Chapter 4 Why are you so tender?
Qin Weizhao’s sweet voice sounded, making people feel better.
Jiang Wansheng hugged her back and exclaimed, “Why are you back?”
Qin Weizhao let go of her hand, her bright apricot eyes blinking, her rosy lips slightly pouted, with delicate makeup, a pitiful appearance that softened people’s hearts.
“I sent you so many WeChat messages, and you didn’t reply, so I came back directly.”
Jiang Wansheng then realized that she hadn’t checked her phone from last night until now. She took it out, and Qin Weizhao had sent her a total of 16 messages on WeChat.
Qin Weizhao pointed to the little red dot with the number 16, looking pitiful as if saying, “Look at you, not replying to my messages.”
Jiang Wansheng apologized, “I’m sorry, Weizhao, I had some issues and didn’t check my phone. To make it up to you, I’ll treat you to dinner tonight.”
Qin Weizhao smiled and pinched her smooth face, “If you let me pinch your face more, I won’t be mad at all.”
“Besides, I can’t let you treat me alone. I’ve already arranged for us to meet with the dormitory group tonight. We’ll have roadside barbecue and beer, can’t miss the lamb skewers!”
After speaking, she let go of Jiang Wansheng’s cheek.
But her skin was delicate, a little pressure would make it blush and leave marks. Qin Weizhao looked at her and exclaimed, “Wansheng, why are you so tender? So obedient and tender, I can’t handle it as a girl, I wonder who will benefit from it in the future.”
Qin Weizhao is a pampered little princess at home, with a sweet appearance like a porcelain doll, but she wants to be a cool older sister, speaking and acting boldly and straightforwardly, never being coy.
The two have been roommates for three years and have a great relationship.
Jiang Wansheng blushed at her words, “Don’t talk nonsense…”
She remembered the main point, “How was your competition?”
Qin Weizhao raised her chin slightly, her eyes sparkling, “I successfully advanced to the finals, which will be held in the summer.”
“Is it in the capital?”
“No,” Qin Weizhao said somewhat reluctantly, “It’s in Cloud City, and I’ll probably be there for over half a month.”
Jiang Wansheng smiled, “Weizhao will definitely be the champion. Tonight, besides welcoming you, we’ll celebrate your successful advancement.”
Qin Weizhao replied, “Don’t worry, I won’t hold back.”
“Oh, Weizhao, there’s something else I want to tell you.”
After some consideration, Jiang Wansheng decided to tell Qin Weizhao about what happened last night.
Qin Mo is Qin Weizhao’s third uncle. Her parents are Qin Mo’s older brother and sister-in-law, both well-known composer and international actress, who often travel and are not home. They entrusted Qin Weizhao to Qin Mo.
Qin Weizhao usually stays in the dormitory, but during holidays, she doesn’t want to go back to the old house and stays in the Chongfei Garden under Qin Mo’s name, where an aunt takes care of her. When Qin Mo is not busy, he also comes back to live with her. Qin Weizhao will eventually know about this, so Jiang Wansheng decided to be honest.
She also wanted to give a thank-you gift to Qin Mo and thought she could ask Qin Weizhao for her opinion.
Jiang Wansheng told her about last night, and Qin Weizhao, being protective and straightforward, couldn’t sit still after hearing it and immediately wanted to go and confront the person.
“What a despicable man, thinking he can do whatever he wants with a few bucks at home, without even knowing that you belong to me, Qin Weizhao, trying to show off in front of me!”
“And you, whatever Wen Qing, selfish and hypocritical. If you hadn’t met my little uncle, where would you cry if you hadn’t? If I don’t go and mess up that club, I’ll write my name Qin backward!”
Jiang Wansheng had anticipated her reaction and casually pulled her along, saying, “That Zheng Wen, my little uncle has already helped handle it. As for Wen Qing, don’t worry, Zheng Wen didn’t end well, and Wen Qing won’t benefit either. She won’t be able to apply for graduate school, and her act of betraying the club members will be embarrassing enough for her in the literary society. You don’t need to bother yourself with it anymore.”
Upon hearing this, Qin Weizhao calmed down, “I see, I thought you had let it go easily. That’s good, we can’t let people bully us for no reason!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t compromise myself. I mainly wanted to ask you, what does my little uncle usually like? He didn’t just stand by and helped me, so I should show my appreciation.”
She hated owing others, even though Qin Mo lacked nothing, she still wanted to show her gratitude.
Qin Weizhao pondered for a moment, feeling a bit conflicted, “My little uncle has always been indifferent since childhood, I’ve never seen him care about anything or anyone. Maybe it’s because he handles everything with ease, effortlessly, so he doesn’t care about anything, he’s desireless. I really can’t say what he likes when you ask me.”
Jiang Wansheng pursed her lips at this, furrowing her brows in distress.
“Just give him something random, he won’t care anyway,” Qin Weizhao said bluntly.
After some thought, Jiang Wansheng, besides reading, was only skilled in baking.
With limited financial means, anything she bought would not appeal to Qin Mo and would be a waste. It was better to make some cookies, perhaps he would enjoy a few bites.
“Can I make some cookies then?”
Qin Weizhao’s eyes lit up, “Sure, if my little uncle doesn’t eat them, I can have them.”
Jiang Wansheng chuckled.
“His birthday is coming up, you can give them as a birthday gift then.”
“Alright, I’ll trouble you to deliver them when the time comes,” Jiang Wansheng said.
Qin Weizhao imitated her gentle tone, “It’s nothing, just a small matter.”
