The Green Tea Supporting Character Disgusts The Male Lead Chapter 9

Kindness

Just as Lu Yiliang was about to say something, two figures appeared at the door of the hospital room. Ruan Yuexi looked up in confusion—it was Tang Qingqing and Shang Yao, one behind the other, which seemed unusual.

Shang Yao stood behind Tang Qingqing, and Tang Qingqing’s face was slightly red and nervous.

“Brother Yao…” Ruan Yuexi pitifully called out, wanting to ask him why he had come like this. She almost raised her abuse points. The timing couldn’t be worse.

Shang Yao glanced briefly at Ruan Yuexi, then turned to Lu Yiliang, asking about his condition. Lu Yiliang tactfully shifted his gaze away from Tang Qingqing.

“It’s been checked, nothing serious.”

So the four of them froze like that. Ruan Yuexi didn’t know what to say, mainly because she didn’t want to say anything else. Whether Shang Yao paid attention to her or not didn’t matter to her at all.

“Let’s sit down and talk.” Lu Yiliang’s gentle voice broke the tense atmosphere.

Ruan Yuexi couldn’t help but feel that Lu Yiliang was better than Shang Yao. Besides being a cold and domineering CEO, what normal person would do the things Shang Yao did? Where was the goodness in Shang Yao?

At least Lu Yiliang was gentle and easy to talk to. As for Shang Yao… well, it’s complicated.

Shang Yao didn’t refuse and sat directly opposite Ruan Yuexi as if Ruan Yuexi was poisonous, while Tang Qingqing also sat next to Shang Yao with a red face.

Lu Yiliang pretended not to notice Tang Qingqing’s little movements. Ruan Yuexi didn’t care at all and just watched the show.

She didn’t dare to play the pitiful act in front of Shang Yao’s face. Pity was okay, but she couldn’t say what she had said in the ambulance in front of Shang Yao. Otherwise, she might not live to see the end of the year.

At that moment, a nurse came in to change Lu Yiliang’s IV drip and noticed that the atmosphere was not quite right, so she moved more lightly.

“Brother Shang Yao, I need to apologize for this matter. I accidentally pulled Miss Ruan down the stairs. It was my carelessness,” Tang Qingqing bit her pale lip.

Lu Yiliang remained silent with pursed lips, and Shang Yao’s cold eyes slightly lifted, pretending not to hear. It seemed he didn’t care about the truth at all.

Tang Qingqing pitifully called out again, “Brother Shang Yao…”

Ruan Yuexi rolled her eyes to the sky. Her expression gradually turned sad. “Brother Yao is truly kind, even kinder than the farmer in ‘The Farmer and the Viper’. How could there be such a kind person in the world?”

Tang Qingqing’s pitiful face suddenly froze.

Shang Yao’s icy gaze instantly turned towards Ruan Yuexi, but Ruan Yuexi seemed completely unaware, feeling sincere in her praise.

“Brother Yao, have you eaten? You need to drink tonic soup at night. You have lost weight in recent days. A man can’t be weak.” She looked at Shang Yao with distress and worry.

The nurse couldn’t help but burst out laughing, but when her eyes turned over, she quickly regained her seriousness.

Lu Yiliang seemed to be unable to hold back his laughter, and Tang Qingqing’s expression gradually became ugly.

Shang Yao: “…Can you shut up?” His tone was cold.

Ruan Yuexi grinned at him, “Brother Yao, don’t worry. I will still love you even if you can’t do it. I will take care of your grave in this life.” Her smile was so sweet.

“Don’t worry, Brother Yao. Even if you’re not okay, I’ll still love you. I’ll take care of your grave for the rest of my life.” She smiled sweetly.

Shang Yao: “…”

“Oh, Brother Yao, why are your eyes red again? Am I moving you once more? You’re so sensitive, easily moved to tears.” Ruan Yuexi teased.

“Ruan Yuexi!!”

The nurse couldn’t hold back a chuckle and quickly resumed a serious expression when their eyes turned towards her.

Lu Yiliang’s lips curled up more and more, his eyes full of amusement. It was rare to see him at a loss.

Tang Qingqing’s face darkened like the bottom of a pot, and she clenched her hands tightly, seeming not to feel any pain.

“Brother Yao, wait for me! Your legs are as long as an octopus’s, slow down a bit!” Ruan Yuexi lazily “chased” after Shang Yao, who was walking quickly ahead.

Shang Yao was probably irritated by Ruan Yuexi’s so-called flattery and stormed back into the hospital room.

Ruan Yuexi plopped down next to Shang Yao. Shang Yao immediately stood up, and Ruan Yuexi stood up as well, leaning her head towards him with a grin.

“Can you stay away from me?” Shang Yao’s tone was somewhat gritted.

Secretary Fang stood there like a robot, expressionless.

Ruan Yuexi shook her head. “Nope. The closer I get, the more I can smell Brother Yao’s unique scent. Brother Yao’s body odor is different from anyone else’s. Of course, I don’t mind it.” She grinned again.

Shang Yao: “…”

“Hey, Brother Yao, why are your jade eyes getting colder? Are you about to get angry?”

“Is Brother Yao angry? Your face looks really ugly. Are you going to scold Xi’er? It’s okay, fighting is a sign of affection. Brother Yao, you old turtle!” Ruan Yuexi playfully punched Shang Yao’s chest, not holding back at all, though he really had a tough chest.

“This is also Xi’er’s way of loving Brother Yao. Love you!” Ruan Yuexi tilted her head and smiled innocently.

Fang Mu: “…”

Madam, could you please say a little less? I’m sweating for her.

Shang Yao’s icy gaze locked onto Ruan Yuexi, who showed no signs of fear, only a shy expression on her face.

“Brother Yao, have you been staring at me for so long because you’ve found me particularly cute and fallen in love with me?” Ruan Yuexi looked up at him, gazing at him affectionately.

After a few seconds, “Brother Yao… Your nose hair is getting long. Do you need to trim it? Should I pluck it for you?”

Shang Yao: “…”

“Ruan Yuexi! If you don’t speak, no one will think you’re mute!”

Secretary Fang couldn’t help but cover her expressionless face. Madam, could you please refrain from speaking if there’s nothing urgent?
