Chapter 69: Song Zhi Xu, is Ran Ran going to die?

“Ran Ran, you’re bleeding.” Song Zhi Xu’s hands were trembling a little almost to the point that he couldn’t hold Lin Ran.

The driver saw that he didn’t move at all, so he called out to him, only then Song Zhi Xu came back to his senses. He calmed himself down, picked up Lin Ran and ran quickly into the hospital.

Mu Qingting had just finished performing an operation and wanted to rest for a while, just in time he saw Song Zhi Xu carrying Lin Ran in, his face full of panic. 

“Qingting, bleeding, Lin Ran is bleeding, you please quickly take a look at him.” Song Zhi Xu’s face was filled with panic as he held Lin Ran, who was already unconscious, 

“Wha…what’s going on?” Mu Qingting’s eyes looked around Lin Ran’s body before he noticed that there was blood on Lin Ran’s trousers.

“Is this an injury? Song Zhi Xu, you are too fierce, do you want to do him till he dies?” Based on the place where the injury came from, Mu Qingting subconsciously thought that it was done by Song Zhi Xu, although Song Zhi Xu was his close childhood friend whom he grew up with, Mu Qingting still wanted to scold him, ‘This, do he wanted to toss the person to death ah?’

Now, Song Zhi Xu had no time to explain to Mu Qingting. He was only worried about Lin Ran in his arms.

Mu Qingting also knew that he was anxious so he hurriedly called the nurse to take Lin Ran in for an examination.

Song Zhi Xu stood in the corridor, staring blankly at the blood on his hands, his eyes slightly red.

How did he not see Lin Ran and let him get into this state? 

The driver parked the car well and came over to search for him, seeing Song Zhi Xu’s bad face, standing at one side yet he didn’t dare to speak. 

After a while had passed, Song Zhi Xu suddenly spoke, his voice a little hoarse, “You go back to the company, have someone upload the surveillance footage outside my office to my phone. I want to see who hurt him.” The driver promised and turned his head again before then he left at a fast pace.

Song Zhi Xu waited quietly outside, not knowing how long it took for the blood on his hands to dry out and then be soaked again by the cold sweat seeping out of his palms, he still stood there motionless.

A passing nurse saw this and kindly reminded Song Zhi Xu that there was a bathroom not far away so that he could go and wash his hands.

But as if Song Zhi Xu did not hear him, he also did not move a muscle, so the other party could only leave.

After waiting for an unknown amount of time, the door opened from the inside, Song Zhi Xu immediately walked forward and pulled Mu Qingting, asking anxiously,

“Where’s Ran Ran? How is he?”

Mu Qingting’s expression was also somewhat at a loss as he patted Song Zhi Xu, “I, I’m not sure either, I still need to check it again, so why don’t you follow me upstairs?”

The two nurses at the back pushed Lin Ran out, Song Zhi Xu immediately went up to him. Lin Ran’s face was still a little pale, but the painful look on his face had disappeared and he seemed to have completely fallen into a deep sleep. Song Zhi Xu followed Lin Ran all the way upstairs and watched as Mu Qingting took Lin Ran to the gynaecology department and then dragged another doctor into the ultrasound room. 

Song Zhi Xu immediately remembered what Xiao Nanyu had said last time when he was in the hospital, he said that Lin Ran’s face looked like a pregnant one and asked him to go to the gynaecology department to have a look. But at that time, he didn’t pay attention to it because the doctor said there was no need, so he didn’t take Lin Ran for a checkup, so now Lin Ran is really pregnant?

Song Zhi Xu’s heart was in turmoil, but he could only wait outside for another half hour or so before Mu Qingting came out and Lin Ran was wheeled into the ward behind him.

Mu Qingting looked at Song Zhi Xu, he wanted to say something but then hesitated. 

“What’s wrong? Is there something wrong with Ran Ran?” The more Mu Qingting behaved like this, the more flustered Song Zhi Xu’s heart became.

“You, you have to be prepared in your heart.” Mu Qingting patted his own head, in fact, his mind was all messed up now, it was the first time he had seen such a thing, and he didn’t know if Song Zhi Xu could accept it, so after hesitating for a while, he still said, “Lin Ran is pregnant. It was confirmed, there is indeed a child inside, it’s still so small, It should have been a recent pregnancy.”

“Pregnant?” Song Zhi Xu didn’t stand still for a moment and he almost fell down but Mu Qingting was quick to hold him up.

“Hn, little Ran Ran is indeed pregnant, but because the baby’s month is too small and little Ran Ran’s body is not well, so there is a bit of bleeding, but it’s not that serious, just that you have to be careful in the future, you can’t have intercourse with him again.” Only after Mu Qingting finished speaking did he suddenly remember that there was one more thing that he hadn’t asked Song Zhi Xu yet, so he looked up again and asked him, “This child, do you want it?”

If Song Zhi Xu didn’t want it, taking the advantage that the baby’s month was still small and the medical abortion wasn’t too harmful to Lin Ran’s body, then he shouldn’t hesitate for too long which would end up hurting Lin Ran even more in the end. 

“Of course I want it.” Song Zhi Xu did not hesitate at all to say it, but he immediately thought of Lin Ran, who was still lying in the hospital bed, and then asked again, but with a child in his stomach, would it hurt Lin Ran’s body?

“Well, no, Little Ran Ran’s body is not the same as normal people. He has a whole set of fully developed reproduction organs inside, but of course, no doubt, he is indeed a male, I don’t know how to explain this. Anyway, that’s the way it is.”

Mu Qingting was also a bit confused now, after all, he had never encountered such things before.

Song Zhi Xu nodded his head as he sighed and walked into the ward to see Lin Ran.

Mu Qingting was left alone outside.

He also remembered what Xiao Nanyu had said to him last time.

Song Zhi Xu kept watching beside Lin Ran’s bed and it didn’t take too long for the nurse to push the cart in and put the intravenous drip on Lin Ran. 

Song Zhi Xu looked up and asked, “What is this? Can a pregnant man use it?” Although Song Zhi Xu was inexperienced in this matter of pregnancy and did not know much about it, he still heard that there were many taboos during pregnancy, so he still subconsciously had to ask it clearly. 

The little nurse paused for a moment, then nodded again.

“Yes,he can, the medicine we mixed in it, in this hospital, is all suitable for all patients. You can rest assured.”

Only then did Song Zhi Xu nod and after saying thank you, he held Lin Ran’s wrist so that the young nurse could stick the needle into Lin Ran’s skin and hang the IV drip. When the nurse left, Song Zhi Xu continued to watch Lin Ran as he stayed beside him. His line of sight slowly moved to Lin Ran’s belly, he lifted the quilt a little and poked his hand in, gently touching Lin Ran’s still flat belly. No wonder Lin Ran threw up again after eating that night, after that he took his hand and said that his stomach was a bit uncomfortable. It was because he didn’t take good care of Lin Ran and he had bullied him too much; he was afraid that he might’ve hurt the baby in his belly.

Song Zhi Xu’s mobile phone rang loudly, so he took it out and looked at the surveillance video that the company had just sent him. Song Zhi Xu walked out of the ward and stood at the door before he opened his phone to finish watching the video, although he couldn’t hear the conversations of the people inside the video, he could see the other party pushing Lin Ran, who was shocked and trembled as he hugged himself tightly. Song Zhi Xu’s eyes were cold, he knew that the woman in the video was the company’s vice president’s little mistress, and because the vice president had always done things without mistakes, Song Zhi Xu had always turned a blind eye. He didn’t expect that she would dare to hurt Lin Ran today.

Song Zhi Xu called directly, and his voice was full of coldness as he spoke to the person on the other side.

“You are fired, the company will send you a letter of dismissal later, you go follow up with the finance department yourself, then take your lover and leave the company. I don’t want to see you guys in the capital anymore.”

The person on the other side had already been scared since he knew about this matter, but he didn’t expect Song Zhi Xu to dismiss him straight away, after all, his position in the company was still very important, yet this time he could only tremble as he apologized.

But Song Zhi Xu did not want to hear any more from him, so he hung up the phone and sent notice to his assistant. He didn’t care anymore about the rest of this matter. The assistant had just installed the surveillance camera at Song Zhi Xu’s home, therefore he immediately rushed back to the company to deal with these matters.

Lin Ran woke up after an hour’s sleep, and when he woke up, his arm was still somehow cold, therefore Song Zhi Xu’s warm palm was placed on his arm to warm him up.

“Song Zhi Xu,” Lin Ran called out in a low voice.

Song Zhi Xu suddenly came back to his senses and when he saw that Lin Ran was awake, he went over to him and carefully touched his face as he whispered, 

“Ran Ran, how is it? Is your body still uncomfortable?” Lin Ran looked at Song Zhi Xu for a moment, tears suddenly slipped down from the corners of his eyes, his voice was tinged with a sobbing tone and he was trembling as he asked, “Song Zhi Xu, is Ran Ran dying?”

“No, how can you die? You won’t die.” When Song Zhi Xu saw him like this, he was also very heartbroken, but he didn’t know how to tell Lin Ran about his pregnancy, so in the end he just said,”You’re just sore from the bump, you’ll be fine after you finish the IV.”

“Then I won’t die? But, but, there was blood on Song Zhi Xu’s clothes.” Lin Ran remembered  while he was still in daze, hearing Song Zhi Xu say that he was bleeding, and now there were still some dark red blood stains on Song Zhi Xu’s sleeves, so he was a little afraid when he saw it.

Song Zhi Xu had not paid attention to it before, but now he saw the blood on his clothes, so without even thinking about it, he took off his shirt and threw it aside, then went up and kissed the corner of Lin Ran’s mouth. 

“Darling, you’re not going to die, it’s just a fall.”

“But, but, Ran Ran’s stomach still hurts a little.” Lin Ran did not have much strength left so he looked extremely pitiful.

Song Zhi Xu hurriedly put his other hand over Lin Ran’s belly to warm it up, reassuring him several times before Lin Ran finally felt at ease. It was probably because his body was still a bit uncomfortable, or maybe the IV drip (intravenous drip) he had received had some drugs to help him sleep, so after Lin Ran spoke to Song Zhi Xu for a few minutes and after his body had relaxed, he closed his eyes and fell asleep again. Song Zhi Xu watched Lin Ran alone by the bedside, seeing that the IV drip was already empty so he asked the nurse to come and remove it for Lin Ran, before then stood by the window for a while before taking out his mobile phone to call Lin Mu.

He remembered that Lin Mu had said that he should stay away from Lin Ran, and at that time, he also had said that Lin Ran was a bit special.

He only thought at the time that Lin Mu was referring to Lin Ran’s incomplete intelligence, but now if he recalled it, Lin Mu might have been referring to something else at the time.

So he still had to ask for clarification. 

It didn’t take long for the call to be connected, and Lin Mu’s voice came through from the other side.

“Zhi Xu?”

“Hn.” Song Zhi Xu answered, he then looked at Lin Ran in the hospital bed before saying, “Ran Ran, he’s pregnant.”
