Ruan Yuexi pushed Shang Yao away with all her strength and slapped him, but her lips were still invaded by him. Shang Yao’s breath was heavy as if he had tasted the taste he had endured for a long time.

Ruan Yuexi struggled in vain. He hugged her tighter and tighter. She was dazed by his kiss. She didn’t know how much time had passed before Shang Yao stopped.

Putting his head on Ruan Yuexi’s neck, the hot breath struck Ruan Yuexi’s ear.

Ruan Yuexi slowly opened her bewildered eyes, unsure of what Shang Yao meant. She wasn’t the female lead, just a cannon fodder supporting character. Had he chosen the wrong person?

Shang Yao quietly held Ruan Yuexi without making any other movements. Ruan Yuexi stiffened, expecting more, but seeing that he only held her, she breathed a sigh of relief.

She cautiously lowered her head to steal a glance at Shang Yao and found that he seemed to have fallen asleep while holding her. She wanted to break free but was afraid of waking him up.

Unable to think of another way, Ruan Yuexi could only let him hold her tightly. Exhausted from the day, she drifted off to sleep in a daze.

Shang Yao seemed to have not slept so soundly in a long time. Normally, he would hover between being half awake and half asleep, burdened by a heavy heart.

He slowly opened his eyes. Ruan Yuexi’s smooth legs were draped over his chest, and the owner of those legs kept smacking her lips.

Shang Yao: “…”

After moving her legs aside, Ruan Yuexi’s hand wrapped around him again, embracing his neck tightly as she slept deeply.

Her breathing brushed against Shang Yao’s face. He looked troubled but didn’t move to wake Ruan Yuexi up. Strangely, Shang Yao felt sleepy at this moment. Maintaining this position, he fell into a deep sleep once again.

When Ruan Yuexi woke up, she was alone in the bed. She rubbed her sleepy face, seriously doubting whether last night’s events had been a nightmare.

Regardless of whether it was a dream or not, she needed to quickly increase her abuse value. After coming downstairs, she didn’t see Shang Yao anywhere.

“Where’s Brother Yao?” Ruan Yuexi asked Xiao Fang, almost forgetting that Uncle Li hadn’t returned from his leave yet.

“Madam, Master seems to be in a good mood today.” His demeanor seemed less cold.

Ruan Yuexi didn’t react much. “That’s good.” With Uncle Li still not back, increasing her abuse value was proving difficult. Seeing Xiao Fang’s excitement, Ruan Yuexi felt it was best not to act pitifully in front of her for now.

Well, she could only wait until Uncle Li returned. Now more than 70 points are within reach.

What she never expected was that at night when she was sleeping, the perverted male lead actually entered her room again and closed the door.

“What are you going to do now?” Ruan Yuexi was so annoyed with him, wondering when this would ever end.

Shang Yao remained silent. He lay on the bed beside her and pulled her hand with just enough force. Ruan Yuexi fell into his arms in an instant.

After another futile struggle, Ruan Yuexi was forced to smell the fragrance on his body. She fell asleep again while being angry.

When she woke up in the morning, Shang Yao was still not by her side. Ruan Yuexi checked her clothes. He did not touch her. He probably used her as a pillow to sleep.

At Shang’s company

Secretary Fang looked at the information on her phone. Her salary had been credited, and she stared at the numbers for a few seconds.

She immediately dialed a number. “Hello, I think there’s been a mistake with my salary. It seems like too much.”

The voice of the staff from the finance department came through the phone. “I checked for you. Your salary is correct. The extra amount is the hospital’s reimbursement.”

Hospital reimbursement? Secretary Fang remembered that she hadn’t claimed reimbursement for the expenses she had incurred helping the old lady last time. She had even thrown the receipts in the trash.

“I didn’t claim any hospital expenses.”

“The president instructed it,” said the finance officer.

Secretary Fang was even more stunned. “Thank you,” she said before hanging up. 

Shang Yao was in his office.

She opened the door and handed him the folders she had prepared. “President, do you know about the hospital reimbursement?”

Secretary Fang hesitated for a moment before asking.

Shang Yao’s hand movements didn’t pause. “Yes.”

Secretary Fang, seeing that the president had been in a much better mood these days, started to reconsider her cold impression of him. She had a feeling it had something to do with Madam.

At the villa

Ruan Yuexi changed into a dress. Today was Ning Chen’s birthday, and he had just called asking her to join the celebration.
