Chapter 27 – Big Kitty Is Fierce!
The little dumpling shrank her tiny head in self-deception, pretending that if she didn’t look at him, then the little boy wouldn’t be able to see her either.
“There’s no cat here.”
Yu Mozhi, holding the pink, porcelain-like little dumpling in his arms, gently patted her back.
The little dumpling curled up entirely in her daddy’s embrace, her pink lips pouting.
There was clearly a big kitty over there, eyeing the little fish hungrily like a tiger watching its prey!
The little dumpling covered her chest. Under her palm, the texture felt uneven—this was the jade stone grandpa, who had regained strength and now slept peacefully after being reassured that the little dumpling had safely found her father.
The little koi seemed to have found a bit of courage. Her small hands clung to Yu Mozhi’s shoulder as she poked out her tiny head, revealing her big eyes to glance once more in that direction.
At this point, the young boy no longer wore that smile which had slightly intimidated the little koi earlier. All that was visible now was his side profile as he gazed toward the hallway ahead. His delicate face seemed slightly tense, with a somewhat indifferent expression. His round eyes vaguely resembled a cat’s—proud and noble, but also slightly fierce.
As expected, big kitties all looked fierce.
The little koi clenched Yu Mozhi’s clothes tightly, thinking in her heart.
Although the aura around this big kitty was quite fierce, he was still young. Compared to that black aura from before, he seemed less dominant. Even though he was fiercely tearing into that black aura, it was likely because his own aura wasn’t particularly auspicious either. So, this current deadlock was already a hard-won outcome.
You could tell just by the slightly pale tone of his face.
It kind of made people feel soft-hearted.
The little dumpling was both intimidated by him and simultaneously staring at that beautiful, delicate yet pale face.
Pure and innocent, she felt a little conflicted and a bit curious.
Was he the same as Mianmian? Did he also come from the world above?
The two adults really couldn’t figure out what this little dumpling was thinking. Liu Wu followed the little dumpling’s conflicted gaze and looked outside.
There, he saw a refined little boy standing outside the display window. He looked to be about the same age as the dumpling and was even better looking than the child stars on TV these days. Especially that aura of his—Liu Wu had never seen such a temperament in a boy this young.
The little dumpling being drawn to a peer wasn’t too unusual.
“Is the little dumpling wanting to find a playmate?” Liu Wu looked at her soft, chubby face, his fingers itching to reach out, but he knew he couldn’t compete with the ‘best daddy in the whole wide world.’ So he had to suppress that urge deep down.
However, it seemed like the little dumpling had been abused before. She was over three, almost four now—about the age to start kindergarten—but she didn’t seem to have any age-appropriate playmates?
That did seem like an issue.
Yu Mozhi furrowed his brow slightly and glanced in that direction as well. He began considering nearby kindergartens and the families with elderly caretakers in his residential area. There were quite a few who brought kids along. Adults really couldn’t grasp the thoughts of little dumplings—it had to come from interacting with peers their own age.
All in all, raising a little dumpling sure came with a lot of things to think about.
Meanwhile, the little dumpling watched as the man who looked similar to the big kitty just now walked back over, bent down slightly, and seemed to whisper something to him. The big kitty didn’t look over again. He nodded and turned to leave.
