The Reborn Empress Plans to Rebel Chapter 63

Chapter 63: Which Immortal Taught You?

Tang Mi blinked innocently at him: “What, do I have to tell you who I am just because I’m reciting a book?”

Seeing that she was unwilling to answer, Guixi became even more anxious: “No, how exactly did you memorize this book?”

This was a book he himself had compiled. He had never shown it to anyone else. So where on earth did she see it?

“An immortal taught me in a dream,” Tang Mi made up a lie without even blinking, saying it as if it were the truth.

An immortal?

Guixi was baffled again. Which immortal would know about his book? Could it be his own master?

That was impossible. The book was compiled by him; his master had never even seen it. Besides, when his master died, this little girl probably wasn’t even born yet. She couldn’t have met his master.

Could it really be some kind of immortal? But how would an immortal know about his book?

“Girl, what else can you do?” Guixi suddenly looked at Tang Mi excitedly, full of anticipation.

Tang Mi took a sip of the vegetarian soup, then calmly replied, “You mean reciting books?”

Guixi’s eyes lit up immediately and he quickly pulled out another book from his chest: “Can you recite this one?”

Tang Mi didn’t even take the book, just glanced at the title and began reciting:
“The Treatise on Ancient Purity, Chapter One: In the time of the Yellow Emperor, youthful and divine, weak but able to speak, young but able to unify, grown but quick-witted, matured and ascended to heaven…”

Guixi stared blankly at Tang Mi’s red lips. Her mouth opened and closed as she recited a long passage, with every word correct and no pauses or mistakes.

This time, Guixi deliberately didn’t interrupt her and kept listening, wanting to see how far she could go.

Time slowly passed. The little girl didn’t stop talking. After more than an hour, she finished reciting the entire book.

Tang Mi’s mouth was dry from reciting. After finishing, she took a sip of soup and realized it had cooled down. She immediately frowned and put the soup back into the lunchbox.

Guixi stared at Tang Mi for a long time without blinking, then reluctantly pulled out another book from his chest: “Can you recite this one?”

Tang Mi only glanced at the book’s title and recited fluently again, making Guixi look like he had seen a ghost.

Guixi pulled out book after book, and Tang Mi could recite each perfectly just by seeing the title.

Guixi was frustrated and pulling at his hair, looking at Tang Mi like she was some kind of miracle: “How is this possible? You can’t have memorized all these books!”

His books had never been circulated. Even an immortal wouldn’t know them, much less recite them by heart like that.

Not only was Guixi stunned, but even Ye Chenxuan, hidden in the shadows, was a bit dumbfounded.

He hadn’t expected the girl to be so good at reciting books, especially that old man’s medical texts. Seeing Guixi’s shocked expression, those books probably hadn’t been read by anyone else. So where did she memorize all this? He didn’t believe in any immortals.

Tang Mi didn’t answer Guixi’s questions. She slowly packed up her things, grabbed her lunchbox, and stood up: “I have to go. You can keep the fire.”

Seeing Tang Mi was about to leave, Guixi panicked and immediately grabbed her leg: “No, little girl, you can’t leave. You have to tell this old man where you got these books from. If I don’t find out, this old man won’t be able to rest in peace!”

Tang Mi looked at him helplessly and said, “I really was taught by an immortal. But you don’t believe me even if I say so.”

“I believe you!” Guixi still held her leg tightly: “Which immortal taught you? Next time I want to ask him how he knows about this old man’s books.”

He didn’t really believe in immortals either, but now he had no choice but to.

Tang Mi’s clever eyes twinkled as she gave him an innocent look: “I don’t know which immortal he is, I only know he’s an old man, looks…”

Tang Mi sized Guixi up from head to toe, then said seriously: “Kind of like you. Hair’s about the same, clothes are about the same, and even the way he talks is about the same.”

Lastly, Tang Mi added: “Oh, and he’s especially greedy for food, that’s also like you.”

Guixi stared blankly at Tang Mi for a long moment before pointing at his own nose: “Little girl, you can’t be the old man in your dream, can you?”

Guixi said this, and Tang Mi actually looked at his face carefully several times, then puckered her lips and shook her head: “The mist in the dream was too thick, I couldn’t see his face clearly.”

Just as Guixi felt a bit hopeful, Tang Mi continued: “But he said these books were written by him, unique in the world. He also said he was an immortal who could teach me many things.”

Upon hearing this, Guixi instantly got angry: “Nonsense! These books were obviously written by this old man!”

After realizing what she said, he frowned: “Wait, that means you really are dreaming about the old man!”

Tang Mi pursed her lips and didn’t reply.

Guixi got anxious again and asked, “Then tell me, what else did he teach you?”

Tang Mi coquettishly raised her brow: “Why should I tell you?”

Guixi got anxious again and flopped on the ground, hugging her leg and whining: “Tell this old man! If you don’t, this old man won’t be able to rest in peace!”

Tang Mi’s forehead immediately got a line of black marks. She helplessly rubbed her temple.

Her master was acting like a sick old child again. Who else but her could make him so clingy?

Tang Mi glanced down at her stubborn master, then finally gave in: “He taught me medicine. He said he was a divine doctor.”

Divine doctor!!!

Guixi’s eyes immediately went wide. That divine doctor had to be him! He was the divine doctor!

“The sky’s getting late, I have to go,” Tang Mi said, then carried her lunchbox and left.

Guixi snapped out of it and shouted after her: “Hey, little girl, will you come again tomorrow?”

He hadn’t even finished asking, what kind of medical skills did the divine doctor teach her?

Up ahead, Tang Mi didn’t respond.

Guixi anxiously shouted again with a twisted face: “You have to come tomorrow! This old man will be waiting for you here!”

He still had a whole bunch of questions unanswered. Tomorrow was destined to be a sleepless night!

Listening to her master’s shouting, Tang Mi couldn’t help but smile slightly.

She would come tomorrow. What should she prepare for her master? Maybe some vegetarian mixed dishes and mushroom soup. And maybe steam a basket of vegetable buns.

Thinking about tomorrow’s meeting, Tang Mi’s steps became even lighter.

Hidden in the shadows, Ye Chenxuan watched Tang Mi’s happy expression and raised his eyebrows.

She must be coming here tomorrow to wait for the old man. What for? Maybe tomorrow will have the answer.
