Chapter 6: She’s Seducing Me
The Huanyu Building stood 32 stories tall, towering into the sky like a skyscraper, housing the Huanyu Group, which was under the ownership of the Cheng family.
Currently, Cheng Guanjie had semi-retired, and all company matters were managed by Cheng Wanting, with the CEO’s office located on the 32nd floor, at the very top.
Lin Keying, carrying a bag of cheap sugar water and snacks, was stopped by security. She was about to try to explain herself when the elevator doors opened, and Secretary Yang hurried over to escort her up.
The staff in the 1980s Hong Kong City were as elegant as the urban beauties from the TV dramas. As Lin Keying followed Secretary Yang to the 32nd floor, she passed by men and women diligently working around her, all in suits, exuding a professional demeanor.
“Miss Lin, the Young Master is in his office,” Secretary Yang said with a raised eyebrow, feeling that it was rather shocking for the Young Master to have Miss Lin bring him food.
Is this really appropriate? Your relationship is…
But before she could finish her thoughts, the door closed, completely cutting off her view of the scene.
Secretary Yang: “…”

The office of her fiancé was spacious and grand, about 60 to 70 square meters. The floor was covered in black carpet, and black leather sofas with redwood coffee tables were arranged neatly. The room was spotless, almost cold in its perfection. At the redwood desk sat a man, focused on a stack of documents.
Lin Keying placed the cheap street snacks on the coffee table, which seemed out of place in the luxurious office. When her fiancé looked up, she flashed a carefully prepared smile and said, “Young Master, why don’t you try this sugar water and snacks?”
Lin Keying still didn’t know much about her fiancé’s background, mainly because of the language barrier, but also because she didn’t dare ask too many questions in his mansion, fearing her suspicious identity might be exposed.
But calling him “Young Master” every time made her feel like a feudal servant.
So troublesome.
Cheng Wanting stood up and walked toward the sofa. Dressed in a white shirt paired with a gray striped vest, he rolled up his sleeves, revealing a firm forearm. His long legs were enveloped in gray suit pants that seemed to go on forever.
Lin Keying’s eyelids twitched. She couldn’t help but admire her fiancé’s handsome looks and great physique. If she didn’t know that he loathed child brides and was willing to pay a million to break off the engagement, she might have tried to flirt with him.
But forget it, money was more practical.
Her mind was a bit chaotic as her beautiful apricot-shaped eyes, clear as glass, seemed to gleam with some kind of reflection, like sunlight filtering through a window.
Cheng Wanting glanced at her for a moment, then remembered the sight of the floral dress at the Far East Stock Exchange. As he sat down, he asked, “Do you understand stocks?”
Lin Keying, who was planning to reveal the dessert to show her affection, was taken aback by the sudden question about stocks. She was about to deny it when she quickly realized he must have seen or heard something, or he wouldn’t have asked.
“I heard that the stock market in Hong Kong is doing well, so I went to see the excitement,” Lin Keying answered cautiously.
Cheng Wanting tasted a spoonful of mung bean soup, his eyes scanning the bowl and noticing the words “He Ji” on it. Just as he was about to speak, he saw the woman across from him pushing a paper cup filled with fish balls that emitted a strange, strong odor toward him.
Lin Keying, having the rare opportunity to be alone with her fiancé, decided to seize the moment. After all, the last time she treated him to mung bean soup and mugwort rice cakes, it resulted in a 200,000 increase!
Lin Keying picked up a curry fish ball with chopsticks and held it near his mouth, feigning concern. “I heard from Secretary Yang that you’ve been busy with work and don’t have much appetite. You should eat more.”
Her affection and concern for her fiancé as his child bride were wrapped up in the small gesture of feeding him this fish ball.
According to the plot, the man would surely be extremely annoyed by this and would want to quickly send her away.
Cheng Wanting’s expression remained hard, especially his sharp jawline, and when the fish ball was fed to him, his hand gripping the spoon tightened.
A faint, delicate fragrance seemed to surround him, and from the corner of his eye, he saw the woman’s hand raised to feed him, revealing a glimpse of her fair waist and her sleeve tightening, exposing her smooth white wrist.
He slightly tilted his head, and his deep eyes met the woman’s clear, almond-shaped eyes. In those bright eyes, he only saw his own reflection, shimmering with a shallow smile.
At that moment, he was certain—his cousin’s child bride was seducing him.
Cheng Wanting, always direct and to the point, coldly responded, “Miss Lin, please respect yourself.”
Lin Keying was surprised that her fiancé didn’t react as impatiently as expected, but instead, he coldly reminded her.
She paused for a moment, feigning a shy look and replied, “I was just worried because you didn’t eat anything.”
Cheng Wanting had seen and heard many subtle or direct confessions, and his face remained expressionless as he coldly rejected her, “This is not something you should concern yourself with.”
“I know, I’m not worthy…” Lin Keying mentally praised her acting skills while continuing to express her feelings, “But even if it’s impossible, my feelings won’t change.”
Cheng Wanting’s gaze remained cold, and he dismissed her as someone willing to do anything to stay in Hong Kong, “You don’t let your engagement get in the way.”
She was clearly Chen Songxian’s child bride, yet she had no qualms about trying to seduce her cousin.
Lin Keying didn’t dare to bring up the engagement or the wealthy family from years ago. She had no memory of the original owner and feared that mentioning too much might expose her false identity.
She could only vaguely and firmly say, “Even if the engagement is broken, my feelings won’t change.”
After all, in the original story, the original owner continued to cling to the engagement even after her fiancé had firmly decided to break it off, which made him raise the compensation to get rid of her.
Cheng Wanting looked at the woman before him, and for a moment, he was stunned by her determination. He discreetly observed her.
Lin Keying, feeling the weight of her fiancé’s gaze and seeing that he wasn’t angry or impatient, was moved by an unclear emotion in her eyes. She decided to push a little further.
With one hand still holding the chopsticks, she carefully tugged at the side of his shirt near his waist, pulling it gently twice.
Cheng Wanting glanced down at the bold, slender fingers pulling at his shirt, and he noticed the soft pink tips of her fingers brushing against his waist muscles through the fabric.
In an instant, it vanished, as though it had never been there.
“Young Master, try it,” Lin Keying whispered, even preparing for him to swat away the chopsticks in anger and leave. “It’s really delicious.”
Just as she finished speaking, the door to the office suddenly burst open.
“Young Master, Young Master Chen suddenly came. He’s here to see you!”
Secretary Yang rushed in, looking flustered and rude for the first time. When she saw the “scandalous” scene in the office, she took a step back, awkwardly swallowing and shouting, “Young Master, please tone it down. The real fiancé is here! Is this… appropriate?!”
