The Reborn Sweet Wife: President Fu Can’t Control Himself Chapter 8

Chapter 8

“I’m legally married to Fu Jinghan. Isn’t it normal for us to be on good terms? As for that Wei Yang you mentioned—I don’t know him, and I don’t care who he is.”

“But you, dear sister, you sure say his name quite fluently. Honestly, I think you two are a perfect match.”

Ji Nuannuan’s gaze landed on Ji Xinxin, carrying a trace of cold mockery.

Ji Xinxin’s face turned deathly pale in an instant. She clearly hadn’t expected Ji Nuannuan to respond like this.

In the past, Ji Nuannuan would do whatever she said the moment she brought up Wei Yang’s name. But now? She was outright denying even knowing him?

And even suggesting she and Wei Yang were a good match?

An unsettling feeling rose in Ji Xinxin’s chest—but she quickly dismissed it.

There must be some misunderstanding or some reason for this, she told herself. Her expression returned to normal.

Seeing Ji Xinxin’s expression shift, Ji Nuannuan sneered coldly inside.

“Wait, what’s that saying again—something about dogs and forever?” Ji Nuannuan tapped her forehead, pretending to be deep in thought.

“Agh, how do you not know that? It’s ‘a b*tch and a dog, forever bound…'” Ji Xinxin, eager to prove she knew more than Ji Nuannuan, blurted it out before she could stop herself.

Halfway through the sentence, she froze, eyes wide in shock—realizing she’d walked right into Ji Nuannuan’s trap.

Ji Nuannuan and the house staff, whom Ji Xinxin had always looked down upon, all burst into laughter.

Watching them laugh till they were nearly breathless, Ji Xinxin suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach—pure rage!

She’d thought her plan was foolproof—but the way things were unfolding was completely out of her control.

Before Ji Xinxin could come up with a response, Ji Nuannuan took a half step back and signaled to the maids to close the living room doors.

With a loud “bang,” the doors shut tight—Ji Xinxin was locked out.

Standing outside, she called toward the living room in desperation:

“Sis! You must have your reasons! Don’t worry, I won’t be mad at you!”

But no one responded.

Left with no choice, Ji Xinxin stomped off, reluctantly.

The walkway from the living room to the gate of Four Seasons Courtyard was long.

As Ji Xinxin walked, she noticed the servants staring at her. She assumed it was because her meticulously chosen outfit had dazzled them.

That vain little satisfaction rose again in her heart.

But when she remembered that she’d gone to all this trouble dressing up for Fu Jinghan—and now only the servants had gotten an eyeful—she felt another wave of disappointment.

“Hmph, a bunch of country bumpkins,” she muttered.

Still, her body seemed to enjoy the attention. She swayed her hips more dramatically as she walked out the door.

Reaching her car, her driver stepped out and opened the door for her—but couldn’t help staring, completely stunned.

A glorious view.

The water stains on her clothes had turned into translucent lines, creating a visual divide across the fabric—everything underneath was practically visible.

Ji Xinxin followed the driver’s gaze down—and the next moment, outside the quiet villa gates, came a bloodcurdling scream.

“AAAH! Ji Nuannuan! You bitch!!”

Inside Four Seasons Courtyard.

Ji Nuannuan, having just taken out the trash (literally and figuratively), was in a great mood, humming as she walked.

🎶 “Today is a good day—everything’s going my way~” 🎶

Auntie Zhang, seeing how happy she seemed, couldn’t help but step forward.

“Madam, don’t blame me for speaking out of turn, but this time, you did the right thing not letting that woman in.”

“Every time she visited, you’d get into a huge fight with the Young Master afterward.”

“We all felt she was instigating you. And honestly… she seemed to have intentions toward the Young Master. Every time she came, she’d dress like…”

She didn’t finish the sentence, but Ji Nuannuan understood.

Seeing Zhang Ma’s worried face but still willing to speak out, Ji Nuannuan was touched—she was genuinely concerned for her.

“You’re right, Auntie Zhang. She was the one influencing me.”

“I only fought with Fu Jinghan because I listened to her. Now that I understand her real intentions, I won’t be fooled again.”

“Auntie Zhang, don’t worry. I’ll get along with Fu Jinghan from now on.”

“Oh, good, good!” Zhang Ma happily took Ji Nuannuan’s hand, unable to hide her joy.

“Now go make dinner. Fu Jinghan should be back soon. And honestly, your cooking is still the best.”

Ji Nuannuan beamed sweetly. Her praise made Zhang Ma grin as she bustled off to the kitchen.

Watching the sky grow darker, Ji Nuannuan dialed Fu Jinghan’s number.

She called once, twice, again and again—but no one picked up.

A trace of unease crept into her heart.

Just then, Ye Fan came in from outside, carrying something as he headed upstairs—likely something for Fu Jinghan’s study.

Ji Nuannuan hurried to catch up.

“Where’s Fu Jinghan? Why hasn’t he come home yet?”

Ye Fan glanced at her coldly, tone full of sarcasm.

“Oh? The busy lady finally remembered our Master Fu? Not scheming with your dear sister anymore?”

“What sister? What scheme?” Ji Nuannuan was completely confused by his mocking tone.

“You think Fu Jinghan doesn’t know? Wasn’t Second Miss Ji here to brainstorm new tactics with you?”

Only then did Ji Nuannuan realize—Fu Jinghan must’ve known Ji Xinxin had come by, and assumed they were up to something again.

But now he wasn’t answering his phone—and she had no way to explain.

“I can’t explain it all to you. Where is Fu Jinghan? I need to see him.”

“He doesn’t want to see you. Just let him go already, will you? Stop slapping him with one hand and feeding him sugar with the other. Haven’t you lied to him enough?”

“How much more pain do you want him to endure?” Ye Fan snapped.

But Ji Nuannuan was desperate.

“If you won’t tell me where he is, fine—I’ll go look for him myself. But if something happens to me while I’m out there, you think Fu Jinghan will just let it go?”

She didn’t want to threaten him, but she had no other choice. She had to clear things up with Fu Jinghan.

As expected, Ye Fan hesitated. If something did happen to her, Fu Jinghan would definitely kill him.

After a pause, Ye Fan finally relented.

“I’ll take you. But don’t you upset him again.”

“Spare me the lecture. Let’s go.”

Ye Fan drove Ji Nuannuan to a bar.

“He’s inside.”

Ji Nuannuan got out and headed straight in.

The bar’s lights flickered. It was lavishly decorated—but she had no time to admire it.

After some searching, she finally found the private room Ye Fan mentioned.

Just as she was about to open the door, she heard the voices of a few men from inside.

“Come on, Fu—why the long face? You’re here with us now. I’ll get you some girls—each one hotter than the last.”

“Mo An, are you crazy? Bringing women in front of Fu? Don’t you know… he can’t?”
