Far away in Lanting City, Ruan Yuexi turned off the TV and lay in bed, thinking about what to do the next day.

She didn’t know Shang Yao reported her missing two days later.

Ruan Yuexi received a call from the police, thinking she was in trouble.

The assistant ignored her and followed Lu Yiliang into the office.

Tang Qingqing was devastated. She regretted her actions towards Shang Yao. In her despair, she overheard a conversation in a nearby break room.

“Have you heard?”

“What? Is there new gossip at the company?”

“This is big news about Mr. Lu.”

“Tell me, I’m listening.”

“Mr. Lu is looking for a woman. They say she’s very beautiful, and he’s gone to great lengths to find her.”

“C’mon! I thought it was something serious. This has been going on for half a year. Are you living in the Stone Age?” one employee mocked.
