The Lucky Koi Baby Overwhelms the World with Cuteness Chapter 25

Chapter 25: Tiny Short Arms Can’t Make a Heart

When the little dumpling came out of the changing room wearing a fiery red jacket dress trimmed with white fur, her entire aura had changed again. Her originally silly and cute smile was now slightly restrained. It wasn’t the reserved kind of smile from a gentle young girl, but rather a proud, confident smirk—a bit wild and unrestrained.

Especially with her delicate features—because she hadn’t been raised properly, she was a bit thinner than other children, making her facial features appear even more defined. Although she was still very young, that air of pride was already vividly apparent.

Liu Wu was momentarily stunned and couldn’t help but mutter under his breath, “Why do I feel like this little dumpling has more natural charisma than you, her dad?”

He had already been amazed by Yu Mozhi’s acting skills back then. Yu usually showed little emotional fluctuation, so when he portrayed more emotionally rich roles, even if the image was there, it still lacked some depth.

So whenever he took on such roles, people would often nitpick. But fortunately, his skills were indeed excellent, so his Best Actor title was well-deserved.

But this little dumpling…

Liu Wu pondered silently, while little Mianmian had already tilted her tiny head to look at them. Her face instantly lit up with a bright smile, and she bounced over excitedly. “Daddy, Daddy, do I look pretty?”

Yu Mozhi hadn’t expected the outfit to look this good on her. Still not quite used to this warm father-daughter scene, he nodded. His compliment, meant to coax a child, came out a bit stiff. “You look pretty.”

The little dumpling swayed her small body proudly and turned her head to look at the shop assistant.

Though her hair wasn’t long, the skillful young woman had tied it up simply with a red ribbon, making her look just like a little princess from ancient times. She looked lively, innocent, and playful—all rolled into one. Her bright little eyes could melt hearts.

Unable to resist, the shop assistant raised both hands above her head and made a big heart gesture.

The little dumpling stared blankly at her for a moment, confused by the gesture. She tugged gently at her daddy’s clothes, not wanting the shop assistant to know that she didn’t understand what the gesture meant.

“She’s making a heart for you, Mianmian. It means she likes you,” Liu Wu explained, seeing clearly from Yu Mozhi’s expression that he was a complete straight man who had no clue what little girls were thinking.

The little dumpling blinked her big eyes, looked at the shop assistant, then at her daddy, hesitated for a moment, and then stretched out her two tiny arms and circled them around her little head—trying to make a heart for her daddy.

Oh, of course, her arms were just too short. She could barely manage to touch her arms together as they hugged her head. Forming a proper heart was out of the question. It looked more like she was enclosing herself in a bubble.

She didn’t even realize how silly she looked—she thought she had mimicked the elegantly dressed shop assistant’s pose perfectly. Her big eyes looked at Yu Mozhi with hopeful anticipation.

Yu Mozhi: …

Liu Wu struggled to hold in his laughter. In the end, he silently covered his face and looked away, his shoulders trembling. Even though he still felt sour inside, why was this little dumpling so ridiculously adorable?

The shop assistants watching from the side occasionally let out soft exclamations at the little dumpling’s antics.

Yu Mozhi finally raised his hand with slight hesitation and gave the little dumpling a pat-pat of approval.

The little dumpling beamed again, but just as she was about to lower her arms, her eyes were suddenly drawn to something else.
