Nan Yuan carefully held the three leaves in his hand.
He wanted to see through the leaves and see the mysterious person behind them.
But Nan Yuan saw nothing.
How did she appear, how did she move, and why couldn’t he see her?
And what purpose did she have for being good to him?
A series of questions popped up in Nan Yuan’s mind.
He looked at the paintings on the leaves strangely.
His face also turned suspiciously red.
If it was a girl, she always rubbed his head and got so close…
Nan Yuan didn’t know that his ears were more colorful than the red fruits.
On the other side, Tao Shushu was acting coquettishly to her mother, “Mom, I’ll be taking part in the physics competition training starting next Monday. I won’t be home until very late.”
“Shu Shu, you’re going to start working hard next week. How about this: Mom will take you to the hot spring spa today to relax and unwind.”
Tao Shushu refused, “No need, Mom. I want to study a little more.”
Tao Shushu repeatedly refused and showed no interest in the spa or getting a massage, so Mother Tao had to give up.
“Do you really not need Mom to stay at home with you? Then you can go out with your classmates and buy some beautiful clothes.” Mother Tao transferred 100,000 for pocket money to her. “So today, I went to find a lawyer with your dad. Yesterday, the company revealed its tricks.”
After Mother Tao left, Tao Shushu called the system: [Use a sobriety card for both of my parents].
[Okay.]
Tao Shushu now had a total of 4 sobriety cards. After using two, there were still two left.
This abrasive approach was too much of a hassle.
Tao Shushu recalled the system introduction and original book plot she saw yesterday. [The female lead’s first big goal is to be first in the monthly exam grade.]
[Is that so?]
[Next month’s exam, the first place spot will be mine.] After Tao Shushu finished speaking, she returned to her desk.
She opened the game first and found that the cub was obediently lying on the makeshift bed, wearing the oversized fisherman’s sun hat.
It seemed that her drawings had a communicative effect.
The cub was so obedient.
He became obedient as soon as she communicated.
The cub hadn’t fallen asleep yet.
His eyes flickered as he looked in different directions.
Was he searching for her?
But no matter how hard the cub looked, he couldn’t see her in the game.
Tao Shushu rubbed the cub’s head lovingly.
Then she discovered that the cub wasn’t covered with a blanket.
The only thing in the car that could be considered a blanket was the one filled with cotton fluff. He neatly set aside the only comfortable material, along with the red fruit and the oil that Tao Shushu still didn’t understand its purpose. He was only draped in a thin veil.
There was dew outside the car, and the temperature wasn’t high at night.
He would catch a cold.
Tao Shushu rubbed the little cub’s head and noticed his slightly curled-up posture. Even though it was cold, he couldn’t start a fire to keep warm in the car.
How could the cub be so careless with his own body?
Tao Shushu got angry.
She shook off the quilt and draped it over the cub. Seeing that the cub wanted to struggle, Tao Shushu reached out and pressed down on the quilt with two fingers.
Nan Yuan’s eyes widened.
He didn’t remove the thin thread used to capture her position.
So he clearly saw…
On the way to get the quilt, the thin thread in the distance also moved.
But when she covered him with the quilt, only the few thin threads closest to him were pulled.
Wasn’t she standing very close to him?
She pressed down the quilt.
She may be looking at his expression.
Nan Yuan stopped struggling.
He turned his head away and curled up even tighter. Because of the difference between men and women, he deliberately used the heat-insulating suit as a quilt to cover himself.
But…
If he insisted on not using it, she would keep holding it down.
Nan Yuan gave up struggling.
Forget it; it would be too shabby to use a simple cotton quilt as her exclusive quilt. He had to give her the best.
Tao Shushu helt it down for a few seconds and was surprised to find that the cub had stopped moving and was lying quietly under the quilt, with only the tip of his nose gently moving.
The cub’s face seemed a bit red.
Could it be that she held it too tightly just now and covered the cub’s nose?
Tao Shushu gently pulled the quilt, wanting to expose the cub’s face and neck, but found that the cub suddenly exerted force; he pulled the quilt over his head and covered his entire face, then he curled up into a small ball.
Tao Shushu wanted to pull again when she saw the cub tightly grasping a corner of the quilt with both hands.
Tao Shushu smiled in amusement.
She knew that on such a cold day, the cub would definitely get cold and wouldn’t want to put down the quilt once he was covered.
But he refused to cover himself and had to wait for his mother to cover him. He was a little arrogant.
Tao Shushu didn’t forcefully pull open the quilt. She patted him gently.
A good mother would pat her baby on the back and coax her baby to sleep when the baby curled up in the quilt.
Tao Shushu felt very qualified.
After a few minutes, seeing that the cub was sleeping soundly, Tao Shushu finally stopped.
Tao Shushu didn’t turn off the game because she was afraid that the cub might encounter danger while sleeping.
She placed her phone in front of her for easy observation of the situation on the cub’s side at any time.
Then, she lined up various reference books and exam papers in a straight line. [System, which subject do you think I should learn today?]
[Language.]
[Within three hours, if you get full marks on the classical Chinese test, you will receive a sobriety card and 10 gold coins.]
Tao Shushu let out a mournful cry, sobbing. [Sighing, I can’t.]
The system remained unaffected.
Tao Shushu glanced at the little cub sleeping obediently wrapped in the tight quilt. For the sake of her cub, she had to study.
Suddenly, Tao Shushu discovered a loophole. [Can it be done during the exams? Every year’s college entrance examination papers are real questions, and each set has a full score…]
The system was silent for a while. [I knew there was a loophole from the beginning. However, I think your ability… Friendly notice, the entrance examination results have been calculated, and your overall ranking is 189th. ]
Tao Shushu, who was looked down upon: …
Well, her classical Chinese was indeed a weakness.
Tao Shushu opened the paper and casually scanned it; it seemed the system had improved compared to yesterday.
Yesterday, it didn’t know much about the lifestyle of Blue Star humans, but today it had even investigated her shortcomings and even knew her entrance exam scores.
She had never mentioned her situation, which indicated that the system infiltrated the school’s grading system behind her back to collect and analyze data.
The learning speed of artificial intelligence was really not weak. However, she had the instruction manual so she wasn’t afraid.
Tao Shushu finished complaining and began to look at the questions seriously. [Oh, you only said full marks, but you didn’t say that I couldn’t look up reference books first, nor did it say that I couldn’t look up information while doing it. Is that right?]
System:[I will definitely fix the bug next time.]
Tao Shushu chuckled, picked up her pen, set the countdown, and began to work on the problems.
Her Chinese grades weren’t very good, but she excelled in writing and always managed to get full marks on papers. However, she was at a loss when it came to questions such as classical Chinese that required literary literacy and accumulation.
The question paper she opened, like most exam questions in classical Chinese, had three multiple-choice questions that tested the meaning of content words, the use of function words, and the understanding of the entire text, plus a sentence segmentation question and a translation question.
Tao Shushu thought again and again, but only the function word questions were correct.
At the end of the timer, she opened the reference answer book and carefully corrected it.
She wasn’t upset that she only got one point this time. The first test paper was a test of her own abilities. She just needed to find the shortcomings and work hard to correct them.
Tao Shushu looked at the cub on the screen and let out a sigh of relief. She didn’t rush to do the exercises anymore but used a notebook to pick and organize all the knowledge points of classical Chinese that she had just learned. Then she opened the Chinese textbook and classical Chinese reference book and started learning.
She occasionally glanced at her phone.
On the screen, Nan Yuan gradually fell asleep and pulled the blanket, revealing his head.
Inside and outside the screen, one slept while the other focused on solving problems.
They were both very quiet.
When the first ray of sunlight shone on the earth, Nan Yuan had already woken up.
He struggled to survive alone on the barren planet, always keeping a watchful eye. The strings in his mind were always taut, and occasionally squinting even counted as a luxury.
But after that person appeared, he had slept twice, which was rare.
Nan Yuan placed his hand on his forehead.
He was a little annoyed; how could he really fall asleep? Last night she stubbornly held down the quilt and insisted that he use it.
To avoid embarrassment, Nan Yuan covered himself with the quilt.
The heat on his cheeks refused to go down, and Nan Yuan was afraid she would notice, so he covered his face too. He wanted to stick his head out after she stopped looking at him, but she actually started patting his back.
It was like when his mother lulled him to sleep during his childhood.
Nan Yuan subconsciously fell asleep.
He slept for a long time and even felt like staying in bed.
It was as if he had gone back to a time before the end of the world, where he woke up before the alarm clock, so he laid in bed, peacefully waiting for his parents to call him.
Looking back, the apocalypse was just something that happened six months ago.
Nan Yuan only gave himself two minutes.
He had no opportunity to indulge or relax; the apocalypse was equally cruel to all living beings.
Nan Yuan stood up and tidied up the quilt.
He hesitated for a moment, then he took away the engine oil that had caused a misunderstanding, folded the blanket and put it away. The fruits he picked were no longer fresh.
After thinking for a moment, Nan Yuan packed his equipment, got off the car and walked into the woods. He remembered catching a glimpse of an area with red fruits last night.
His movements were very light. Although he didn’t know where the person was or if they were sleeping in the car, he couldn’t help but minimize his movements; he didn’t want to disturb her.
Tao Shushu finished organizing her study materials and looked up to see the cub holding many red fruits as he climbed onto the car.
The cub had woken up.
Tao Shushu rubbed Nan Yuan’s head.
Their parking spot wasn’t spacious, and it wasn’t a safe camping site.
The cub got into the car and continued driving forward.
Tao Shushu checked the time and found that there was still one and a half hours left for practicing classical Chinese, which was enough.
She browsed through her notes again, opened a test paper, and started working diligently.
Fifteen minutes later, Tao Shushu stopped writing, opened the answer sheet, and realized that the multiple-choice questions were wrong and the sentences were incorrect.
She sorted out her mistakes and opened the second one.
The second test paper examined the exact knowledge points that Tao Shushu had organized, and Tao Shushu’s first perfect score appeared.
But she still looked at the answer sheet and marked down all the words that she didn’t understand when she looked at the questions. Then, she turned to the third set of questions.
This was the three-process loop of writing questions, correcting them, and making mistakes.
After reaching the deadline, Tao Shushu completed a total of eight sets of real exam papers, four of which were all correct, so she received a total of four rewards.
[Congratulations! Your proficiency in classical Chinese has greatly improved. Rewards are currently being distributed, including X4 Sobriety Cards and X40 Gold Coins, which have been credited to your account.]
Tao Shushu lazily studied all morning, but it still exhausted her.
But her sense of achievement was also high. She never thought she could answer all classical Chinese questions correctly.
Tao Shushu looked at the screen and saw that the cub had parked the car in an open area; he made a fire and began grilling meat.
She was also a little hungry.
Tao Shushu quickly went downstairs to have lunch.
Seeing that the cub seemed to have prepared enough food for her, Tao Shushu picked up a leaf and repeated the same technique, preparing to draw and communicate with the cub.
