The cub had found a backpack from somewhere, and the fisherman’s sun hat was properly stored in the backpack and held in front of him.
His sleeping posture was very upright, indicating that he was a well-educated person. Tao Shushu wondered tenderly; she didn’t know who the cub used to be and how he ended up on this barren planet.
Tao Shushu didn’t touch the cub, fearing she’d wake him up.
She added two firewood to the almost finished fire and checked the traps at the entrance of the cave.
Tao Shushu calculated that when she first saw the cub, it was morning. Now it was evening on her end, and it was already late on the cub’s end.
The time flow in the game was faster than that in Blue Star. She spent one day in Blue Star, while the little one spent two days working.
That meant if she played the game again before going to bed, she should be able to see the cub wake up.
Just as Tao Shushu watched the cub sleep with relish, the system came online.
System: [Your score has been corrected. The score is 100 points. For the last question, the reference answer is 30 lines long, but you only wrote 10 lines.]
[I modeled it using the rotation theorem.] Tao Shushu came up with her own solution and reference answer.
What was more, she didn’t even have to look up the answers in the book, which made it convenient for her.
Tao Shushu confirmed that her solution was correct then she took a draft paper to write down the reference answers.
After checking the time, Tao Shushu felt that she could go through another one.
[I suggest focusing on learning English and Chinese. The female lead’s goal is to be the first in the monthly exam. If you lag behind in these two weak subjects, you will not be able to surpass her.]
[What do you mean? Have you accepted that I can learn more than the female lead and attack her system?]
System: [I have downloaded the English dictionary, English textbook, and English listening. Which do you want to start with first?]
[System, you’re so serious.] Tao Shushu stopped teasing it.
Huiwen Middle School had monthly exams, and in the past, Tao Shushu’s grade ranking always hovered around 4th place. After all, she excelled in science, but her Chinese and English were at a disadvantage.
Tao Shushu took out an English reading comprehension book and prepared to start practicing.
[The accuracy rate of English reading comprehension has reached 90%, and the reward is 30 game coins and 1 basic sobriety card.] The system prompted.
After setting a fifteen-minute timer, Tao Shushu began working on the first paper.
When the alarm clock rang, Tao Shushu nervously filled in the last question with B.
After taking a look at the answer, Tao Shushu realized that she was wrong. The question was a double negative sentence that was, in fact, affirmative. But because the sentence was too long, Tao Shushu got confused.
The system helped Tao Shushu by checking the dictionary: [Your accuracy needs to be improved.]
[Indeed.] Tao Shushu didn’t refute it; she knew English was her weakness.
After correcting her mistakes, Tao Shushu turned to the next article.
She made a mistake on one question, so her current accuracy rate was only 80%. However, if she did another test paper that was completely correct, her accuracy rate could reach 90%.
She got another question wrong, and Tao Shushu calmly opened the third and fourth test papers. In the third and fourth test papers, she finally achieved the goal of a 90% accuracy rate.
[Congratulations to the host for receiving the reward.] The system decided it would be a rigorous task issuing a machine next time. It originally wanted to urge Tao Shushu to study but when Tao Shushu didn’t get all the answers right in one paper, she did four in a row to increase the accuracy rate. Next time, it could stipulate that she had to do eight papers. There could be no lazy people in the world of academic gods.
Tao Shushu didn’t know that her future had been arranged by the system.
She happily picked up her cup, went to fill it with a glass of water, and exercised for a while.
Then she opened the game again.
The cub had finally woken up.
He was standing at the entrance of the cave, holding a particle gun and looking out solemnly.
Nan Yuan woke up midway. He hadn’t slept deeply, so he woke up as soon as he heard the roar of wild beasts outside.
Animals and plants in the wilderness had mutated, and large mutant animals such as lions had eaten up most of the small animals, making food increasingly scarce. Nan Yuan carefully cleared the scent and traces he left behind today, but they were still discovered by a sensitive-nosed beast.
Nan Yuan had already extinguished the bonfire. This cave was created by the surviving humans before, and he wasn’t used to relying on traps with unknown effects. As soon as he woke up, he immediately ran to the entrance of the cave.
But upon closer inspection, he realized that the cave entrance had been reinforced by someone.
The stone that he couldn’t push blocked the door, and even the debris stuck in the trap several meters deep was cleared out.
Did that person help him again? That person came over, and at that time, he was probably still sleeping.
Nan Yuan had already experienced countless life and death battles, but now he felt a rare fear of death.
He wanted to survive.
He wanted to repay this person.
He wanted to know what the other person looked like.
Was it a human, a machine, or a ghost?
He also wanted to avenge his family members who were betrayed and died in pain.
He had too many things he wanted to do.
It would be a pity to know that the person had been here a few hours ago, but he couldn’t even see them before he died.
Nan Yuan clenched the particle gun in his hand.
At this moment, he felt someone poke his back.
Then, a red fruit flew from the stone table to his side.
It was that person who came; Nan Yuan knew in an instant.
