The Female Villain and Male Villain Have a Kid Now: Chapter 21-2

{“Ms. Yu also has a penchant for going around being a ‘dad’.” 2}

“Mr. Bian?”

Yu Suyue could no longer endure Bian Yuan’s scorching gaze; in the old society, such looks could eat people alive. She decisively set aside her cooking duties, took out the frozen yogurt, and returned it to the small fridge in the treehouse.

Bian Yuan’s expression was filled with weariness. “Aren’t you cooking anymore?”

Bian Yixing, carefree, joined in, suggesting that since Su Su was playing the role of “Dad,” her real dad should naturally become “Mom.”

So, at that moment, Bian Yixing said, “How about you take over cooking?”

“Since Su Su is playing my dad in the game, the dad can be a hands-off manager,” Bian Yixing argued logically, not merely joking. She had even considered Bian Yuan’s preference for cleanliness and had prepared an apron for him in advance. “Why don’t you be ‘Mom’ and cook for us?”

Yu Suyue couldn’t hold back any longer.

She burst out laughing, “Hahahahahahaha.”

Though children often speak without a filter, Bian Yixing’s innocence was perhaps a bit too much, as she was directly disturbing the established order.

Underneath her cheerful expression, Yu Suyue was met with the sight of the man awkwardly putting on the apron, his demeanor indifferent.

To ease the awkwardness—or perhaps to amplify it—Yu Suyue made sure to take a fresh photo of Bian Yuan in the little bear apron.

“Don’t take a picture.”

But with a “click,” Yu Suyue had truly managed to ignore the pressure of the situation.

“I think this will be very meaningful. We can hang it up in the treehouse later…”

The man raised his hand, and Yu Suyue quickly covered her head with both hands, fearing he might scold her in anger. To her surprise, he remained calm, staring directly at her.

As always, he was waiting for her to apologize or compromise.

He spread his hands, indicating her phone, which she had just photographed him with. Yu Suyue, used to this, said, “Then I’ll delete it myself.”

“What, Miss Yu, do you have a secret on your phone?”

Yu Suyue didn’t know how to respond to Bian Yuan’s question. She only knew that this big shot was dangerous; perhaps he didn’t even need a phone, as his extensive experience in business had already seen through her.

“No, I’ll delete it.” But there were still backups in the cloud.

Bian Yuan took his time tying the apron, nonchalantly responding with an “oh.” At first, he seemed indifferent, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt unsure of appearing in Yu Suyue’s phone.

Bian Yuan fell into a perplexed contemplation.

Meanwhile, Yu Suyue was still assisting him, and the atmosphere was quite strange. The only one unaffected by their complicated relationship was Bian Yixing.

Her parents were ostensibly playing misaligned roles but were also present in her dream treehouse, cooking for her.

Due to previous financial constraints, she once thought her dad’s promises were just empty words, but she never imagined that one day they would actually fulfill such a wish.

Bian Yixing was particularly excited, running back and forth in the treehouse.

This also led to some unnecessary troubles, like flour flying everywhere, and the caramel pudding, still unset, was almost entirely consumed by the eagerly waiting child.

Yu Suyue was worried about whether the child would be greedy or sneak food while also dealing with the big boss’s inconsistent cooperation.

Amid her busy schedule, she unexpectedly received a phone call.

The number was unfamiliar.

“Is this Senior Suyue?”

Yu Suyue recognized the voice; it was a junior she had helped last night. She had no idea how they had found her, but in the brief moment of answering the call, she finally had a moment to relax.

“Yes, it’s me.”

Yu Suyue patted the dust off her hands onto herself.

“Here’s the thing, Senior. We had no experience planning a birthday party, and thanks to your reminders yesterday, we barely managed to arrange everything.”

“Don’t mention it. I’ve always been a warm-hearted person.”

What she said didn’t seem out of place; at this moment, she was indeed here because of her warm-hearted nature, accompanying the inexperienced father and daughter in the kitchen.

“Senior Yu, we have a small request. Could you help us organize a little gathering afterwards?” The junior spoke apologetically, half begging. “I have a friend coming back from abroad, and I have no experience at all.”

“As for the budget, just make it reasonable in your opinion. And of course, we will compensate you for the trouble.”

Various ideas for champagne, whiskey, and even addresses for villas with pools, as well as transportation options, flashed through Yu Suyue’s mind as she mentally considered everything needed for the gathering.

She took out the colorful pens hidden in the little treehouse and sketched several times.

“Alright, just tell me the specific date, and I’ll discuss it with you when I return.”

“I’m so sorry to disturb you while you’re on a date…”

Yu Suyue had no objections, but she found it hard to compliment the term “date.” This was hardly a date; it was clearly another part-time job. However, she hadn’t expected that after worrying about her mortgage the previous night, she’d find a… new business opportunity the next day, especially since Lin Wushen had prudently returned her things.

Overwhelmed with joy, Yu Suyue eagerly returned to the task of kneading dough.

As luck would have it, her vigorous kneading ended up getting some dough on the boss.

She expected to see nothing but disdain on his face, but to her surprise, his first reaction was to methodically wipe the excess flour off her face.

Bian Yuan’s hand gently swept across her cheek.

He used a very fine handkerchief.

The motion wasn’t particularly gentle, but it had an inexplicable rhythm—steady and orderly, just like Bian Yuan himself, who lived life at his own specific pace.

Yu Suyue knew that if it had been any other young girl in her place, she would probably feel a flutter of tenderness in her heart. Yet, she remained unaffected until a little girl suddenly chimed in.

“Why does your face look like a raccoon?”

Hadn’t the boss already wiped her face? How exactly had he done it?!
