The Fiery Little Darling: Taming the Cold-Hearted Overlord Chapter 2

Chapter 2 The Brave Supporting Actress, Unafraid of Difficulties

The next morning.

Qu Qingzhi walked into the classroom, carrying her schoolbag.

The original host of this body was a senior in high school, with just two months left before the college entrance exams.

Before Qu Qingzhi was transported into this book’s world, she was already attending university. She hadn’t expected that a car accident would inexplicably bring her into this fictional world.

On top of that, she was bound to a useless system that could only remind her to follow the storyline—otherwise, she would be punished with electric shocks if her character collapsed.

**[Plot Triggered—]**

**[Pour water over Xie Muchan’s head and shout, “From now on, anyone who messes with Xie Muhuanis my friend, and I’ll give them a big red envelope!”]**

Qu Qingzhi was speechless.

Such a cringe-worthy line…

But the original host really was filthy rich.

Her parents had divorced long ago, and she lived with her father, Qu. Her monthly allowance reached seven figures. That didn’t even include the luxury goods, jewelry, and paintings her mother frequently sent her.

Her classmates knew she was rich and liked throwing money around.

As a result, the original host had quite a few good-for-nothing friends.

“Zhi Jie!”

Before Qu Qingzhi could even get to Xie Muchan’s seat, a chubby boy sidled up to her and said ingratiatingly, “We all know Xie Muhuanwas kicked out of his family. Back then, you gave him a chance, and he didn’t appreciate it. How dare he reject you? Want us to teach him a lesson?”

Qu Qingzhi raised her eyes and looked toward the last row by the window, where Xie Muhuan sat.

He was already there, lying on the desk, fast asleep.

Maybe he’d had a sleepless night?

After all, he had been through such a major upheaval. From living in a luxury mansion with a comfortable bed, he’d been reduced to sleeping on a small balcony, possibly without even enough to eat.

“No need for your help. I’ll handle him myself!” Qu Qingzhi snorted coldly and took out a bottle of mineral water from her bag.

She strode quickly to the last row and unscrewed the cap.

Just as she was about to act, Xie Muhuansuddenly lifted his head, his dark eyes cold and sharp, staring directly at her.

Qu Qingzhi was startled, the hair on the back of her neck standing on end.

“What are you looking at?” she snarled, putting on a fierce expression. “If you dare touch me, I’ll make sure you can’t stay in school. You can forget about taking the college entrance exams!”

Xie Muchan’s gaze grew even colder, like a dark, icy pond deep in a forest, untouched for years.

“I’m bullying you. So what?” Qu Qingzhi’s back was chilled, but she quickly raised her hand and dumped the mineral water over his head!

Xie Muhuanslightly moved to the side, letting half of the water drench his chair while the other half soaked his shoulder.

He suddenly smirked, his voice eerie and cold. “Satisfied?”

He could have easily avoided it.

But he deliberately let her succeed.

Qu Qingzhi knew what he was doing—enduring everything just to be able to take his college exams.

Her heart felt guilty, but her pretty face remained arrogant. “Not satisfied. Maybe if you kneel and beg me one day, I’ll be satisfied.”

She turned to her classmates, who were watching the drama unfold, and called out, “From now on, whoever messes with Xie Muhuan is my friend. I’ll send you all big red envelopes!”

Finally, she completed this part of the plot.

Hugging her schoolbag, Qu Qingzhi hurried back to her seat.

The day passed uneventfully.

After the evening self-study session, Qu Qingzhi quietly followed Xie Muchan.

To save bus fare, he walked home.

As he passed through a small alley, a scruffy middle-aged man with a stubbly beard suddenly appeared!

“Xie Muhuan, is that you?” The man spoke excitedly.

“You are…?” Xie Muhuan stopped in his tracks, staring at the man’s face.

The man’s clothes were tattered, and he looked disheveled, but his facial features were almost identical to Xie Muhuan’s.

“I’m your dad! Your real dad!” The man said, reaching out to grab Xie Muhuan’s hand.

Xie Muhuan stepped back two paces, his expression cold and distant. “What do you want?”

The man chuckled, “I just got out of prison recently. I heard from that woman, Xiuqin, that we took the wrong child back then. Seeing you now, I don’t even need a DNA test to know you’re my biological son.”

Xie Muchan’s expression grew even colder. “If there’s nothing else, I need to get back and study.”

“Don’t rush off!” The man shouted anxiously, “Didn’t you bring anything valuable out from the Xie family? Don’t tell me you’re not going to share anything with your real dad?”

Xie Muhuan lowered his eyes and let out a cold laugh.

So, these were his real parents.

His life was like a cruel joke.

“Xie Muhuan , don’t listen to that woman, Xiuqin. Don’t give all your valuables to her. I’m your father. You’ll need to rely on me in the future.” The man coaxed, trying to sound affectionate. “I just got out of prison, and times are tough. Lend me some money first. Once I make a comeback, everything will be yours to inherit, anyway.”

Xie Muhuan looked up and said flatly, “I have no money. The Xie family only let me leave with my textbooks.”

The man rolled his eyes dismissively. “Who are you fooling? I’ve done my homework. The Xie family is filthy rich. Even their watches cost millions. If you don’t want to share, don’t blame your old man for not being polite.”

Xie Muchan’s eyes narrowed slightly as he sensed the hidden threat in the man’s words. “What do you mean by that?”

“When you were nine, you were kidnapped, right? My buddies looked into it for me. You were taken to a mountain village in Chuanxian and almost killed. Lucky for you, an old lady who collected trash saved you,” the man rubbed his stubble and snorted. “You’ve been secretly taking care of her for years, giving her money and food. So filial.”

Xie Muhuan now understood the man’s intent.

He was threatening him.

“If you want that old lady to keep living well, you’d better give me one million.” The man dropped his fake fatherly act, revealing a greedy and malicious expression. “I don’t care how you get the money from the Xie family. But if I don’t see a million in three days, my buddies will take action.”

With that, the man spat on the ground and turned away.

Xie Muhuan stood there for a long time without moving.

Qu Qingzhi, hiding in the shadows, saw that his fists were clenched tightly, the veins on the back of his hands bulging.

The silver moonlight bathed his tall, rigid figure in a violent, cold light.

The murderous intent was palpable.

“If I remember correctly, in the original storyline, Xie Muhuanlater killed his real dad in self-defense…” Qu Qingzhi spoke to the system in her mind. “Are you sure he won’t lose control and kill me if I push him now?”

The system urged her: **[The brave supporting actress is unafraid of difficulties.]**

Qu Qingzhi took a deep breath, about to curse the stupid system, when she saw Xie Muhuanturn around, his sharp, icy gaze cutting straight toward her.
