he is.”
Xu Wanwan’s small face turned bright red, yet she insisted on defending the scumbag, saying, “You… don’t spout nonsense, Wushen isn’t like that.”
Yu Suye couldn’t help but wonder if there was a bug in this world; perhaps Xu Wanwan had been force-fed a love potion by the heavens.
But Xu Wanwan’s tone was so sincere when she spoke.
It didn’t seem like an act at all.
As for Lin Wushen, he thought Yu Suye’s words were somewhat unpleasant, yet standing in the dimly lit hallway, he was particularly enjoying the competition between the two women over him.
Yu Suye realized that Lin Wushen was feeling pleased with himself, and she had no intention of letting him have his way, lest he continue to take advantage of her.
Yu Suye opened her mouth and said, “Lin Wushen, when are you going to return my things?”
“Don’t tell me you came here just to mess with me, wanting me to pay for your group of friends!?”
She spoke quickly and harshly, giving the man no room to maneuver, let alone control the situation.
“Is your calculation too loud to ignore?”
Lin Wushen felt a wave of shame; he couldn’t imagine that Yu Suye would choose this moment to expose him in front of another woman.
At that moment, Lin Wushen felt a bit regretful. Although he enjoyed having women compete for his attention, clearly, he didn’t appreciate Yu Suye’s aggressive attitude. He flatly denied her accusation, his face turning a mix of pale and green, “That’s not true; don’t speak nonsense.”
However, Yu Suye was even more committed to revealing this man’s ugly side in front of Xu Wanwan.
She wanted to leave a way out for Xingxing’s dad.
But Xu Wanwan was truly oblivious, saying, “Senior Yu, you can’t defame a boy’s character just because you can’t win him over.”
Yu Suye was genuinely angry.
How could there really be such a love-struck brain in this world that makes people want to smack it?
She suddenly understood what the dorm leader had felt when looking at her.
At this moment, Lin Wushen’s group of male university friends, who were nothing but drinking buddies, pushed open the door to the private room. They had purposely turned off the music inside and were listening intently; rather than support the down-and-out Lin Wushen, they were more willing to stand by and watch the joke unfold.
But things didn’t go as planned. Perhaps Lin Wushen’s recharge and deposit were too little; they had started to stop serving champagne.
They had no choice but to poke their heads out, pretending to be fair-minded, but in reality, they were all siding with Lin Wushen, ready to “muddle things over.”
“Wushen, come back quickly! Our Su Su is too anxious waiting for you, which is why she said such hurtful things.”
But today, Yu Suye was unwilling to maintain the dignity she had purposely left behind. “Why don’t you guys organize all the previous payment links and just return everything to me in cash?”
The group immediately fell silent.
Yu Suye felt it was necessary to clarify things with Xu Wanwan.
“Miss Xu, is it possible that I’m not pursuing Lin Wushen, but rather hoping he returns the items worth over five thousand that he took from me in the past?”
“Maybe you don’t want to believe it, but this meeting was indeed initiated by your senior Lin calling me over to retrieve them.”
Yu Suye prepared to lay out the chat records in front of Xu Wanwan.
However, Yu Suye still couldn’t understand why someone would choose to turn a blind eye to the truth when faced with it, but Xu Wanwan was unwilling to believe her, shaking her head firmly and standing her ground.
It seemed as if Yu Suye was the one making things difficult for her.
Yu Suye’s thoughts became increasingly clear. “Lin Wushen, you made me come all this way for nothing; shouldn’t you explain the situation and apologize to me?”
“My time, which was wasted on you before, is now more valuable.”
“Yu Suye, enough,” Lin Wushen snapped, unable to bear it any longer. He still wore a reluctant expression. “I’ll go back and get it for you.”
Lin Wushen knew that the furious Yu Suye might genuinely have no feelings for him anymore. Yet he also understood some peculiar details behind Xu Wanwan’s background, so of course he wouldn’t want to lose two suitors with excessive material conditions overnight.
He had to turn back, explaining delicately and gently to one of them, “Wanwan, don’t be afraid. Actually, it was Yu Suye who transferred that computer to me under the pretense of someone gifting it. I genuinely thought I had won a prize, which is why I reluctantly accepted it.”
He sounded so noble that Yu Suye couldn’t help but sigh in exasperation.
But she didn’t mind playing the villain to the end.
“And what about your shoes?”
“Don’t you know I gave them to you?”
“Why not just take them off and throw them away for me!?”
Yu Suye couldn’t listen any longer. Previously, she could still entertain the naive fantasy that Lin Wushen might be completely unaware. Now, seeing him manipulate people’s hearts like this, she felt he was the most despicable person in the world.
“When you’re trying to charm women, you should consider whether I’m present or not. Don’t say these ridiculous lies in front of me. I’m stating this clearly today.”
“I can do without the computer.”
Yu Suye thought that getting her things back from such a stingy man was sheer fantasy; she could always earn back the money for the first month of her loan herself.
“But can you not be so disgusting? If you expect me to keep paying for you in the future, you need to make it clear to your bunch of worthless friends that I won’t pay a single cent from now on! I’d rather buy food for dogs than spend a dime on garbage like you!”
With that, Yu Suye simply blacklisted and deleted Lin Wushen in front of everyone.
She walked away with an attitude of “never speaking again.”
But she didn’t realize that the more decisively she left, the larger the empty space felt in Lin Wushen’s heart, which had suddenly lost all hope.
