Chapter 11: “Baby, did you miss me already after just a little while?”
After leaving Yan Kui’s private mansion, Tang Zhishu went to the mall, bought a new outfit, and changed into it. She then headed to a public restroom to remove her makeup before hurrying off to Huashuo. It is the largest hospital in Dilan Country.
Thinking about the message she saw earlier, Tang Zhishu’s face grew dark and frightening.
Ten minutes later, Tang Zhishu arrived at the hospital.
Stepping out of her car, she walked into the hospital and headed straight to the elevator, pressing the button for the tenth floor.
As soon as the elevator doors opened on the tenth floor, the sound of a loud argument filled the air.
Looking up, Tang Zhishu saw a crowd gathered at the nurse’s station across the way.
Amid the group, she recognized two familiar figures.
“Damn you ugly jerk, Tang Xin, if you’ve got the guts, stop hiding behind people. I’ll flatten that nose job of yours!” Tang Weiwen, who was about to charge at her, had rolled up her sleeves but was held back by two bodyguards. While shouting, she kept trying to rush at Tang Xin, who was hiding behind her own bodyguards.
Tang Xin wore a smug, arrogant expression. She stared down Tang Weiwen with a mocking smirk and said haughtily, “Tang Weiwen, you look just like a dog trailing behind Tang Zhishu. Do you think that just because your last name is Tang, you’re part of the Tang family? You’re nothing more than a stray dog Tang Zhishu picked up from the streets, and yet you dare to mouth off at me?”
Before Tang Weiwen could react, Tang Sumei, who had been maintaining a graceful and elegant image in front of everyone, suddenly turned cold.
Her bright red lips curled into a cold smile, and with a clear, bell-like voice, she instructed the bodyguards behind her, “Clear the area.”
As soon as Tang Sumei spoke, the muscular bodyguards moved swiftly. Without much fuss, they “escorted” all the onlookers away, even taking down Tang Xin’s two bodyguards with ease and dragging them away like garbage.
The scene quieted down quickly, leaving only Tang Sumei, Tang Weiwen, Tang Xin, and her mother, Chen Jingqi.
Chen Jingqi, dressed like a wealthy lady, seemed a bit apprehensive after what had just happened, but mostly she was furious. She glared at Tang Sumei’s charming, youthful face. Though they were both in their forties, Tang Sumei still looked like she was in her twenties—young and beautiful.
Her face twisted with jealousy and resentment, Chen Jingqi angrily said, “Tang Sumei, what is the meaning of this? I’m still your sister-in-law, after all. Your people attacked my daughter, and I haven’t even come after you for that, yet you dare come to the hospital to bully us? Do you not care about your brother anymore?”
Facing Chen Jingqi’s anger, Tang Sumei gave a seductive smile and gracefully placed her expensive designer handbag, worth hundreds of thousands, on the nurse’s station.
Then, with her captivating fox-like eyes gazing at Chen Jingqi, a smirk formed on her lips as she spoke, “What do I mean? Since you don’t get it, let me explain it to you right now.”
As soon as Tang Sumei finished speaking, the gentle and elegant woman from before was revealed to be nothing more than an act. In an instant, her demeanor changed, becoming fierce and intimidating.
Before Chen Jingqi and Tang Xin could react, Tang Sumei strode over to Tang Xin and, with the hand that had just received a fresh manicure, delivered a harsh slap across Tang Xin’s face.
Smack!
Tang Xin’s head was forced to the side, and she stood there, completely stunned.
Chen Jingqi was also shocked by what she saw, only regaining her senses after a long moment.
Once she did, Chen Jingqi lost her mind, rushing forward to brawl with Tang Sumei, ignoring everything else.
The two women grabbed each other’s hair, pulling and yanking while shouting insults at each other.
“Tang Sumei, I’ve put up with you long enough! It’s bad enough your daughter is ugly, but that filthy mouth of hers is even worse! Does she think she can insult my Weiwen? I don’t care who tries to stop me today, I’m going to teach you both a lesson!”
Chen Jingqi was well aware of how fierce Tang Sumei could be in a fight—she had experienced it firsthand more than once.
Her freshly styled hair, done not long ago, was now a mess, and the pain in her scalp made her wince.
Chen Jingqi cried out in pain, trying to resist, but she was no match for Tang Sumei.
“Tang Sumei, you vile woman! No matter how high-class you pretend to be, in the end, you’re nothing but a discarded toy who had someone else’s bastard child! Ah…”
Slap!
The sharp sound of a slap echoed through the room.
“Very good, Chen Jingqi, you’ve really made me angry now.”
Now truly enraged, Tang Sumei didn’t hold back anymore, repeatedly slapping Chen Jingqi across the face.
Everyone knew that Tang Sumei’s bottom line was her two children.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Tang Xin, hearing her mother’s screams, finally snapped out of her daze. Clutching her throbbing cheek, she let out a furious shriek and charged at Tang Weiwen.
Seeing Tang Xin rush at her, Tang Weiwen grinned, ready to fight back.
But just then, a slender, fair hand suddenly grabbed Tang Xin’s wrist.
In the next moment, Tang Zhishu mercilessly flung Tang Xin away.
“Ah—”
Tang Xin crashed to the ground with a scream, clutching her backside in pain as she lay there, her face contorted in agony.
Seeing Tang Zhishu finally arrive, Tang Weiwen’s eyes lit up with excitement, and she shouted, “Sis, you’re finally back!”
Tang Zhishu’s gaze fell on the 17-year-old Tang Weiwen beside her. She reached out and ruffled her neatly cut, stylish short hair with a slight smile on her lips. “Mm.”
Overjoyed at her sister’s return, Tang Weiwen immediately grabbed her wrist and said, “Sis, yesterday that ugly pig Tang Xin sneaked into your room and tried to burn the only photo of you and brother! Luckily, I caught her and got the photo back, but she still managed to burn a bit of it.”
Tang Weiwen looked at Tang Zhishu with guilt in her eyes.
Tang Zhishu’s face turned ice-cold.
At that moment, she glanced at Tang Xin, who was still lying on the ground groaning in pain, her gaze cold and piercing.
The moment Tang Xin met her eyes, she began to shiver in fear, trembling uncontrollably as she screamed, “Mom! Mom, help me!”
Hearing her precious daughter’s cry for help, Chen Jingqi tried to rush over, but she couldn’t break free, still being held by Tang Sumei as she continued to beat her.
All she could do was watch helplessly as Tang Zhishu walked toward her daughter.
“Didn’t I warn you many times not to go into my room? Not to touch my things? Especially not my brother’s photo. Why are you so stubborn?”
With a dark, icy expression, Tang Zhishu stood towering over Tang Xin.
