A stormy night.
The damp air seeped through the window.
A tall, straight man gripped the girl’s slender wrist and pinned her against the floor-to-ceiling window. Lowering his head, he tenderly kissed the red scar on her butterfly bone.
His burning breath dyed the skin behind the girl’s ear a gorgeous flush of pink.
His fingers pressed past her lips and tongue as he asked in a hoarse voice:
“He betrayed you, so I’ll steal you away instead…”
“Would that be all right?”
…
【Please prepare to receive the storyline.】
Xin Ling (serious and obedient.jpg): 【Mm-hm, I’m ready, let’s begin.】
Hearing the familiar mechanical voice in her ear, Xin Ling was already used to it.
She was bound to a cannon fodder female supporting-role system.
As the name suggested, she had to play the role of cannon fodder women in the small worlds, taking their place to push the plot forward.
But she was an unlucky little thing. Bound after suddenly dying of congenital heart disease, she hadn’t even cleared the beginner’s tutorial before the system assigned to her, “Duo Duo,” ran off.
And now, she was left only with a cold, merciless mechanical system.

【Small World loading…】
World Title: “The Evil Young Master’s Contract Angel Is a Sweetheart”
This was a small world woven from Heaven, Hell, and the human realm.
The male lead of this world, Ouyang Shaojing, was an outstanding graduate of the Christ Noble Academy. Xin Ling was the guardian angel Heaven had assigned to him.
During an outing, an accident struck. To protect Ouyang Shaojing, Xin Ling was captured by demons.
When she struggled back to his side at all costs—even at the price of breaking her own angel wings—she discovered another guardian angel already there beside him.
That angel was none other than the world’s heroine, Tang Yue.
【Ding! Plotline triggered: Please play the role of the heartbroken cannon fodder, and through constant provocation and self-destructive actions against the heroine, eventually be abandoned by the male lead.】
【Plotline Progress: 0%!】
Creaaak.
The door was pushed open.
A tall figure appeared at the doorway. Backlit, he stepped inside, lifting a leg to kick the girl’s bed.
“Hey, wake up. Don’t sleep like a dead pig. Go buy me something.”
Xin Ling, lying on her side, opened her misty eyes, only to be met with sharp, searing pain radiating from her back.
It tore through skin and bone, hurting so much she nearly fainted.
“Ajing…”
The girl before him was pale as paper, her breath thin as gossamer. Ouyang Shaojing frowned in dissatisfaction at the sight.
“Stop pretending, Xin Ling. Ayue already told me—it’s just a scratch to you people. Putting on this act just to get my attention, is that it?”
“No, I’m not—”
Cold sweat dotted Xin Ling’s forehead. She forced herself to endure it, raising her tear-brimmed red eyes toward him.
Her voice was gentle, considerate, yet the man remained unmoved.
“Enough, Xin Ling. Whether you are or not, get up right now. Drive to the convenience store and buy me a box of condoms.”
Ouyang Shaojing drew back his gaze, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes.
He thought Ayue was right—this woman was used to feigning pitifulness just to win others’ sympathy.
A wingless angel, stripped of her powers, still restless, still coveting him?
Did she even deserve to?
“And also, bring back the snacks I usually tell you to buy. Ayue wants some.”
【Ding! Mission triggered: Please comply with the male lead Ouyang Shaojing’s request and immediately head to the convenience store.】
Bang—!
Another slam of the door, and the man raised his leg, cold and unfeeling, leaving Xin Ling’s room.
Sigh…
For the sake of completing the mission, Xin Ling had no choice but to “diligently and dutifully” sit up, though inwardly she had already cursed the male lead dozens of times.
Sending her out to buy condoms…?
Was that Ouyang Shaojing’s idea or Tang Yue’s? On purpose?
The thought slowed her movements.
She slipped barefoot from the bed. Her soft, porcelain-white toes touched the icy floor, making her flinch. Her skin shivered as if dusted with fine frost.
The curtains stirred without wind, gently fluttering. The movement was slight, so Xin Ling paid it no mind.
She first locked the door, then went to the full-length mirror and unhesitatingly stripped off her top.
The girl’s pale back was reflected in the mirror.
Her skin, porcelain white, grew tinted with red as the gaze traveled upward. At her butterfly bones, two shocking gashes crossed her flesh.
The wounds split open, any movement threatening to tear and bleed anew.
“This is supposed to be a small injury…” Xin Ling furrowed her pretty brows, her lips twisting in a pained complaint. “If this is small, then what counts as serious?”
Death?
Xin Ling didn’t understand, nor did she care to.
“Hiss…”
“It hurts…”
She reached behind herself, trembling as she applied medicine. Her pearly teeth bit down on her lower lip, nearly breaking the skin until blood seeped out.
The instant the powder touched the wound, a dark, unseen shimmer merged with the white medicine and sank into her flesh.
“Mm? Does this medicine really work so well…” Xin Ling blinked open her half-closed eyes in surprise, staring in the mirror at her healing wound.
Perhaps it was just her imagination, but the pain eased, and the redness seemed to fade slightly.
After bandaging herself, she changed clothes, ready to head out. Her gaze drifted by chance to the floor beneath the mirror—where she spotted a streak of black.
Bending down, she picked it up.
It was a black feather.
“How strange… when did a crow fly into my room…” she murmured in confusion, placing the feather on the desk.
Then, bag in hand, she stepped out the door.
It was past one in the morning. Only the 24-hour convenience stores were open on the street.
Xin Ling parked, then dashed inside through the drizzle.
The shop was quiet, with only a cashier and one or two night owls browsing the aisles.
Her sudden arrival drew their eyes.
Rubbing her chilled arms against the cold draft, Xin Ling ignored their stares and grabbed a basket, plunging straight into the snack section.
This one looks tasty!
And this—let’s sneak a little!
Oh, and this too…
She thought, once she smuggled her own stash of snacks into her room, she could then deliver Ouyang Shaojing and Tang Yue’s things separately.
The condoms were by the counter. Only after she finished picking all the snacks did Xin Ling reluctantly head over, eyes squeezed shut as she grabbed a random box.

Note:
The original male lead is not truly the male lead. The storyline is not physically or emotionally abusive. Missions can be completed however you wish, and failure carries no punishment. The villains will be dealt with later; they will never walk away unscathed.
There is no “abuse of the heroine” here.
Xin Ling knows exactly what she’s doing—she only positions herself as a worker. She only pretends to like the supposed male lead. And then, she is forcefully seized by a certain villain who loves her beyond reason.
That’s all. If you like it, keep reading. If not, you can drop it anytime—but no scolding me!
