Accident?
Ruan Yuexi was in so much pain she couldn’t speak. Maybe this was a necessary plot development. She really shouldn’t have gotten close to the female lead. If she hadn’t pushed the female lead, she wouldn’t have fallen down herself.
Even more unexpectedly, she ended up pulling down Lu Yiliang with her.
Shang Yao frowned and walked down the beach. Tang Qingqing seemed to have found her backbone. “Brother Shang Yao, I’m so scared. I’m afraid something will happen to Brother Yiliang.”
Tang Qingqing poured cried to Shang Yao. Although her crying wasn’t loud, it was still irritating to Ruan Yuexi, who was already numb with pain, but she wasn’t foolish enough to say anything.
The male lead, second male lead, fourth male lead, and fifth male lead were all here. They were all in the female lead’s harem. If she, a malicious cannon fodder supporting female character, said one more word, the consequences would be terrifying.
Ning Chen heard her cry and felt annoyed, but since Lu Yiliang liked her, he didn’t say anything.
Shang Yao didn’t comfort Tang Qingqing but instead checked Lu Yiliang’s legs. “Hold him down.” His cold voice made Ning Chen and Feng Yi immediately pin Lu Yiliang down.
Ning Chen and Feng Yi looked at each other and pressed Lu Yiliang down at the same time. With a slight cracking sound, Lu Yiliang’s dislocated ankle was instantly reset.
Lu Yiliang sucked in a breath of cold air due to the pain. After the bones in his foot were reset, it didn’t hurt anymore. His wrist was also dislocated, which Shang Yao seemed to notice and reset as well.
“I feel much better now. It doesn’t hurt much anymore.” Lu Yiliang seemed much more relaxed.
Ning Chen and Feng Yi were shocked and looked at each other again. They hadn’t expected Shang Yao to be knowledgeable in medicine.
“Brother Yao, please check on Ruan Yuexi quickly. It seems her hand is dislocated too.” Ning Chen hurriedly asked Shang Yao to check on Ruan Yuexi.
Ruan Yuexi gritted her teeth, her mind hazy with pain. She wasn’t quite clear about what was happening around her, but when Shang Yao appeared before her, she couldn’t help but be a little stunned.
Shang Yao’s usual icy gaze remained unchanged as he squatted down. Ruan Yuexi forced herself not to retreat, mainly because his presence had such a negative impact on her.
Perhaps sensing her avoidance in that moment, Shang Yao hesitated slightly in his actions, then forcibly took her hand in his.
When the fair and delicate hand touched his skin, an electrifying sensation spread through Shang Yao’s senses once again. He frowned slightly and stared at Ruan Yuexi.
Ruan Yuexi, meeting his gaze mixed with a hint of something strange, managed to stutter, “What… ah!” Before she could finish her question, Shang Yao had already reset her wrist. Despite the immense pain, it miraculously didn’t hurt at all afterwards—strangely magical.
“It doesn’t hurt anymore…” Shocked, she looked up at Shang Yao. She wondered what he was up to.
“Your wrist was dislocated,” Lu Yiliang’s gentle voice sounded by Ruan Yuexi’s ear.
Ruan Yuexi glanced at Shang Yao for two seconds before turning to Lu Yiliang. “Are you okay then?” She noticed his injuries weren’t light.
“I’m fine now.” Lu Yiliang smiled at Ruan Yuexi for the first time.
Ruan Yuexi didn’t think much of it. “Alright.” She figured they’d find out the severity of his injuries once they got to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Tang Qingqing, seeing Lu Yiliang smile at Ruan Yuexi, bit her lip, clearly feeling uneasy.
Shang Yao cast a cold glance at Ruan Yuexi. “What are you doing down on the beach?” He always assumed Ruan Yuexi was up to no good.
Ruan Yuexi didn’t feel any gratitude towards him at that moment; it all just vanished.
Alright, so he had come to deliver her some green tea in person, but it didn’t matter what he thought of her. Once her abuse points hit one hundred, she would leave.
While Tang Qingqing dodged her gaze, she clearly had no intention of apologizing to her.
Ruan Yuexi had known since she fell down the stairs that this female protagonist wasn’t as innocent and perfect as she appeared in the novel.
“Brother Yao…” Ruan Yuexi’s pale face shook slightly as she shook her head, as if she couldn’t believe that he had misunderstood her. This is a sad story worth reading, the abuse value, ah, the abuse value, comes quickly into her arms.
“Shang Yao, don’t blame her. This isn’t Miss Ruan’s fault.” Lu Yiliang furrowed his brows slightly and couldn’t help but speak up for Ruan Yuexi.
“Yeah, Brother Yao, this was an accident. Ruan Yuexi is also a victim. How can you blame her?” Ning Chen followed suit, defending Ruan Yuexi. What was wrong with Shang Yao? Ruan Yuexi was injured too; there was no need to be so harsh.
Shang Yao remained indifferent, his jade-like face unmoved as he glanced at Ruan Yuexi before shifting his gaze away.
Ruan Yuexi didn’t care about any of his coldness. If he hadn’t been cold, that would have been terrifying. Thinking of Shang Yao’s actions, Ruan Yuexi’s heart trembled. She would stay away from such people as far as possible after completing the mission.
This was the best time to increase the abuse value. When her abuse value reached one hundred, she could say goodbye to this group of protagonists.
“Whatever Brother Yao says is what it is. Why worry about being falsely accused?” Ruan Yuexi sadly lowered her head, seeming heartbroken to the point where she didn’t want to explain.
Shang Yao remained coldly on the sidelines, showing no intention of comforting her.
Feng Yi couldn’t stand by and quickly stepped in to mediate. After all, he couldn’t afford to offend Shang Yao either.
“I saw it happen. I can testify that it was an accident, Brother Yao. Ruan Yuexi is injured now. It’s better not to blame her.” Feng Yi advised.
Shang Yao remained unmoved, his cold gaze not lingering on Ruan Yuexi.
Ruan Yuexi silently praised the green tea system in her heart, seeing that the abuse value had risen to eleven! She almost cheered. She hadn’t expected to gain four points of abuse just by falling down like this. It wasn’t a loss at all.
Ning Chen began to sympathize with Ruan Yuexi in his heart. Was this what prejudice looked like?
Tang Qingqing looked at several people and was about to say something when someone brought a stretcher down. They were going to lift Ruan Yuexi and Lu Yiliang onto it, so she could only hold back her words.
With Ning Chen’s help, Ruan Yuexi was lifted into the ambulance. She saw Feng Yi and remembered something. “Feng Yi, I kicked your butt. Do you want to go to the hospital for an examination?”
Ning Chen quickly ran behind him to see. “Really? Should I take a look for you?”
Feng Yi pushed Ning Chen away like a fly, his face turned red. “Don’t talk nonsense.” His image had been completely ruined by Ruan Yuexi!
Ruan Yuexi shrugged, thinking she didn’t say anything, but who knew he would suddenly rush out.
Tang Qingqing waited next to Lu Yiliang, watching Ruan Yuexi gradually get along with Ning Chen and Feng Yi, and a hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
Lu Yiliang closed his eyes, but the image of that breathtaking moment flashed in his mind, astonishing and celestial…
Shang Yao didn’t accompany Ruan Yuexi to the hospital but ordered his secretary to do so. As for where he went, Ruan Yuexi didn’t know nor did she care because today’s abuse value harvest was pretty good.
Moreover, she could take the opportunity to be a green tea with the male lead secretary when she went to the hospital. How could she miss such a good opportunity? Hee-hee-hee… Ruan Yuexi smirked inwardly, only the abuse value and good food were not to be wasted
