Her sudden time travel had caught her off guard. By now, her mother was probably worried sick. The shock of the abrupt transition had overwhelmed her, and she had almost forgotten to reassure her mother that she was safe.
After leaving the note, Qin Tianru turned her gaze back to the unconscious man, her mind swirling with thoughts.
What kind of fate tied her to this man?
Her mother had been rescued by her father on a foreign shore after a plane crash plunged her into the sea, creating a bond that deepened their connection.
Her eldest sister had accidentally traveled to another world as a child, saving her future brother-in-law, which later led to her own time travel and a beautiful love story.
But what about her?
She hadn’t experienced any accidents, nor had she ever been involved with this man before. So, what was the karmic link between them?
Was it because he was injured and would die without timely treatment, so fate had forcibly pulled her here?
Most importantly, her previously dormant supernatural ability had suddenly activated when she touched his blood—her hand glowing green, granting her the power to heal his wounds.
Had her ability remained unchanged all this time simply because she hadn’t encountered this man before?
Such coincidences, stacked together, carried an inexplicable significance.
Otherwise, out of all the people in the vast world and the countless realms, why had she been brought specifically to his side?
She believed there had to be a deeper meaning behind this arrangement.
If this man was truly her destined other half, then she was more than satisfied.
No wonder he perfectly matched her aesthetic preferences—she had liked him at first sight. So, he was meant to be hers all along?
Well… that worked for her.
She accepted this arrangement.
Suddenly, the rain grew heavier. Qin Tianru panicked and hurriedly rummaged through her storage space until she found a large umbrella.
She quickly opened it and nestled close to the man, the umbrella just big enough to cover both of them.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to find shelter—it was just that the surroundings were completely barren, with nowhere to take cover. Besides, her future partner was too tall and broad-shouldered for her to carry.
Fortunately, the tree they were leaning against had thick, lush foliage and a sturdy trunk, offering some protection from the wind and rain.
A chilly gust swept through the rain, making Qin Tianru shiver. Only then did she realize she was still wearing a short-sleeved top and shorts.
She promptly pulled out a long spring coat from her storage space and quickly slipped it on.
Suddenly, she noticed her still unconscious future partner. Considering he was already injured, catching a cold would only worsen his condition.
But her storage space didn’t have any men’s clothing at all. Even her own wardrobe only had one or two seasonal outfits for emergencies—nothing excessive.
Who could’ve predicted her time travel would be so abrupt, without the slightest warning?
She had lived in a prosperous, peaceful era where food and clothing were never a concern, so her storage space wasn’t stocked with many supplies.
Aside from spare seasonal clothes and daily necessities, it mostly contained jewelry—gold, silver, and precious gems—gifted by her family over the years.
There were also some snacks, just in case she got hungry and needed a quick bite.
And then there were seeds—all kinds of vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs, and grains.
Because of her supernatural ability, she couldn’t resist buying seeds whenever she saw them, storing them in her space for research and practice.
So, the most abundant items in her storage weren’t daily supplies but seeds of all varieties.
In the end, Qin Tianru had no choice but to drape one of her own long down jackets over the man.
Better to be overly warm than risk him getting chilled and aggravating his injuries.
