Chapter 27: Qin Family Mansion

When Meng Yitong went downstairs, she found the hall was empty.

As soon as she entered the dining room, a delicious breakfast was laid out on the table.

As she enjoyed the meal, she couldn’t help but feel content: This is what it feels like to be the one in charge—there’s always food waiting for you, no matter when you wake up.

It was different from when she was at the Meng family’s house, where after mealtimes, she couldn’t get the chef to cook anything. She didn’t even know if the original owner could cook, so she didn’t dare to show any weakness, often going hungry.

She could’ve ordered takeout, but since the villa was far from the city center, the delivery fees were high.

With all the debts she had, Meng Yitong didn’t want to spend that extra money on delivery fees.

After being hungry once, she never dared to miss a meal at the Meng family again.

After finishing her breakfast, Meng Yitong began to listen to Aunt Li explain the layout of the Qin family mansion.

The Qin family’s villa was only six stories tall, but each floor was much larger than the ones at the Meng family’s mansion.

The first floor was for common areas like the living room, kitchen, dining room, banquet hall, and dance studio. The second floor was where Qin Zoran’s grandparents’ room was located, although they were rarely home because they often stayed abroad for medical treatment.

The third floor had the rooms for Qin Zoran’s parents, the fourth floor was for Qin Zoran’s second brother, and the fifth floor was for her and Qin Zoran’s room.

She hadn’t heard Aunt Li mention the sixth floor, so she casually asked, “What about the sixth floor?”

Aunt Li paused for a moment before replying, “The sixth floor is for the children’s rooms and a play area, prepared by Mr. Qin for you and the young master.”

Meng Yitong was stunned, her eyes widening in shock. So this is what Qin Zoran’s father was planning! Though I had suspected a pregnancy, I didn’t expect him to be so eager!

After Mrs. Li finished introducing the main building of the Qin family villa, she began to take Meng Yitong on a tour, explaining each area. “The first floor consists mainly of the living room, kitchen, dining room, banquet hall, dance studio, meeting room, and other public spaces. There are two dining rooms; the one you just ate in is the one used by the Qin family, and there’s another, larger one…”

Mrs. Li gave a detailed introduction, and Meng Yitong followed along, listening while observing the layout of the Qin family’s home, gaining a general understanding.

When Mrs. Li reached the dance studio, Meng Yitong curiously asked, “Who uses this dance studio?”

She had wanted to ask this yesterday, as the Qin family, except for Madam Qin, consisted mainly of men. So, was it Madam Qin who used the dance studio? But looking at Madam Qin’s figure, she didn’t seem like someone who would be dancing.

“Answering the young mistress, this dance studio was prepared for the second young master, but since his room also has a dance studio, this one is mostly unused.”

After saying this, Mrs. Li recalled that the young mistress was a dancer, so she added, “This dance studio is for general use. If you’d like, you can use it as well, or we can even set up another dance studio on the fifth floor for you if necessary.”

Upon hearing this, Meng Yitong quickly laughed it off and changed the subject. Though some physical memories of the original owner still lingered, they were few.

Meng Yitong felt that dancing could be a hobby, but she didn’t think she could make a living from it.

After finishing the first-floor tour, Meng Yitong followed Mrs. Li to the fifth floor, where she and Qin Zhuoran would be living.

The floor was fully equipped for eating, drinking, and entertainment. Meng Yitong looked at the spacious, nearly 100-square-meter walk-in closet and couldn’t help but wonder if she could truly fill it with clothes.

“Young mistress, this closet is for your clothing. There’s a larger one next door for your clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories…”

Following Mrs. Li, Meng Yitong entered the adjacent closet. She looked at the empty racks in the 200-square-meter space and didn’t feel excited. In fact, she thought the room seemed unnecessary.

“How ridiculous,” she thought. “Where would I get all the money to buy so many clothes, bags, and accessories?”

After the tour of the floor, Meng Yitong asked curiously, “Does Qin Zhuoran use all these rooms?”

“Young mistress, the eldest young master only uses the bedroom and study.”

Meng Yitong recalled the other two bedrooms she had seen earlier and thought that Qin Zhuoran must have taken a shower in the adjacent room yesterday.

But the fifth floor only had two bedrooms for the couple, so why was there a third bedroom?

She could understand two bedrooms—every couple occasionally needs some personal space—but why was there a third bedroom on the other end of the floor? Even if it was for a baby room, it was still too far away!

Meng Yitong didn’t quite understand.

Seeing the puzzled look on Meng Yitong’s face, Mrs. Li smiled and explained, “That room is prepared for the eldest young master. If he comes home late, he can stay there so it won’t disturb your rest.”

Meng Yitong was a little doubtful. “Is he really that considerate?”

But when she saw that Mrs. Li was starting to explain the outside environment of the villa, she quickly focused on listening.

“This estate spans about 20 acres. This is the main building, and there are two auxiliary buildings outside—one for receiving guests, and the other for the housekeepers, drivers, servants, and security staff…”

Meng Yitong followed Mrs. Li through the entire Qin family estate, and by the time the tour was finished, it was almost noon.

Sitting at the dining table, Meng Yitong asked curiously, “Am I eating alone for lunch?”
