Shen Xiuqi was surprised at how quickly Su Yaya succumbed to fear. He had expected her to put up more resistance.

In truth, she had always presented herself as obedient and sensible in his presence. She would affectionately call him “hubby” without a hint of discomfort while looking so well-behaved. And of course, she was undeniably cute and endearing making his heart soften whenever she addressed him fondly.

Yet, on the night he was not at home she started to cause a ruckus. Did she believe she could wreak havoc while the “tiger” was away, not watching her? Never having seen her act like this, he couldn’t help but wonder, which side of her was the real Su Yaya?

Was it the sweet, well-behaved, and cute girl or the wild and unrestrained one who acted freely in his absence the real her?

But thinking deeply about it, it seemed like whatever side of her was the real her, he thought she was very cute and wanted to pamper her.

Shen Xiuqi was scared by his thoughts. It felt like he was in a spell.

He couldn’t discern whether his apprehension stemmed from guilt over his thoughts or for other reason, but he found himself gazing at Su Yaya. Her chubby cheeks, teary eyes, and pitiful expression softened his heart, making it impossible to unleash his anger on her, even if he wanted to!

Sigh, never mind. Who let her be his woman? No matter which side was the real her, seeing that she had helped him successfully inherit the hundred billion inheritances, he would be magnanimous and not argue with her.

When Su Yaya heard him laugh, she knew that he was probably not angry at her anymore. Admitting her terror, she gazes up at Shen Xiuqi and continues to cling to him, nuzzling against his chest like a kitten. With a playful tone, she acted cute as she asked. “Hubby, didn’t you say you wouldn’t be home tonight?”

Why did he come back? She was almost scared out of her wits, especially after seeing the tension in his expression. Shen Xiuqi, as the male lead and dominant CEO, could be intimidating when angered, so she needed to appease him!

Feeling warmth spreading within him from her affectionate gesture, Shen Xiuqi’s heart skipped a beat for a moment. He reached out to pinch her cheek teasingly. “Weren’t you hoping to have the house to yourself while I was away so that you can have all the fun you can at home?”

“When did I say that?” Su Yaya denied as she innocently blinked her big doe eyes and met his gaze. Softly, she murmured. “At most, I was just lazing in bed.”

Shen Xiuqi smirked, “Heh.”

Casting a sharp glance her way, he declared. “I’m tired.”

Su Yaya immediately raised her right hand and said, “I’ll go turn the hot water on so you can take a shower and relax.”
