Chapter 7
Fatty suddenly looked at Little Brother’s mouth, then glanced at Xiao Tianzhen’s.
He did this back and forth a few times, enough for even Little Brother to notice something was off. His gaze questioned what was going on.
Fatty slapped his thigh and exclaimed, “Fatty has discovered a crucial detail!”
The sound startled Zhang Qiling. He glanced at Wu Xie before turning to look at Fatty.
Fatty felt a little unnerved under Little Brother’s stare, but he couldn’t let go of this juicy revelation.
Zhang Qiling, seeing that Fatty wasn’t acting completely insane, assumed there was nothing serious and turned back to Wu Xie.
Three seconds later, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning his head, he saw Fatty’s serious expression, deep-set eyes, and an open mouth, as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t.
“What is it?”
Could it be that Wu Xie’s lungs were already in trouble? Had he missed something the doctor said?
Seeing that Fatty still wasn’t speaking, Zhang Qiling grew slightly impatient. He frowned and asked coldly, “What’s wrong with Wu Xie?”
Fatty took a deep breath and then blurted out, “Xiao Tianzhen, you and Little Brother… are you two… together? I, Fatty, have seen and understood everything. You don’t have to hide it from me.
Am I not your brother? Aren’t we the Iron Triangle? Why didn’t you tell me? If you were going to hide it from someone, it shouldn’t have been me!
Does Third Master know about this? Even when we went to Queen Mother of the West’s palace, Panzi didn’t tell me anything! So, all of you were keeping secrets from me? Do you all really think I can’t be trusted?
How many times have we fought life and death together? Have I ever not had your backs? Huh?! And yet, you guys don’t tell me anything!
People out there say we’re the Iron Triangle, but I say that’s bullshit—absolute nonsense!”**
The more Fatty spoke, the more he felt betrayed. For the first time, he pointed at them both and scolded them, his face contorted with grief. At this moment, he didn’t even care if Little Brother kicked him.
Zhang Qiling stared at Fatty for a long moment before calmly saying, “What are you talking about?”
Fatty looked at Zhang Qiling’s innocent expression and at the still soundly sleeping Wu Xie. He was so frustrated that his face turned red. He plopped onto a chair, refusing to speak further.
After calming down, Fatty remembered that Little Brother was practically a Level 9 Life Incompetent—he probably had no idea what he was talking about.
Realizing this, Fatty stopped being mad and rushed back to Little Brother.
“Are you and Xiao Tianzhen together or not?”
“What?”
“In the desert, Xiao Tianzhen thought he was trapped in an illusion, thought he was dying, so before dying, he kissed you—several times! His mouth was all over yours, and by the end of it, your lips were swollen.”
Zhang Qiling was stunned for a moment. The desert? The Queen Mother of the West’s tomb?
“Yes! Back then, Xiao Tianzhen suddenly went crazy, kissed you, and then passed out. You were barely conscious at the time, so I had to carry you back.
After that, the people from Ding Zhuangma saved us.”
Zhang Qiling didn’t remember. At that time, he hadn’t come back yet.
“I don’t know.”
“Of course, you don’t! You were unconscious after coming out of the Abyss Cave, and you kept mumbling about how there was no time left.”
No… time left.
The Bronze Door.
Before he returned, those drifting spirits had told him that he needed to go inside the door again—to receive something.
“Little Brother, what exactly is going on between you two?” Fatty asked. “If you don’t like him that way, you’d better make it clear to Xiao Tianzhen. It’ll be better for both of you.”
Zhang Qiling shook his head.
Fatty’s heart sank. Damn it. So, Xiao Tianzhen was crushing on him all along?!
With Wu Xie’s stubborn personality, the two of them were going to be in for one hell of a mess.
But then again, didn’t Little Brother treat Wu Xie pretty well? It seemed like he liked him too, even if just a little?
Wait—was Little Brother planning to run away from this?!
