Chapter 4: He Actually Came to My House
As soon as the party ended that day, Jin Yue quickly slipped out of the house while the man wasn’t paying attention. For the past few days, she had been hiding at home, not going out.
A week passed, and everything seemed calm, as if the man had likely not taken what she said seriously. She figured she should just go on with her life.
Jin Yue was lying on the bed, playing a game, her little feet up in the air, looking relaxed.
“Miss, the master wants you to come downstairs,” a maid’s voice came from outside the door.
“Got it, got it. I’ll be down in a minute.”
Seeing the health bar of the little character on her screen empty, Jin Yue tossed her phone onto the bed in frustration, changed clothes, and went downstairs.
When she arrived in the living room and saw the man sitting across from her father, she almost turned around to run, but her father called her over.
“Yue Yue, Mr. Qi told me you two are dating. Is that true?”
No way? The man is serious.
“Dad, it’s all a misunderstanding. Mr. Qi and I didn’t know each other before, how could we be dating?”
“Uncle Jin, Yue Yue was actually upset with me this week because I had to go on a business trip. At the party, Yue Yue personally said…”
Afraid that Qi Beiyue would say more, Jin Yue hurried over to Qi Beiyue’s side and said, “Dad, I’ll explain later,” before grabbing his hand and running out.
Qi Beiyue smiled as he felt the warmth of her hand in his. He followed her out, led her to his car, and drove off.
“Hey, where are you taking me?”
Jin Yue was stunned for a moment and had already been dragged into the car.
“Going to eat.”
“I’m not hungry. Actually, I just pulled you out to talk about us.”
“Come eat with me.”
“I’m not going! Stop the car!”
“I’m hungry. If you want to talk, come with me.”
Jin Yue stopped talking, puffing her cheeks, looking like a pouting hamster.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Jin Yue didn’t wait for Qi Beiyue and got out of the car on her own.
But after a moment, a pair of large hands reached out, grabbing her waist and pulling her toward the restaurant.
A few minutes later, Jin Yue looked around the luxurious private room. Once the server left, she turned to Qi Beiyue and said, “Qi Beiyue, why did you go to my house and say all that to my dad?”
“Wasn’t what I said the truth?” Qi Beiyue replied slowly.
Looking at the sulking Jin Yue, Qi Beiyue found her even more adorable, and he really wanted to pinch her cheek. The feeling would surely be amazing.
Thinking about it, he couldn’t resist and reached over to do just that.
“Ah, what are you doing? Didn’t I tell you last time that we’re not official? You promised, didn’t you!”
Jin Yue slapped his hand away, furious. This man, how could he be acting like this? He’s supposed to be mature and steady, but to her, he’s just a thug!
Qi Beiyue didn’t get angry. He smiled and said, “Yue Yue, I never promised you anything. At the party, I was the one who told you to keep quiet.”
“Then this past week, you didn’t contact me. Wasn’t that your silent agreement?”
“This week, I was sent out on a business trip by my old man. I called you, but you didn’t answer.”
Remembering how she had hung up on his calls, thinking they were scam calls, Jin Yue suddenly felt guilty.
But then she remembered, they were unfamiliar numbers to her anyway, so why couldn’t she hang up?
So Jin Yue straightened up and said, “Fine. Can I officially break up with you now? Let’s go our separate ways.”
Hearing this, Qi Beiyue’s face, which had been smiling, froze. He looked at Jin Yue’s face, which seemed so sweet and innocent, yet those words came out of her mouth, and he couldn’t understand how this could be the same girl.
He gently rubbed her lips with his fingers, his gaze turning darker. “Yue Yue, why are you always so disobedient? You’d better forget about this idea from now on. You were the one who brought it up first, and I won’t let you just break up with me. You’re such a naughty girl, learning all the bad habits. If you make me angry again, I’ll really punish you next time.”
This was an outright threat! A blatant one! Was she really reading the same book as this man?
How could he act like a rogue with her, this evil female supporting character! What was happening? Would she be scared?
Hmph, staying away from him would be wise if she wanted to live. Being involved with him could mean asking for trouble. If she used her superpowers, 003 would have already taken care of him.
Jin Yue pushed him away and stepped back, huffing, “I don’t like you, so I want to break up!”
Qi Beiyue’s eyes turned cold, and a chill radiated from him. Jin Yue couldn’t help but shiver.
“Yue Yue, you’re really not being obedient.”
Qi Beiyue took a step forward, coming up right in front of Jin Yue, one hand gripping the back of her head, and leaned in to kiss her face.
Jin Yue quickly put her hands on her lips to block him, but Qi Beiyue chuckled, teasing her ear.
Her body tingled, and she tried to push him away, but he held both of her hands with his other hand.
“Ugh, you pervert, let go of me, you wolf! Let go!”
“Who am I to you?” Qi Beiyue whispered in her ear.
“Ugh, pervert, crazy, you’re nobody to me.”
“You’re wrong. You’ll be punished.” His teasing grew more intense, moving toward her neck.
Jin Yue stopped being defiant and, with a sob, said, “Ugh, boyfriend! Boyfriend! Don’t bite me anymore, please!”
“Next time, if you’re not obedient, I won’t let you off so easily.”
Finally, Qi Beiyue let go of her, took her hand, and they sat at the table to wait for the food.
“Pervert, tyrant,” Jin Yue mumbled under her breath.
When would 003 show up? Didn’t he say that type of man wasn’t interested in her? Why did they always end up tangled up when they met? It was so frustrating.
After dinner, and at Jin Yue’s strong insistence, Qi Beiyue finally dropped her off at home.
Jin Yue glared at the car disappearing into the distance, staring at her phone screen, almost crying in frustration.
Her hands moved quickly, and in a few seconds, she had changed the “Kiss my boyfriend” contact name to “Shameless Tyrant.” A smile finally appeared on her face.
