The Moon Island
The Moon Island: Chapter 43

43. Baby, don’t scream too loud.

The palm of Luo Yue’s hand was warm, but her fingers carried a chill.

At the moment when she touched Qin Zhaoyi’s skin, Qin Zhaoyi felt some resistance.

It was a fear from a physiological aspect.

But her back stiffened, even deliberately moving closer to Luo Yue.

The proximity had already crossed the line.

Outside the tent, because there was Cheng Shiyu, someone who could liven up the atmosphere, there was cheering and calls for Yan Ci to sing a song.

The bonfire flickered, and the moonlight also cast shadows on the tent, vaguely revealing the swaying tree shadows.

Yan Ci’s voice was delicate, and her speech was graceful, singing a folk song in her hometown dialect.

The soft Wu dialect blended seamlessly with the night by the silky stream.

Inside the tent, it became increasingly hot. Qin Zhaoyi couldn’t find solace for a long time, and under the influence of alcohol, she began to act coquettishly.

She buried her head in Luo Yue’s arms, rubbing against her, stirring up desires.

Luo Yue couldn’t stand it and raised her hand to pat her on the buttocks.

Qin Zhaoyi behaved for a moment.

Luo Yue asked her, “Are you still awake?”

Qin Zhaoyi’s eyes were hazy, she licked her lips and murmured, “Luo Yue.”

She was somewhat awake, but not fully.

Luo Yue’s tone raised slightly, “Hmm?”

Qin Zhaoyi sniffed and said, “Help me.”

There was a hint of pleading in her voice.

This request was difficult to refuse.

Qin Zhaoyi buried her face in her neck, her warm and moist lips touching the skin on her neck, “I feel so uncomfortable.”

Luo Yue hadn’t expected that this strong liquor would also have some aphrodisiac effects.

It might also be because Qin Zhaoyi saw her, triggering her desire.

Outside the tent, beside the bonfire, Yan Ci had already started singing a second tune.

It’s a very classic Suzhou Pingtan.

“The eaves drip with rain, and the white horse treads on fresh mud~”

As the graceful voice emerged, it made one’s bones tingle with pleasure.

Inside the tent, Qin Zhaoyi’s forehead was covered with a thin layer of sweat, and her face flushed.

Whether it was from drinking too much or experiencing another kind of pleasure was unclear.

“Luo Yue…” Qin Zhaoyi called out, her voice fragmented and delicate: “Slow… down.”

Her voice was like a cat, occasionally whimpering softly.

Yet not a tear fell.

Luo Yue paused slightly in her movements, “Do you really want me to slow down?”

It was as if a top musician suddenly stopped playing “Ambush from Ten Sides,” leaving one itching for more, even more eager.

Qin Zhaoyi grabbed her hand haphazardly, her eyes half-closed, filled with charm.

It was a natural charm, not deliberate but innate.

Yet Luo Yue did not comply with her wish: “You say, do you really want to slow down?”

As she spoke, her fingertips traced over some irrelevant places.

Even so, it only made Qin Zhaoyi hotter and more urgent.

Qin Zhaoyi immediately surrendered to her heart, her voice hoarse as she pleaded in the dark: “Don’t.”

Luo Yue, fearing others might hear, lowered her voice: “Then beg me.”

Qin Zhaoyi: “…”

Qin Zhaoyi didn’t know what kind of quirk Luo Yue had, always enjoying being begged.

Qin Zhaoyi had mentioned it once before, and this time it was even easier.

“Please.” Qin Zhaoyi bit her lip, “Continue.”

Before the words had fully left her mouth, Luo Yue effortlessly found her sensitive spot.

Qin Zhaoyi couldn’t hold back and cried out.

Just as Yanci’s singing outside stopped, her cry sounded particularly abrupt.

Qin Zhaoyi herself knew she had caused trouble, tightly pursing her lips as she looked at Luo Yue, with a hint of apology in her eyes.

Luo Yue chuckled softly, looking at Qin Zhaoyi, who was like a clingy puppy after drinking too much, wiping her lips with her hand and then holding her tight, whispering in her ear, “Baby, don’t scream too loudly.”

This “baby” made Qin Zhaoyi’s toes curl.

She felt like she was floating on cloud nine, her cheeks and eyes flushing abnormally.

Luo Yue had always been measured in her actions, something Qin Zhaoyi had never experienced before, and she easily fell into Luo Yue’s rhythm.

Just a few strokes felt so comfortable that it made her sigh.

Especially when Luo Yue kept whispering in Qin Zhaoyi’s ear: “If they hear, they’ll think I’m abusing you.”

Qin Zhaoyi’s words were all scattered, but she still stubbornly answered, “Help… me.”

“Does it feel better?” Luo Yue asked.

Qin Zhaoyi squinted, unable to resist the urge, and whimpered with her legs closed, “Mm.”

As soon as she uttered a syllable, Luo Yue covered her mouth, kissing her lips through the back of her hand, “Baby, don’t scream.”

Qin Zhaoyi: “…”

Tears welled up in Qin Zhaoyi’s eyes.

Afterward, Qin Zhaoyi was almost carried away to the clouds while her mouth was covered.

Before and after menstruation is the time when desires are most easily aroused, and Qin Zhaoyi, under the influence of alcohol, spoke out, and Luo Yue happened to help relieve her.

Not even a minute after it ended, Qin Zhaoyi had already drifted into a deep sleep.

It was Luo Yue who took out wet wipes from her bag, carefully wiped her clean, helped her put on her pants, covered her with a blanket, and then got up and left the tent.

Everyone happened to be gathered around the social anxiety star, Zhong Yu, chatting.

People who had graduated for many years were helping Zhong Yu plan for the future, while Zhong Yu was poking at the bonfire with a stick.

Luo Yue sat between Cheng Shiyu and Zhong Yu, “What are we talking about?”

“My job,” Zhong Yu muttered, “I don’t want to go to work.”

“But you can’t keep avoiding it,” Yan Ci said gently.

Zhong Yu looked at her, with a hint of something incomprehensible in her eyes to others, “But avoidance can make people happy.”

She answered Yan Ci with a light and evasive reply.

Luo Yue patted her shoulder, “Young, have the capital to be willful.”

Zhong Yu moved silently, shifting closer to Yan Ci, “But not too young.”

Luo Yue and her companions laughed together.

After the laughter subsided, Cheng Shijing asked, “What’s wrong with her? Is she having a drunken fit?”

Luo Yue shook her head, “No, she’s fine with alcohol.”

“Then why did we hear her shout just now?” Cheng Shiyu said, “I thought she was going to fight someone, I almost went in.”

Luo Yue: “…”

That shout from Qin Zhaoyi was indeed heard.

Just as Luo Yue was thinking of an excuse, Yan Ci perfectly cleared the situation and said, “With Luo Yue inside, nothing would happen.”

“She just twisted her neck when she turned over,” Luo Yue said, “After that shout, she fell asleep.”

No one said anything.

Time passed quietly, Cheng Shiyu’s biological clock was always accurate, and just after ten o’clock, she yawned, “I can’t, I’m sleepy, I’m going to bed.”

Luo Yue also got up, “Then let’s all go to sleep, we’ll be more energetic when we go back tomorrow.”

Everyone extinguished the fire, put the barbecue grill in the car, and Cheng Shijing took care of the remaining things.

Qin Zhaoyi slept in Cheng Shiyu and Luo Yue’s tent.

Even after drinking too much alcohol, her sleeping posture was still very obedient.

As Luo Yue had placed her earlier, she slept without moving a muscle, not even a change in expression.

As soon as Cheng Shiyu entered the tent, she frowned. After all, she was an outstanding student at the police academy. She sniffed the air, puzzled, “Yue Jie, did you smell that?”

Luo Yue was slightly taken aback, “What?”

Cheng Shiyu sniffed carefully, “There’s a slight strange smell.”

Luo Yue: “…”

Luo Yue had previously wiped each of her fingers clean with wet wipes, but after helping Qin Zhaoyi, there was indeed a lingering hint of intimacy.

Afraid of being smelled out, Luo Yue deliberately sprayed some perfume.

She never used perfume, so she took it from Qin Zhaoyi’s bag.

Fortunately, she sprayed perfume.

“It’s the perfume.” Luo Yue tossed her blanket over, “Your nose is quite sensitive.”

Cheng Shiyu lay down and adjusted her clothes, “Nothing can deceive my eyes and nose.”

Luo Yue also lay down, a bit away from her, and drew a line, “The line of courtesy, don’t cross over it at night.”

Cheng Shiyu also knew her own poor sleeping habits and said helplessly, “If I end up hurting you at night, just wake me up.”

“Come on.” Luo Yue chuckled, “I don’t want to end up like your brother, breaking an arm just to wake you up.”

Cheng Shiyu: “…”

“That was an accident!” Cheng Shiyu defended, “Who asked him to come into my room while I was asleep?”

Luo Yue felt drowsy, yawning as she teased, “Yes, yes, it’s all his fault.”

Cheng Shiyu relented at this.

As Luo Yue was drifting off to sleep, Cheng Shiyu suddenly asked, “Yue Jie, when do you think Miss Qin will leave Moon Island?”

Luo Yue’s mind cleared a bit, her voice clear, “I don’t know.”

“I feel like she’s been here long enough,” Cheng Shiyu remarked.

In the darkness, Qin Zhaoyi’s even breathing had become background noise.

Luo Yue asked, “Do you want her to leave?”

“What does it have to do with me?” Cheng Shiyu rolled over, yawning repeatedly, “I just feel like besides us, no one else would stay on Moon Island forever.”

“Isn’t Yanci an exception?” Luo Yue said.

Cheng Shiyu’s voice muffled, “She might be leaving soon too.”

After speaking, her breathing became long and drawn out.

Seemingly asleep.

Cheng Shiyu’s sleep was something Luo Yue greatly envied, as she could just fall asleep whenever she wanted.

But unfortunately, she had thrown a sleepless topic at Luo Yue before sleeping.

The sleepiness that had already brewed dissipated. Luo Yue lay in the middle, with Cheng Shiyu turned away from her on one side, separated by quite a distance, and Qin Zhaoyi lying flat on the other side, her usual cold demeanor absent after getting drunk and falling asleep, replaced instead by a touch of elegance.

Luo Yue turned over and stared at her for a while, then leaned in under the moonlight and kissed her on the corner of her mouth.

Qin Zhaoyi suddenly turned her face, getting very close to her, their breaths intertwining.

Luo Yue’s throat moved, effortlessly leaning in for another kiss.

And Qin Zhaoyi, still in her dreams, responded fervently.

After a while, Luo Yue pulled back, wiping away the moisture from Qin Zhaoyi’s lips with her hand.

Before she could make any other move, a leg draped over hers.

Cheng Shiyu, who had slept restfully through the night, woke up as usual, stretched lazily, then turned her neck. When she turned to the side, she was stunned.

Then, “click.”

Cheng Shiyu sucked in a breath of cold air, feeling the pain but not making a sound.

Because the two people sleeping next to her were now embracing each other peacefully.

At the edge of the tent, Luo Yue had one arm stretched under Qin Zhaoyi’s neck, while the other was draped over her body.

And Qin Zhaoyi was curled up in Luo Yue’s embrace.

Very intimate. Vey intimate

Cheng Shiyu had lived for over twenty years, and she had only slept like this with her girlfriend… No, her ex-girlfriend.

Don’t tell me…

A dreadful thought was born in Cheng Shiyu’s mind.

The next moment, Qin Zhaoyi’s shoulder unconsciously twitched, her brows furrowed as if trying to break free from the confinement of dreams, and she slowly opened her eyes with difficulty.

What met her eyes was Luo Yue’s chin. Qin Zhaoyi paused for two seconds, then a smile curved her lips as she leaned in and kissed her chin.

Cheng Shiyu: “…”

Luo Yue was also awakened by Qin Zhaoyi’s kiss, half-opening her eyes to look at her, her voice still carrying a weary tone, “Awake?”

Qin Zhaoyi murmured in agreement, then frowned, “Headache.”

Luo Yue naturally reached out to massage her.

Qin Zhaoyi asked again, “Did I drink too much last night?”

Luo Yue’s hand paused, “Don’t remember?”

“What happened?” Qin Zhaoyi asked.

Luo Yue pursed her lips, hesitated for a moment, then replied, “Nothing happened.”

“You’re lying.” Qin Zhaoyi stared into her eyes, “I remember you hugged me.”

Luo Yue: “…”

Luo Yue chuckled, “That’s not remembering.”

Qin Zhaoyi shook her head, “Just a little, very fragmented.”

As the two whispered to each other, Cheng Shiyu sitting beside them unconsciously held her breath, exhaling a sigh of relief just before suffocating.

Qin Zhaoyi and Luo Yue heard the movement and both turned their heads in unison.

Six eyes met.

Cheng Shiyu’s mouth twitched, then she quickly got up, tilting her neck as she walked out, ignoring the pain. As soon as she stepped out of the tent, she shouted, “Ge, I twisted my neck.”

The silence inside the tent lasted for a few seconds. Luo Yue immediately withdrew her hand and sat up, putting some distance between herself and Qin Zhaoyi.

Without the warmth of the embrace, Qin Zhaoyi instantly felt the chill.

Her headache was splitting.

Having drunk too much last night, her memory was fragmented, only remembering returning to the tent alone, then Luo Yue coming to find her.

They hugged, or rather, she had coaxed Luo Yue.

After that, it all became fragmented.

But no matter what, they were a bit closer again.

But because of Cheng Shiyu, Luo Yue directly released her.

This realization made Qin Zhaoyi somewhat unhappy.

But Luo Yue didn’t speak to her again, she opened the curtain and left the tent to check on Cheng Shiyu.

Luo Yue reached out to check her neck, but Cheng Shiyu agilely dodged.

Luo Yue’s hand hung in the air, feeling somewhat awkward.

Cheng Shiyu’s evasive gaze hurt Luo Yue a bit, and Cheng Shijing directly made Cheng Shiyu stand there, exerting force, with a “click” sound, Cheng Shiyu’s neck returned to its original position.

Cheng Shijing also mocked her, “I really admire you, twisting your neck even while sleeping.”

Cheng Shiyu stood there in disagreement, arguing, “I didn’t twist it while sleeping! You have no idea what I saw!”

Cheng Shijing retorted, “What did you see?”

Qin Zhaoyi happened to open the curtain and walk out of the tent, standing shoulder to shoulder with Luo Yue.

Cheng Shiyu glanced at them, and Luo Yue instinctively took two steps aside, distancing herself from Qin Zhaoyi.

When Qin Zhaoyi looked at Luo Yue, she noticed a complexity in her gaze towards Cheng Shiyu, something Qin Zhaoyi couldn’t understand.

Fear, pleading, dread, nervousness… too many emotions intertwined.

“What’s wrong?” Cheng Shijing, seeing Cheng Shiyu not speaking, taunted, “Mute or what?”

Luo Yue took over the conversation, saying, “I and…”

“I saw a bug,” Cheng Shiyu interrupted her, “A huge one, it scared me.”

Cheng Shiyu didn’t know how to lie, but her tone was somewhat awkward.

But Cheng Shijing had just woken up and didn’t catch on. Instead, he sneered, “Scared of bugs, how brave.”

Cheng Shiyu: “…”

So early in the morning, Cheng Shiyu chased Cheng Shijing through the woods, threatening as she chased, “Stop right there! Otherwise, if I catch you, I’ll make you wear silver bracelets.”

The siblings were noisier than the birds in the woods.

However, Luo Yue watched this scene with a serious expression, feeling uncomfortable in her heart, while Qin Zhaoyi silently moved two steps closer to Luo Yue.

Luo Yue crossed her arms, standing in a very defensive posture.

Qin Zhaoyi glanced at her, then her voice lowered and became heavy as she asked, “Are you ashamed of speaking your mind about dating me?”

“We’re not dating,” Luo Yue denied.

Qin Zhaoyi was momentarily stunned, then sneered, “Kissing, we’ve kissed and hugging we’ve hugged, isn’t that dating in her eyes?”

Luo Yue pursed her lips and remained silent.

Qin Zhaoyi’s attitude made her feel uneasy. In desperation, Qin Zhaoyi grabbed her wrist, still able to feel her pulse.

Qin Zhaoyi leaned closer and asked, “Are you afraid of being discovered, that you’re gay?”

When she said the last three words, Qin Zhaoyi’s tone was quite resentful.

Luo Yue’s throat suddenly felt dry, but this time she didn’t respond in silence.

After a long time Luo Yue spoke in a hoarse voice, “Yes.”

TN:

Sorry for the slow updates. It’s just that this couple frustrates me. Logically I understand the fear of exposure but spiritually, the continuous back and forth and Luo Yue constantly stringing Zhaoyi along then leaving her high and dry really irks me and I can barely finish working on one chapter without feeling the need to yeet my laptop😭. I’ll try to be stronger and work harder!
