The little dumpling had already walked over, her big eyes sparkling as she offered the cup of water to Yu Mozhi like she was presenting a treasure.

Yu Mozhi took it without saying anything, just reached out and patted the little girl’s head.

“I’ve already contacted a few directors I’m familiar with, and some video editors too. The attitude of the people the company sent to negotiate—and the fact they were trying to frame us—should be enough for us to find some evidence. For now, your job is to compile the details of your work from the past two years. Also, I’ve found a location for a potential studio. Let’s go check it out this afternoon.”

“Alright. I’ve already been fed up with working for them. Every day they abuse their authority just to push people around. I’ll get things sorted and finish up the work related to the artists under my management too.”

In the past two years, Yu Mozhi’s popularity had indeed declined sharply. With many high-profile productions, even if he was willing to audition, directors would first go through the company and wouldn’t offer him good roles. The only reason his reputation hadn’t gone bad yet was because his acting skills were still holding things together.

Just as he turned his head, she had already run over and was now standing in front of him with another cup in her hands. It was filled with water too, and her little voice was soothing just to hear.

Her round little apple cheeks lifted up, and her naturally curved M-shaped lips pouted slightly, glowing with a soft pink sheen.

“Uncle, Mianmian poured you water too! Isn’t Mianmian very polite?”

Liu Wu: So, so sweet! Uncle is truly touched!

His previously shattered heart was instantly glued back together.

“Your name is Mianmian, right? What a polite little sweetheart.” Liu Wu accepted the cup with a smile and patted the little dumpling on the head.

“It’s all because Daddy taught me well! Mianmian’s daddy is the best daddy in the whole wide world!”

Little Lucky Fish puffed out her tiny chest, tilted her little face upward, full of pride but still didn’t forget to flatter her dad.
