Assistant Chen’s attention was drawn to movement beside him, so he turned his head and Su Yaya had just finished drawing. She stood up, cup in hand, and walked toward the water dispenser to get some water.
Su Yaya had an enviable figure and radiant, fair skin. The dress she wore was just above her knees, revealing her long, slender, and perfectly straight legs. She wore nude-colored high heels that elongated her legs even more, giving her a graceful, almost ethereal appearance.
She took a sip from the cup, her movements slow and elegant. Su Yaya’s long eyelashes were thick and naturally curled, casting delicate shadows beneath her eyes when she blinked, like the flutter of tiny fans.
At that moment, Assistant Chen suddenly understood. With such a beautiful woman like Su Yaya, no man would be willing to let her suffer. An Yuting had tried to harm her, and with President Shen determined to protect Su Yaya, it was inevitable that An Yuting would face the consequences.
Hmm, he needed to be more careful in the future so he doesn’t make any more mistakes, he thought.
“I’ll take care of it immediately.” Assistant Chen said as he turned and left.
After finishing her water, Su Yaya returned to the sofa, picked up her pencil, and continued drawing.
When Shen Xiuqi finished his work, he walked over to see what Su Yaya was drawing.
On the A4 paper, there were green mountains, white clouds, crystal-clear water, and a small courtyard. In front of the courtyard, a pond full of fish sparkled, and several ducks swam leisurely across the water. The painting exuded a peaceful and carefree atmosphere, making anyone who looked at it feel relaxed. It seemed like the kind of place where one could live in comfort and contentment.
“I didn’t know you could paint.” Shen Xiuqi remarked with a smile.
Su Yaya was startled by his sudden comment and quickly tried to put the painting away. “I was just doodling,” she said, brushing it off.
Shen Xiuqi reached out, stopping her from putting it away. Pointing at the painting, he said. “If this is what you draw casually, then you could easily hold an art exhibition if you took it seriously.”
“Ah, I was just bored and sketched something for fun. It’s really not as impressive as you say. Okay, stop praising me or I’ll get too full of myself.” Su Yaya grinned, watching his expression carefully. Seeing that he wasn’t reading too much into her painting, she quickly tucked it away. Inwardly, she scolded herself for being so bored that she absentmindedly painted something like that in Shen Xiuqi’s office. Now that he’d seen it, she could only hope he wouldn’t overthink it.
Thankfully, Shen Xiuqi didn’t press her further about the painting, and Su Yaya breathed a sigh of relief.
“I’ve finished my work for the day, so I can head home early.” Shen Xiuqi said as he gently took her hand, playing with her delicate fingers. “The weekend is coming up in two days, and I’ll be free. Is there anywhere you’d like to go?”
“The weekend?” Su Yaya quickly counted the days on her fingers. After realizing her schedule, she sighed regretfully. “I have to shoot an advertisement on Saturday, so I don’t think I’ll be able to.”
Hearing this, Shen Xiuqi sighed inwardly. Seeing her painting of serene mountains, white clouds, and the peaceful countryside earlier, he had thought she might want to escape the city for a while and relax in the suburbs.
He was often tied up with work but when he had free time, he liked to unwind by spending a few days at his villa in the countryside. He had originally planned to take Su Yaya there this weekend, hoping to make it up to her after everything she had been through. But now, it seemed her advertisement shoot took priority over spending time with him.
Was shooting an advertisement really more important than being with him?

The author has something to say:
Shen Xiuqi: Is shooting an advertisement really more important than spending time with me!?
Su Yaya: Earning money is more important, hehe!
