Escape
Ruan Yuexi hit and pinched Shang Yao, but she found that she couldn’t push him away. It was as if Shang Yao wanted to meld her into his bones, not letting her go for a moment.
Just when Ruan Yuexi thought he was going to consume her completely, Shang Yao suddenly let her go.
She saw him steadying his heavy breathing. Ruan Yuexi, still dazed, quickly hid under the blanket, tightly wrapping herself.
She had to leave Shang Yao. His behavior towards her had become too abnormal, constantly kissing her at every opportunity.
Her hands trembled slightly. She didn’t want to be treated by Shang Yao in his perverted way.
Within the next few days, she had to finish writing the divorce agreement and disappear. Her heart was pounding non-stop, uncertain if it was out of fear or something else.
Shang Yao seemed to have calmed down. Ruan Yuexi thought he wouldn’t touch her again, but as soon as he extended his arm, he pulled her close, insisting on holding her as he slept, just like usual.
Ruan Yuexi knew she couldn’t break free, so she didn’t bother struggling. She decided to endure it for a few more days until she could be free.
Shang Yao’s breath brushed against her cheek. Despite everything, it didn’t prevent Ruan Yuexi from sleeping soundly. In her sleep, she unknowingly placed her leg over Shang Yao’s.
With her hand lay across his chest, and her whole body leaned against his side. Shang Yao’s cold eyes quietly watched her cling to him.
Even as she dreamt, Shang Yao didn’t push her away. With a soft sigh, he let Ruan Yuexi’s limbs rest on him.
When Ruan Yuexi woke up, she was shocked to find herself being held by Shang Yao. She pushed him away with a “pop,” startling Shang Yao awake. He looked at her coldly.
“Good… good morning,” Ruan Yuexi said awkwardly as she got out of bed, greeting Shang Yao. She couldn’t afford to anger him now; she had to escape quietly.
“Why are you avoiding me?” Shang Yao’s cold eyes seemed to see right through her.
Ruan Yuexi was stunned by his question. “I just need to go to the bathroom and then have breakfast. I’m a bit hungry.”
Shang Yao seemed skeptical but didn’t press further, his gaze was still fixed on her.
Ruan Yuexi quickly averted her eyes, got up, put on her shoes, and slipped into the bathroom.
When she finished washing up, Shang Yao was no longer in the room. She breathed a sigh of relief and ran to the jewelry cabinet. Opening it, she saw it was filled with gold and silver jewelry.
She couldn’t use her card because using it would be equivalent to exposing her whereabouts. She could only pawn these gold and silver jewelry to ensure her safety. These gold and silver jewelry would be enough for her to use for a long time.
After planning everything, Ruan Yuexi decided to go somewhere with a mild climate, where she could stay comfortably alone, far away from these perverts and maniacs.
When Shang Yao left, Ruan Yuexi planned to find a place to hide. Just thinking about escaping Shang Yao and Ye Yishen made her heart race with excitement and anticipation.
She never thought she would have such a day. Ruan Yuexi was eager but worried about dealing with Shang Yao. She couldn’t negotiate with him. What if he kissed her again like last night? She would be at a great loss.
Ruan Yuexi was terrified of Shang Yao. If this pervert developed feelings for her, she knew she wouldn’t be able to escape.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she reminded herself that she would soon be free and everything would be resolved.
Downstairs, Shang Yao was eating breakfast. Ruan Yuexi felt uneasy but knew she had to go through with her plan.
Approaching the table, Ruan Yuexi put on an expression of despair, readying herself for her eventual escape.
Sitting down, she avoided looking at Shang Yao. Tears welled in her eyes, evoking sympathy from anyone who saw her.
Xiao Fang noticed and thought the madam must have been wronged again. Why didn’t the master comfort her?
Shang Yao continued eating elegantly, paying no attention to Ruan Yuexi’s expression.
Throughout breakfast, Ruan Yuexi remained silent, exuding a melancholic aura.
Xiao Fang watched anxiously, but the atmosphere remained tense.
After finishing his meal, Shang Yao got up and left for work. Ruan Yuexi’s behavior towards him was markedly different from before.
Shang Yao didn’t seem to mind, possibly accustomed to Ruan Yuexi’s erratic thoughts and imagination.
However, Xiao Fang was deeply concerned. She had never seen her mistress this emotional, especially towards the master.
Ruan Yuexi’s act of despair was successful. With Shang Yao gone, she could now put her plan into action.
After breakfast, she began searching on her phone for a secluded place to move to. After hours of searching, she found a scenic, remote location.
She had to ensure Shang Yao couldn’t find her, just in case he decided to look for her.
Planning to rent a place there, she would see it for herself to ensure its safety.
Next, she would visit a lawyer to discuss the divorce agreement.
“Madam, are you okay?” Xiao Fang asked, worried by Ruan Yuexi’s changing expressions.
Pulled from her thoughts, Ruan Yuexi smiled weakly, “I’m fine. Don’t worry.”
But no matter how Xiao Fang looked at it, she felt that Ruan Yuexi was just forcing herself to smile.
Master must have done something to hurt madam again, otherwise, she would not have reacted like this.
“Madam, if you’re upset, you can let it out,” Xiao Fang suggested, worried that Ruan Yuexi might be bottling up her emotions.
Ruan Yuexi shook her head, still smiling. “Thank you, Xiao Fang, but I’m really okay.”
Xiao Fang relented. Ruan Yuexi went upstairs to change and came back down, facing Xiao Fang’s questioning look.
“I’m going out for a walk to clear my head,” Ruan Yuexi said, forcing a smile.
Xiao Fang hesitated, “Should I ask Uncle Chen to accompany you?”
Ruan Yuexi refused, “No need, I just want some fresh air. I won’t do anything foolish.”
Embarrassed that her concern had been so transparent, Xiao Fang watched Ruan Yuexi leave.
Ruan Yuexi patted Xiao Fang’s shoulder, appreciating her worry, thinking she deserved a raise.
She headed to a small law firm and found a lawyer.
“How do I draft a divorce agreement?” Ruan Yuexi asked urgently.
The lawyer, momentarily stunned by her beauty, quickly apologized.
Ruan Yuexi didn’t mind. She knew her appearance was striking. After briefly explaining her situation, the lawyer looked concerned.
“In this case, initiating a divorce is disadvantageous for you,” the lawyer explained, noting that the husband hadn’t committed any major faults.
“I just want to get my belongings back,” Ruan Yuexi insisted. To her, life was more important than money. Without life, no amount of money mattered.
