{“Susu, I miss you so much” 2}
This time, seeing her mother deftly hanging her father’s coat, Bian Yixing had the illusion that—
They had returned to the days when they were together.
But before she could express her long-missed affection towards her mother, her bad father’s stern glance stopped her.
She looked at her mother with a hint of resentment.
But, wow, mom was so beautiful when she was young. Dad said she was still studying at this time. Seeing her mother with full, youthful cheeks for the first time made her want to press her cheek against hers.
Later, mom claimed she pursued the slender beauty ideal, but maybe it was because the family’s expenses grew after she was born?
That’s why mom lost weight.
Remembering the past, little Bian Yixing couldn’t help but feel more protective of her mother.
Then, without warning, she hugged her again.
Yu Suye, overwhelmed by the child’s affectionate and clingy hug, boldly asked Bian Yuan, “Mr. Bian, I feel a strong connection with this child. Could I visit her often?”
There was no response.
Only the sharp jawline and a hint of coolness in the man’s breath met her.
After waiting for a while, Yu Suye realized she had overstepped and quickly retracted her words, “Mr. Bian, I was just caught up in the moment. I didn’t mean to intrude on you and your family.”
Yu Suye felt awkward saying this.
But to little Bian Yixing, her mother’s soft voice sounded incredibly sweet.
Yu Suye hadn’t expected him to allow her to visit his daughter again in the future.
After all, many people tried to use connections to climb the social ladder, and she had heard that Bian Yuan was known for being stern and impartial.
But she was different from those people motivated by self-interest.
Her goal was simple—she just wanted to heal her psychological issues through the company of his daughter.
She found the whole situation almost laughable.
The answer was already clear to everyone.
Yet, unexpectedly, the situation took a turn. The little girl clung to Bian Yuan, saying, “I just want to play with Su Su. I want to play with her!”
“Nonsense.”
Though he scolded her, how could a man who personally put his daughter’s shoes on not be a doting father?
He then lifted his cool gaze.
“You can come once a week. I’ll pay you the same as other tutors.”
Yu Suye was both shocked and delighted. She had imagined good things could happen, but never thought they would happen to her.
Wasn’t this solving her psychological problem while earning some extra cash?
How could she not be excited?
“Mr. Bian, I’ll take good care of her. I’ll treat her like…” Before she could finish speaking, she noticed Bian Yuan patiently waiting for her next words.
And he seemed quite interested.
Yu Suye hesitated. No matter how bold she was, she couldn’t claim someone else’s daughter as her own, so she backtracked, “I’ll treat her like the most precious little princess.”
The man suddenly sipped his water, revealing a barely noticeable smile.
He handed her a cup of tea, not the plain one he had for himself but one with a slice of lemon just like she likes.
Yu Suye found it unbelievable.
Mr. Bian personally poured her tea?
She was flustered and thanked him, “Thank you.”
Bian Yuan replied with the same thanks, “You also helped me hang up my coat. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, little Bian Yixing covered her face for some reason.
“Daddy, you’re embarrassing.”
It was confirmed—she was definitely the daughter of the boss.
Realizing the child might have been embarrassed by her interaction with the boss, Yu Suye was stunned.
Do kids these days have such vivid imaginations?
Or are they just this mature?
“You’re too old for that, no need to be embarrassed,” Bian Yuan said as he walked past Bian Yixing and untied the thick pink scarf from her neck. “Play for a bit more; it’s time for dinner soon.”
He then reminded Yu Suye, “You don’t need to treat her like a princess.”
Yu Suye quickly nodded.
After playing for a while, Yu Suye thought that if it were an ordinary child, she might have already learned about their kindergarten crush.
But this little one kept all her secrets to herself.
Do rich kids have such a strong sense of self-protection?
Yu Suye couldn’t figure it out, but one thing was certain—tonight would be a good night’s sleep, and Lin Wushen would no longer haunt her dreams.
As soon as Yu Suye left, little Bian Yixing angrily stomped to her father at the dining table, her cheeks puffing with anger.
“Why can’t I call her ‘mom’?”
“She’s still young and a student,” Bian Yuan calmly set down his sharp utensils and explained in the most rational voice, “She might not be ready to be a mom yet. If you call her that, you might scare her away.”
