Who Do You Like?
Su Ran watched helplessly as his livestream room exploded into chaos, not knowing how to explain himself. The public chat was flooded with messages from Qin Yue and Pei Zhiyang, constantly asking questions.
“Baby, who is that man? Why are you with him?”
“Baby, where are you? We’ll come find you!”
Su Ran felt numb as he read the messages. He was utterly unprepared; who could have expected Fu Linxuan to show up in his stream without any warning? At this moment, he didn’t know how to explain to his fans. If he said Fu Linxuan was the top-ranked Big Brother, that would lead to too much speculation. He didn’t want to admit that Fu Linxuan was his lover, as he didn’t acknowledge that sort of relationship between them. Plus, Qin Yue and Pei Zhiyang were also in the chat—if he didn’t handle this well, it could lead to more trouble.
As he saw the swiftly scrolling comment section, Su Ran felt an urgent panic and glanced at Fu Linxuan, who had stepped away from the camera but was still watching him. Biting his lower lip, Su Ran faced the camera and said, “Sorry everyone, I’m going to end today’s stream here. See you tomorrow.” He hurriedly ended the broadcast, leaving Fu Linxuan in a moment of stunned silence before approaching him, “Ran Ran, why did you end the stream so quickly?”
Su Ran looked at him, slightly angry, “Why did you appear in my livestream?”
Fu Linxuan paused, then said, “Ran Ran, didn’t you ever think of making us official?”
Hearing this, Su Ran grew even angrier, “So you did that on purpose?”
Seeing Su Ran’s angry face, Fu Linxuan quickly tried to explain, “I… I just wanted them to see me, to know you have a boyfriend now, to keep those guys from hitting on you.”
“But I have a lot of female fans in my stream. You’re really messing with my career.” Su Ran turned his head away, “You just don’t want me to stream properly.”
Hearing this, Fu Linxuan panicked for a moment. He crouched down beside Su Ran, grasping his arm, “Ran Ran, I didn’t mean that, I’m just… I’m just too scared of losing you. This is my first relationship, and I’ve never felt so insecure before.”
Fu Linxuan’s face, usually harsh and imposing, now seemed tentative and careful. Su Ran remained silent, and Fu Linxuan continued, “Ran Ran baby, I was wrong. I won’t make decisions on my own anymore. Can you forgive me?”
As Fu Linxuan finished speaking, the door suddenly opened. “Boss Fu, Ran Ran is trending, the headline—”
An employee burst in, holding his phone ready to read out the trending topic, only to stop abruptly at the scene before him. The typically formidable business shark was almost kneeling, displaying an extremely low posture to Su Ran, who sat in a chair.
The intruding employee, usually unphased by his boss’s fierce demeanor, suddenly felt a chill and quickly shut the door, “Sorry to disturb!”
Hearing Fu Linxuan’s sincere apology, Su Ran finally responded. He knew when to accept an apology; he was always cautious around Fu Linxuan, who, given his wealth and status, naturally intimidated others.
Su Ran turned towards him, his hand caressing Fu Linxuan’s cheek, “Then… I’ll forgive you this time, but don’t let it happen again.”
Fu Linxuan’s lips curled into a smile. He rubbed his cheek against Su Ran’s palm, making Su Ran think of a docile big dog—fierce looking but obedient.
Thinking this, Su Ran couldn’t help but laugh, causing Fu Linxuan to look at him, “Baby, what are you laughing at?”
Su Ran shared his thought, “It’s just like that, a big dog.”
Fu Linxuan’s expression froze for a moment, and in the next second, he barked playfully, “Woof,” immediately sending Su Ran into fits of giggles.
Fu Linxuan stood up, lifted Su Ran from his seat, and sat him on a solid wood table cleared of live streaming tools and snacks. He leaned in close, his tongue tracing from Su Ran’s neck to his cheek, “Let the big dog lick you, okay?”
Hearing this, Su Ran immediately crossed his legs, instinctively refusing, “No, don’t.”
Fu Linxuan followed his movements and said with a smirk, “Baby Ran, you’re thinking dirtier than me.”
Then, he began to unbutton Su Ran’s shirt, saying, “Let’s start from the top.”
Su Ran’s face flushed, his hands covering up, but in the next moment, Fu Linxuan kissed his lips, overwhelming him with affection until his body went limp with no strength to resist.
Eventually, Su Ran lay completely on the table, looking like a delicious delicacy, his pale skin in stark contrast to the deep brown of the table, creating a visually striking impact.
At that moment, Su Ran felt like he was melting, entirely at the mercy of Fu Linxuan arranging his body in various positions.
The two enjoyed their time together in the room, while on the other side, Qin Yue and Pei Zhiyang didn’t have such leisure. They felt like ants on a hot pan, a pervasive anxiety about Su Ran being snatched away spreading between them.
They left the university immediately, heading straight for Fu Qian’an’s house, their paths completely aligned.
Upon reaching Fu Qian’an’s front door, Pei Zhiyang knocked loudly. After waiting a moment with no response, Qin Yue circled around to the window of the room where Su Ran usually streamed. The window was open, and with one boost, he was up.
Pei Zhiyang also called out, “Fu Qian’an, open the door.”
Perhaps hearing it was Pei Zhiyang’s voice, the person inside shakily went to unlock the door.
Fu Qian’an had been hiding at home, waiting to see if Fu Linxuan would send someone to deal with him. Running was futile; he could be found anywhere, so he could only wait at home for his judgment.
But after a call from Fu Linxuan the previous day, no one had come over, presumably because Su Ran had already calmed him down, though he was still somewhat anxious.
Now hunched and with a slouching shoulder but still able to walk, Fu Qian’an opened the door, and Pei Zhiyang immediately entered. Tall and sturdy like a reckless sports student, he scanned the room, his gaze harsh, “Where’s Su Ran?”
Fu Qian’an stepped back, intimidated by his aggressive presence, with Qin Yue right behind him.
“I’m asking you where Su Ran is!” Pei Zhiyang’s voice was full of menace, as if he was ready to torture the truth out of him.
Fu Qian’an was genuinely frightened, taking another shaky step back as Qin Yue steadied him to avoid a fall, then pulled out his phone to show a screenshot from the livestream. The photo showed a man standing next to Su Ran, his upper body and part of his face visible, “Do you know this man? How did Su Ran end up with him?”
Seeing the photo, Fu Qian’an hesitated, then seemed on the verge of speaking…
That day, when Fu Linxuan and Su Ran left, he had sat there, sinking into despair all night. Reflecting on the look Su Ran had given him when he winked, he managed to break free from the thought of his boyfriend being fickle. He thought, perhaps Su Ran was just using a stalling tactic to save him.
The fact that no one came to clean him up was the best proof of that, and he was momentarily moved while also worried for Su Ran’s safety.
“You recognize him, don’t you? Look at your face, you definitely know him.” Pei Zhiyang insisted.
Fu Qian’an swallowed hard, biting his lip, deciding to tell them the whole story about how Su Ran met Fu Linxuan, since he was powerless to change anything now, and these two, being able to compete with Fu Linxuan for the top rank in Su Ran’s stream, evidently had the means to possibly rescue Su Ran.
The three sat at the table, listening to Fu Qian’an recount the story of how Su Ran and Fu Linxuan met.
As they listened, Qin Yue and Pei Zhiyang’s fists tightened. When the story was fully told, there was silence at the table, and Fu Qian’an, seeing their looks, broke out in cold sweat.
“So it was really you who pushed Su Ran out there?” Pei Zhiyang asked ominously.
“Su Ran went with that person to save you, didn’t he?” Qin Yue asked darkly.
Before Fu Qian’an could answer, the two stood up and punched him together, their eyes, unaccustomed to being hit, immediately turning purple.
Still unsatisfied, they beat him up together, leaving Fu Qian’an unable to get up from the floor after they left.
At this moment, Su Ran had just finished showering and was wearing pajamas prepared by Fu Linxuan. Fu Linxuan was sitting on the sofa, also in pajamas, matching with Su Ran’s in silky material, soft and luxurious.
Fu Linxuan looked up at him, “Ran Ran baby, what do you feel like watching? Pick a movie.”
Su Ran walked over to the sofa, where Fu Linxuan pulled him down to sit next to him, his arm naturally encircling Su Ran, “How about this one? It should be a comedy.”
Su Ran nodded, and Fu Linxuan started the movie. The sound filled the room, and they watched on a large, clear projection screen. The room was cool, with various fruits on the coffee table, and the two nestled comfortably on the soft sofa.
Fu Linxuan picked a grape and fed it to Su Ran, who opened his lips in time to take it. The juice that escaped was licked away by Fu Linxuan.
As they enjoyed the afternoon, an abrupt ringtone interrupted. Fu Linxuan checked his phone; it was a call from the old man, “Linyuan, why did you provoke that Qin boy? He even called me up, wanting to meet you.”
Fu Linxuan frowned, “The Qin boy? We’ve only met twice at banquets, and we hardly spoke.”
Su Ran choked on the juice at the mention of the Qin family; it couldn’t be Qin Yue, could it? He surely didn’t have the pull to reach out to old man Fu… or could he? From what he knew, Qin Yue came from a well-off family… But it must be another Qin…
Then the old man added, “By the way, have you brought Fu Qian’an back yet? He’s still Fu family blood, after all. Better to acknowledge his ancestry sooner.”
Fu Linxuan’s tone cooled, and he scoffed, “He? Don’t even think about letting him through the Fu family’s doors.”
“You brat, the family fortune will be yours eventually, just let him in; it won’t affect you!”
Fu Linxuan looked at Su Ran, then said, “The fortune is already mine, and if I don’t want him to enter, he won’t.”
With that, Fu Linxuan hung up, leaving Su Ran somewhat anxious. Wasn’t everything supposed to be resolved by now? Why was Fu Qian’an still being barred from the Fu household?
Wasn’t the normal plot supposed to be that after Fu Qian’an logged off, he would be gloriously taken back? Where did things go wrong?
Su Ran called out to the system, “If Fu Qian’an can’t return to the Fu family, doesn’t that completely break the plotline?”
“Lord Ran Ran, you don’t need to worry about anything right now. Just focus on completing your own storyline.” System 555 said.
Su Ran felt even stranger, although everything was still on track, it seemed off, and ever since this world started, System 555 had been unusually quiet.
“Are you saying that as long as I finish my part, the plot will pass, and whatever happens next doesn’t matter to me?” Su Ran asked.
“Exactly!” 555 confirmed, drawing on experiences from other worlds where honest people might face similar situations—completing their part perfectly despite the actual plot going off the rails, yet still receiving the best ratings and rewards.
“And according to my checks, this world’s plotline is about to end, maybe even today.” 555 said.
Su Ran was momentarily surprised, then realized it did make sense that it was ending; his task had been to get the male leads interested in the same sex, and the effect was now quite obvious—what used to be straight men seemed unable to straighten out anymore.
Fu Linxuan stroked Su Ran’s head, “What are you thinking?”
Su Ran looked at Fu Linxuan, blinked, and then asked, “Gege, are you really not letting Fu Qian’an return to the Fu family?”
Fu Linxuan nodded, saying, “He doesn’t deserve it.”
It seemed he was still holding a grudge, his words suggesting Fu Qian’an didn’t deserve to have had Su Ran either.
Hearing this, Su Ran looked troubled and tugged at Fu Linxuan’s clothes, “Gege, isn’t that too harsh a punishment for him?”
Fu Linxuan’s expression became slightly tense, “Ran Ran, you don’t have feelings for him, do you?”
Su Ran shook his head immediately, seeing how much Fu Linxuan cared about the relationship, he certainly couldn’t admit it, “No, how could I? I have Gege now, why would I still have feelings for him? That’d be silly.”
Fu Linxuan leaned down to kiss his lips, smiling, “That’s right, Ran Ran can only love me.”
Just then, a bodyguard came in to report, “Boss Fu, there are two young men outside, looking for young master Su.”
Fu Linxuan pondered, “Two young men? What kind of young men?”
“One’s called Qin Yue and the other’s called Pei Zhiyang, said they’ve greeted the old master before.” the bodyguard said.
Hearing this, Su Ran turned pale—it really was them. How had they found this place?
Fu Linxuan’s expression hardened as he looked at Su Ran, “Do you know them, specifically here to see you?”
Su Ran was thinking about how to respond when the arguing started outside; he heard the voices of Pei Zhiyang and Qin Yue clashing with the bodyguards.
It seemed he had to be honest, “They’re my classmates…”
Fu Linxuan, sensing there was more to it, told the bodyguard, “Let them in.”
Su Ran felt extremely uncomfortable as he remembered, but being held by Fu Linxuan, he could only sit on the sofa, occasionally glancing nervously towards the door.
Fu Linxuan paused the movie, and soon two angry young men entered.
Upon seeing the intimate posture of the two on the sofa and their matching pajamas, their eyes reddened, looking like they were about to lose it.
“Baby Ran, come here.” Pei Zhiyang called out to him.
Su Ran was torn, looking awkwardly at the two, “Why did you come…”
“We came to find you, we heard everything from Fu Qian’an. Come with us now, there’s no need to force yourself.” Pei Zhiyang said.
Hearing this, Fu Linxuan frowned, looking at the two, “What do you mean? What forcing himself?”
Su Ran quickly stroked Fu Linxuan’s arm, saying, “It’s nothing, it’s nothing.” Then he looked at Qin Yue and Pei Zhiyang, “You should go back, I’m fine here, I’m really good.”
As he spoke, Su Ran blinked at the two, but Pei Zhiyang and Qin Yue, having received the signal, were not about to give up. Pei Zhiyang stepped forward and grabbed Su Ran’s wrist, “Baby Ran, come with us.”
Qin Yue also spoke up, “It’s alright, don’t be afraid, I’m here, he can’t do anything to you.”
Su Ran was pulled up, and Fu Linxuan stood, grabbing Su Ran, “What do you mean? Guards! Detain them.”
Immediately, bodyguards flooded in, easily overpowering Qin Yue and Pei Zhiyang. Su Ran, looking anxious, repeatedly tapped Fu Linxuan, “Quickly let them go, they’re my classmates, you can’t treat them like this!”
“But they’re trying to take you away, saying all these nonsensical things.” Fu Linxuan said.
Qin Yue sneered, “As expected, just using your power to oppress Ran Ran.”
Fu Linxuan, taken aback, looked at Su Ran for an explanation, “I’m not, Ran Ran, you’re not afraid of me, are you?”
Su Ran opened his lips but said nothing. Then Pei Zhiyang spoke up, “I’ll tell you the truth then, Baby Ran is only with you because he’s scared, he doesn’t really like you.”
These words enraged Fu Linxuan, his eyes reddening as he ordered the bodyguard, “Shut him up.”
The bodyguard immediately covered Pei Zhiyang’s mouth, both of them holding him down as he struggled like a trapped animal.
Then, Fu Linxuan turned to Su Ran, asking seriously, “Ran Ran, he’s not telling the truth, is he?”
But at that moment, Su Ran looked at the restrained two, his eyes welling up in panic, and he told Fu Linxuan, “Quick, let the bodyguards release them!”
Seeing Su Ran’s expression, Fu Linxuan was momentarily lost, then waved to the bodyguards, “Release them.”
Then, Fu Linxuan pulled Su Ran closer, wrapping his arms around him, “Ran Ran, they’re really just your classmates? Just barging into my home like this, that’s too offensive.”
Su Ran was at a loss for words, but then Qin Yue spoke, “We’re more than just classmates, right, Ran Ran?”
Pei Zhiyang also spoke up, “I’ve been Ran Ran’s childhood friend, but our relationship has long surpassed that.”
Hearing this, Fu Linxuan’s face darkened, he held Su Ran tighter, saying, “But I’m Ran Ran’s lover, no matter how close your relationship is, it’s not as close as mine.”
At this, Su Ran’s face turned completely pale, his heart pounding with anxiety, fearing that any more talk would reveal everything.
Qin Yue sneered, then stepped forward, pulling at Su Ran’s wrists, “Ran Ran, tell him, who am I to you?”
Pei Zhiyang also approached, wrapping his arm around Su Ran’s waist, “Baby Ran, tell him, aren’t I the most important person to you?”
Caught in this awkward and yet strangely harmonious circle, Su Ran felt his head might explode, instinctively glancing at Fu Linxuan, who was watching him intently, “Ran Ran, is there something I don’t know about?”
Saying this, Fu Linxuan forcibly swallowed his frustration, then forcefully pulled Su Ran into his embrace, stating, “We two are lovers, no matter what your relationship with Ran Ran is, we are lovers.”
Qin Yue couldn’t stand it anymore, he coldly laughed, pulling Su Ran’s hands forward, “Ran Ran, if you won’t say it, I will,” he looked at Fu Linxuan, “You say you’re lovers? Well, there’s a matter of who came first. I and Ran Ran added each other on WeChat and started chatting way before you, so at best you’re just a latecomer.”
At this, Pei Zhiyang tightened his arm around Su Ran’s waist, speaking up, “By timing, you’re not as early as me. My relationship with Baby Ran can’t be compared to yours, we’re close enough to wear the same pants.”
Qin Yue immediately interjected, “But you’re nothing, at most just a friend. A bit closer, maybe a childhood friend.”
Pei Zhiyang countered, “We’re close enough to bathe together, can you top that?”
Fu Linxuan looked at Su Ran, his expression indescribable, “I don’t care what happened before, Ran Ran belongs to me now, we’ve done everything.”
As soon as he finished, Qin Yue and Pei Zhiyang shot him hostile looks, “Impossible!”
They all turned to Su Ran again, seeking confirmation. Su Ran felt overwhelmed, pulled this way and that, and all the noise was too much!
He hadn’t expected Fu Linxuan to argue about this with them, each seemingly trying their hardest to prove who had the best relationship with him. Although the tension was gone, it was truly irritating.
“Ran Ran, I can overlook your past, just tell everyone now, we’re the lovers.” Fu Linxuan said.
“Baby Ran, we’ve pretty much done everything too, from childhood friends to lovers, isn’t that the most natural? Tell me it is.” Pei Zhiyang said.
“Ran Ran, you’ve said it before, you like me, we like each other, isn’t that the most right to be together?” Qin Yue said.
As they argued on, time ticking by, Su Ran felt his mouth dry, yet they were still arguing, and he lost all his filters for them. Pei Zhiyang wasn’t the cool campus god, Qin Yue wasn’t the untouchable high-cold guy, and Fu Linxuan wasn’t the fierce boss; all their filters were broken now.
They argued on, finally all looking at Su Ran simultaneously, “Baby Ran, now you say, who do you most want to be with? We’ll respect your choice.”
After a moment of silence, Su Ran looked at them all staring back at him, and he just wanted to give up, saying, “I want to be with Fu Qian’an.”
The room fell deathly silent, their faces all showing shock, “What?”
