The Moon Island
The Moon Island: Chapter 27

27. Want To Sleep WIth You.

The room was filled with the dampness of rain, and outside, the drizzling rain continued to linger.

Yet, within this space, it was very quiet—so quiet that you could only hear each other’s heartbeat and breath.

After a while, Luo Yue extended a finger and leisurely poked at her shoulder, “Do you know what you’re saying right now?”

Qin Zhaoyi pursed her lips, “I can take responsibility.”

Hearing this, Luo Yue chuckled, moved closer, and the warmth of her words brushed against Qin Zhaoyi’s neck, “Is that so?”

Casually questioning, it seemed to stimulate and provoke the other party even more.

“Yes,” Qin Zhaoyi single-handedly unbuttoned the topmost button of her sleepwear, revealing her fair clavicle. She issued an invitation, “My apology.”

Luo Yue’s fingertips touched it, carrying a hint of moisture. Although it was just a gentle touch, it made Qin Zhaoyi’s spine straighten. Even her tiptoes, which had slightly curled up, seemed to shrink in this quiet space. In the next moment, whatever happened seemed inevitable.

Whether it was thunder shaking the earth or the spring breeze blowing across the wilderness.

“Not doing it?” Qin Zhaoyi’s tone was cold, but the trembling undertone betrayed her nervousness.

“Do you know this is an invitation?” Luo Yue raised an eyebrow, and her red lips were about to touch Qin Zhaoyi’s clavicle.

Qin Zhaoyi’s fingertips rubbed the collar, grabbing it tightly until it deformed, “You can interpret it that way too.”

“Under what pretext?” Luo Yue chuckled, calling out each word, “*Princess, Qin.”
*Qin, gong, zhu – gongzhu is Princess

“What pretext do you want?” Qin Zhaoyi retorted.

Luo Yue sneered, and her lips lightly skimmed the skin over Qin Zhaoyi’s clavicle.

This seemingly elusive touch was the most provocative.
Seemingly provocative yet separated by a galaxy.

Those unfamiliar with the situation wouldn’t understand what the parties involved were trying to achieve.

However, Qin Zhaoyi felt that this was something she should endure. Because of her fever last night, she had offended Luo Yue, so it was only natural for Luo Yue to punish her in any way today.

Yet, hidden beneath it all were other thoughts, unclear and inexplicable.

It was an apology, but also a test.

Testing how much emotion Luo Yue had for her and how much of it was genuine.

“In what capacity do you think is appropriate?” Luo Yue’s gaze was sharp, lacking any hint of gentleness and carrying a strong sense of aggression.

Perhaps it could also be understood as provocative.

At this moment, Qin Zhaoyi felt that Luo Yue was being her true self.

Gentleness was just a façade.

Even though her expression was more serious now, Qin Zhaoyi felt more at ease, even more delighted than before.

If Luo Yue was willing to show such an expression to her, did it mean that they were getting closer?

With these thoughts, a smile appeared on Qin Zhaoyi’s lips, and she replied, “As you wish.”

The question was kicked around like a football, with no one giving a definite answer.

It was like a silent standoff.

After an unknown amount of time passed, Qin Zhaoyi took four or five deep breaths. Suddenly, she couldn’t help but let out a muffled groan and took in a breath of cool air.

Contrary to her expectations, the bite mark did not land on her clavicle; instead, it was Luo Yue’s fingers.

Luo Yue’s two fingers gently pinched the skin on her clavicle, lifting it slightly before letting it snap back down.

It was as easy as playing with an elastic band, leaving behind visible red marks, especially on Qin Zhaoyi’s easily bruised skin.

Feeling the pain, Qin Zhaoyi frowned and looked at Luo Yue. However, Luo Yue, like an innocent person, took half a step back, spread her hands towards Qin Zhaoyi, and shrugged, saying, “Even now.”

“It’s not the same,” Qin Zhaoyi argued.

Luo Yue chuckled, “What’s different about it?”

“I bit with my teeth,” Qin Zhaoyi explained with a forced scalp, “while you only used your hand.”

“So, should I also use my teeth?” Luo Yue provocatively asked.

Qin Zhaoyi stuttered, “…”

She muttered “En” somewhat embarrassedly.

Luo Yue stood there with folded arms, calmly examining Qin Zhaoyi from head to toe. Then, with a slight smile, she said, “Do you know what creatures bite people?”

Qin Zhaoyi asked, “Hmm?”

“Dogs,” Luo Yue stated confidently. “So, do you want me to be a dog too?”

Qin Zhaoyi, “…?”

She didn’t understand why the conversation took such a turn, but… anything with teeth could bite, right? Even rabbits bite when they’re agitated. Cats bite too, and even wild boars can bite people.

Before she could argue, Luo Yue continued in a leisurely manner, “But I don’t want to be your dog.”

Qin Zhaoyi, “…”

Feeling that something was off about this conversation, she hadn’t figured it out yet when Luo Yue continued, “You must be confused to do something like that.”

“I am perfectly clear-headed,” Luo Yue said with a playful smile. “I can’t just follow along with depravity.”

Feeling unsure of how to counter these words, Qin Zhaoyi was interrupted by Luo Yue patting her shoulder. “Shijing Ge is still waiting; let’s get the IV drip first.”

Qin Zhaoyi, “…?”

Qin Zhaoyi had never lived by the sea before, and due to her body’s resistance and the fact that she had fallen into the water that day, she caught a bad cold. If it weren’t for Luo Yue arriving in time and calling Cheng Shijing, she might have succumbed to the fever in this house.

When Luo Yue found her, her body temperature had already reached 39.5 degrees Celsius. Later, when Cheng Shijing arrived, her temperature had soared to 39.8 degrees Celsius.

Cheng Shijing gave her an IV and administered fever-reducing medicine.

She sweated profusely, soaking not only her clothes but even the bedsheet.

Luo Yue noticed her condition, and after Cheng Shijing left, she used a towel to physically cool her down multiple times. Once the temperature dropped a bit, she changed Qin Zhaoyi into clean sleepwear and replaced the bedding.

After a busy night, by the time her fever subsided, it was already early morning.

Cheng Shijing, sleepy and yawning, couldn’t resist teasing Luo Yue, “Aren’t you afraid she’ll offer herself to you in the morning?”

Luo Yue glanced at him. “Watch your mouth.”

“Where did your thoughts go?” Cheng Shijing said. “I mean, with you taking care of her like this, she might wake up and be so moved that she offers herself.”

Luo Yue casually threw something at him, and Cheng Shijing caught it.

“You’re not tired?” Luo Yue pinched her neck. “Go home and freshen up.”

“Okay, just throw it away after using,” Cheng Shijing chuckled, reminding her, “If there’s any situation, contact me. Her condition isn’t that stable.”

Luo Yue watched Cheng Shijing leave before going to the bathroom to inspect the marks on her neck.

When Qin Zhaoyi bit her, it seemed to carry some resentment, leaving no room for gentleness. However, after biting, she lightly licked, resembling an injured little animal.

After enduring for a day and night, Luo Yue, mentally fatigued, didn’t expect Qin Zhaoyi to rush into the house, speaking without any coherence.

At the moment when Qin Zhaoyi pulled down her collar, there was a brief instant when Luo Yue truly wanted to bite recklessly.

But she calmed down.

Now, facing Qin Zhaoyi standing in front of her, how should she describe it?

It was like a pretty little dog wagging its tail in front of its owner, just to alleviate its own guilt for doing something wrong.

Not exactly what she wanted.

This wasn’t what she desired.

After Qin Zhaoyi left, Luo Yue licked her lips, then bit the corner of her own lip.

The soft flesh on her lip slowly separated from the teeth, and the blood on her lip was vivid.

Afterward, Luo Yue stared at Cheng Shijing administering the IV to Qin Zhaoyi and closed the window in the room.

After talking to Cheng Shijing for a while outside, she barely managed to keep herself from collapsing.

Only after night fell did the rain gradually stop.

Lying on the sofa, Luo Yue unintentionally fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Qin Zhaoyi in the room wasn’t tired at all. She was still contemplating Luo Yue’s words.

—But I don’t want to be your dog.

—I’m perfectly clear-headed; I can’t just follow along with your depravity.

“Conversely. Is she implying that you should be her dog?” Zhong Ling’s voice came through the earpiece, startling Qin Zhaoyi.

Qin Zhaoyi furrowed her brow and sternly said, “Lower your voice.”

“What’s wrong?” Zhong Ling asked, “Are there other people around you?”
Qin Zhaoyi looked around the empty room, feeling completely ignored by Luo Yue. In a fit of pique, she said, “It would be better if there were someone else.”

Zhong Ling burst into hearty laughter, a mocking undertone mixed in. She didn’t care about Qin Zhaoyi’s life or death.

“If you can’t express an opinion, damn it,” Qin Zhaoyi, infuriated, gritted her teeth. The veins on the back of her hand, where the IV was attached, became more pronounced. She threatened, “You can hang up if you can’t speak.”

Don’t laugh.

So annoying.

Zhong Ling immediately restrained herself, but couldn’t help chuckling. After laughing, she quickly pleaded, “Sis Yi, I wasn’t mocking you, I swear.”

Qin Zhaoyi: “…”

Might as well not explain.

Seeing that Qin Zhaoyi was already swearing, Zhong Ling became serious.

However, matters of the heart were complex, and both those involved and observers might not fully understand. Zhong Ling could only analyze based on Qin Zhaoyi’s fragmented words and, with the perspective of her film directing degree, expounded, “You bit her, so she thinks you are her dog.”

Qin Zhaoyi: “…?”

What a terrible explanation.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t refute it at that time.

Being sick made her even duller.

“Otherwise, what else could it mean?” Zhong Ling asked.

Qin Zhaoyi pursed her lips.

“I can’t think of any other explanation,” Zhong Ling said, “But, to be honest, why did you bite her, Sis Yi? Did you undergo some mutation?”

Qin Zhaoyi almost bit her own lip and retorted angrily, “You’re the one who mutated.”

“How so?” Zhong Ling didn’t understand, “Kissing is kissing, hugging is hugging, and if all else fails, you can even suck a bit. Why bite someone?”

Qin Zhaoyi fell silent for a few seconds and said faintly, “I thought it was a dream.”

“Even if it’s a dream, you shouldn’t do that,” Zhong Ling said.

Qin Zhaoyi jumped back to the previous topic, “What the hell is ‘sucking’ ?”

Zhong Ling: “…”

Zhong Ling almost choked on her water and, after a few low coughs, explained, “It’s like a hickey, like a strawberry mark.”

Qin Zhaoyi reluctantly understood. To prevent Zhong Ling from continuing on this topic, she said coldly, “At that time, maybe it was a feeling of both anger and affection.”

She wanted Luo Yue to respond to her, to care about her, to let Luo Yue sink into the same emotions with her.

Not to stay detached from beginning to end.

“You’ve only been a few days,” Zhong Ling sighed, “How did you comprehend the true essence of love?”

Qin Zhaoyi: “… Do you call this love?”

“Then what else?” Zhong Ling used drama as an example, “In movies and TV shows, the extreme tension of love is often like this. Love and hate, hate and love. Loving while hating, wanting to embrace the person in your arms and rub them into your bones, while also wanting to see the other person fall into hell or sink together.”

Qin Zhaoyi suddenly fell into silence.

At that time, she felt this way about Luo Yue.

Wanting to be with her, whether ascending to heaven or descending to hell.

After all, it was just a dream, fearless.

On the other end, Zhong Ling remained silent. After a while, she chuckled softly, “I suddenly wonder what kind of woman turned our esteemed Qin author into this.”

Qin Zhaoyi faced her teasing without saying a word.

“I’ll go to Moon Island another day,” Zhong Ling suddenly said.

“Then I’ll leave,” Qin Zhaoyi hadn’t lost her sanity yet.

Zhong Ling sneered, “Qin Zhaoyi, can you bear to leave?”

It was like someone had touched her soft spot, and Qin Zhaoyi felt a bit annoyed by this feeling.

But for a moment, she felt a strange sense of joy.

She didn’t know where this strange joy came from.

“Don’t come,” Qin Zhaoyi said, “I want to be alone for a while.”

“If you want to be alone, stay away from her,” Zhong Ling said, “I’m afraid she’ll deceive you until there’s nothing left.”

Qin Zhaoyi hesitated slightly, “Are you suggesting I’d be better off dead?”

“It’s worse than death,” Zhong Ling’s tone suddenly became serious, “Be careful.”

After pondering for a while, Qin Zhaoyi replied in a calm voice, “It’s okay.”

For her, it was okay.

“Damn it,” Zhong Ling sighed helplessly, “Late-stage love brain, let’s take you out and behead you.”

Hopeless.

But in the end, they were still friends, and Zhong Ling didn’t interfere too much, only advising Qin Zhaoyi not to get too deeply involved. It was okay to get into bed, but losing herself was not allowed. However, looking at Qin Zhaoyi’s current state, she had already done the latter and hadn’t achieved the former.

“It’s only been a few days,” Zhong Ling couldn’t understand this the most, “How did you become so obsessed with her? To this extent?”

Qin Zhaoyi didn’t understand it herself. “I don’t know.”

Outside, the rain had stopped, but the wind continued. The waves kept crashing against the shore, and Qin Zhaoyi’s voice was very soft.

“At first, I just thought she was beautiful. Later, I was delighted to hear her voice. Holding her handkerchief made me curious. I wondered what kind of person the owner was. After that, hormones surged, and I kissed her. We shared a room, ate meals she cooked, waited for her to come home, visited her workplace. I saw different sides of her, heard her changing nicknames to tease me, and when she spoke, I unconsciously softened my tone… By the time I realized it, I was already like this.”

If you had to pinpoint a moment.

It started when she disembarked; with that handkerchief she hadn’t returned.

“She’s a very interesting person,” Qin Zhaoyi concluded.

Zhong Ling helplessly added, “You have terminal love brain.”

Qin Zhaoyi: “…”

After ending the call with Zhong Ling, Qin Zhaoyi realized that the initial question they were discussing didn’t yield any results. However, she did delve into an analysis of her own emotions.

The room fell silent, and Qin Zhaoyi retrieved a handkerchief from under the pillow. It was the one Luo Yue had given her when they first met. She had promised to return the handkerchief the next time they met, but they had met many times since then, and the handkerchief remained in Qin Zhaoyi’s possession.

Qin Zhaoyi reached out to touch the location on her collarbone; the pain had subsided, but the marks were still visible. Luo Yue’s words echoed in her mind, and suddenly something seemed to break through.

Luo Yue had said, “I’m clear-headed, I can’t afford to be corrupted like that.”

Implicitly, it meant that it could happen when not clear-headed. Moreover, Luo Yue kept asking about the nature of their actions.

In her mind, the extension of those questions was: What justification should there be for biting you? What justification for touching you intimately?

And further: What justification for staying by your side?

What kind of justification could it be?

Embracing, kissing, making love—doing the most intimate things.

It should be as a couple.

Realizing this, Qin Zhaoyi immediately got out of bed. The IV in her hand hindered her steps, but without a second thought, she ripped it off and hurriedly walked outside, shouting, “Luo Yue.”

She didn’t even pay attention to the blood dripping from her hand.

At this moment, Qin Zhaoyi’s heart was pounding, eager to quickly confirm Luo Yue’s answer.

She was impulsive.

For the first time in confirming her feelings, she was impulsive.

Impulsive to the point of wanting to embrace and blend the person into her bones, to kiss her recklessly.

Even more unrestrained than that day at the seaside.

Luo Yue, who was in a deep sleep, was awakened by her shout. Half-opening her eyes, she saw Qin Zhaoyi’s hand, which was dripping blood, and all drowsiness instantly disappeared.

“Be with me.”

“Are you crazy?”

Two voices almost sounded simultaneously; the former was Qin Zhaoyi, and the latter was Luo Yue.

Qin Zhaoyi frowned but cautiously asked again, “Luo Yue, be with me?”

Luo Yue exuded a chill, the temperament she hadn’t managed to conceal right after waking up. Staring at Qin Zhaoyi’s hand, she said, “Are you out of your mind?”

Qin Zhaoyi took a deep breath. “I’m not.”

“Then what…” Luo Yue was about to reprimand her for this crazy act of mistreating her own body when Qin Zhaoyi interrupted with a deep voice, “I’m asking you.”

“Do you want to make love with me?” Qin Zhaoyi almost said each word separately.

All reproachful words from Luo Yue came to an abrupt halt. After a long silence, she frowned and asked, “Now? Right here?”

Qin Zhaoyi reached to pull down her own neckline, unbuttoning one button after another with a nonchalant yet fierce expression on her face.

It was as if she proposed not *DOI but a challenge.
*sex

Qin Zhaoyi’s hand landed on the third button of the nightgown. “Will you?”

Luo Yue: “…”

This was crazier than going mad.

In this instant, it seemed like all the initiative had been handed over to Luo Yue.

But Luo Yue closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and coldly called her, “Come here.”

Qin Zhaoyi walked over unhurriedly. Almost as soon as she passed, Luo Yue pulled her down. Her slender back instantly lay on the sofa, and Luo Yue’s knees knelt by her side, pressing against her legs. Angrily, she asked, “Do you know what you’re doing?”

At this moment, Luo Yue discarded her disguise, displaying strong aggression.

Qin Zhaoyi was excited to see this side of Luo Yue. Her eyes and eyebrows revealed a smile.

“I’m pulling you in,” Qin Zhaoyi raised her neck, the blood vessels on her neck clearly visible. The delicate jawline appeared beautiful and captivating in the dim light. Her voice, however, was cunning and triumphant, “Together, to hell.”

Hearing this, Luo Yue’s brows furrowed tighter, and her throat rolled. “What do you mean?”

“I like you,” Qin Zhaoyi didn’t hide it, “So… I want to sleep with you.”

“Who’s sleeping with whom?” Luo Yue interrupted.

Qin Zhaoyi’s inadvertent gaze swept over her face and neck. She played casually and lasciviously, still in a seductive posture, “Maybe… you want to sleep with me?”

Seeing Luo Yue’s lack of reaction, Qin Zhaoyi added, “Mine… is very soft.”
