Chapter 2: “Yan Kui Carries Her to the Bathroom”
A few hours later.
A helicopter descended on an expansive, luxurious place, its rotors whipping up gusts of powerful wind.
Soon after, a gangway extended from the cabin door, and a tall, dignified man, carrying a struggling girl in his arms, stepped down.
The maids, who had already lined up respectfully, were all so startled by the sight before them that they immediately lowered their heads, not daring to even breathe loudly.
Both of them were soaked through. Yan Kui strode toward the villa, carrying Tang Zhishu in his arms.
Shivering from the cold, Tang Zhishu struggled with all her might, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t break free from Yan Kui’s strong and slender arms.
It wasn’t long before Yan Kui carried her into the bedroom’s bathroom.
Without warning, he roughly tossed her into a bathtub filled with warm water.
The splash was so big that water sprayed everywhere, with a few droplets even landing in her mouth.
“What the hell are you doing, Yan Kui?” Tang Zhishu , drenched and looking like a frightened bird, instinctively covered her chest and leaned back against the edge of the tub, glaring warily at the incredibly handsome yet intensely cold man standing before her.
Yan Kui, standing tall at six foot three, looked down at her.
His pitch-black eyes were as cold as a frosty moon, staring at her with an expressionless face.
Suddenly, his tall, regal figure slowly crouched down, resting his long, well-defined fingers casually on the edge of the tub.
Something seemed to flicker faintly in the depths of his deep-set eyes.
“Still trying to run?” His thin lips parted slightly, his gaze locked onto her small face. His voice was icy, devoid of emotion.
Looking into his dark, cold eyes, the humiliation of her failed escape made Tang Zhishu ’s expression harden with defiance.
Biting back her anger, she glared at him furiously. “You’re despicable and cunning.”
Yan Kui raised his brow slightly, a faint smirk playing on his sensuous lips as his brooding voice held a trace of amusement. “Are you talking about yourself?”
Tang Zhishu : “…”
Angered and embarrassed, the girl, her graceful figure as swift as a panther, suddenly lashed out, attacking the man in front of her.
Yan Kui’s cold eyes narrowed.
Her movements were fast and precise, but even so, Yan Kui easily caught her with one hand.
The next second, his strong, lean body suddenly stepped into the bathtub.
He pressed down on her petite frame with dominating force.
In the tub, both their bodies were submerged and soaked by the clear, warm water…
Yan Kui easily subdued the girl beneath him, his gaze cold and grim as he stared at her. He let out a chilling laugh. “Did you think I’d let you escape from me again like before?”
The moment Yan Kui stepped into the tub, his overwhelming masculine presence enveloped her.
Tang Zhishu hesitated for a moment, dazed by his impossibly handsome face so close to hers.
She couldn’t deny it—this man had the power to make any girl swoon over him.
Though she was a sucker for a good-looking face, her sense of self-preservation was stronger than her attraction.
“Come on, it’s not like I did anything that bad. I just accidentally barged into your bathroom and saw you, touched you a little. Do you really need to hold a grudge this long? If it bothers you that much, I’ll let you see and touch me back, deal?”
Tang Zhishu narrowed her eyes, gritting her teeth as she glared at him.
It was just two years ago during a mission when she had accidentally entered his hotel room and happened to catch him in the shower. Yet this man had been hunting her down for two years over such a trivial matter.
But to her surprise, Yan Kui actually seemed to be considering her words.
Just when Tang Zhishu thought he might agree, the man’s slender, graceful fingers suddenly gripped her delicate chin, his voice laced with danger. “Are you sure all you did was take a look and touch me?”
Faced with the man’s dangerous question, Tang Zhishu swallowed nervously.
Alright, fine. The truth was, last night, after getting drunk, she had ended up sleeping with him…
Before yesterday, when she came to attend her best friend Jiang Jinyan’s wedding, she had never imagined that Yan Kui would turn out to be one of Mo Jinhan, Jiang Jinyan’s fiancé, close brothers.
And faced with this man who had been chasing her for so long, she had a sudden stroke of genius and came up with a plan.
She proposed that until the wedding of her best friend and his close brother was over, neither of them would interfere with each other. But once the wedding was over, the deal would be off, and whether he could catch her or she could escape would depend on their abilities.
At first, it seemed like no big deal—after all, it wasn’t the first time she had escaped from him.
But of all things, last night, while they were out celebrating for Jiang Jinyan and Mo Jinhang, she got drunk again and accidentally stumbled into his room. And this time, she ended up sleeping with him.
Alcohol truly is a dangerous thing—it causes all sorts of trouble.
“Now that you’ve caught me, just spell it out—what do you want?” Tang Zhishu stared at his heart-stirringly handsome face.
The face was nice, sure, but the man? Way too petty.
Tang Zhishu grumbled inwardly.
Hearing her words, Yan Kui raised an eyebrow, his cold eyes gazing deeply at her stunningly beautiful face.
After a few seconds, the man’s finely shaped lips curled slightly as he said, “I haven’t decided yet.”
“What the hell does ‘I haven’t decided yet’ mean? So you’re not planning to let me go, is that it?” Tang Zhishu couldn’t help but curse.
For some reason, seeing her angry like this seemed to brighten his mood.
His lips curved slightly as he lazily replied, “As long as nothing unexpected happens, yes, that’s the plan.”
Tang Zhishu ‘s eyes widened, her expression shifting between disbelief and rage.
Yan Kui, seeing her reaction, smiled even more.
By now, Tang Zhishu could tell he was doing this on purpose.
But even if she tried to use force, there was no way she could escape right now.
Since fighting wasn’t an option, maybe she could try another approach.
With that thought, she slowly lifted her slender, pale hands and wrapped them around his neck, softening her tone as she pleaded with him, “I know I was wrong and did foolish things before, but there has to be a way to make it up to you, right? What do I need to do for you to let me go? I’m still so young. If you lock me up here for the rest of my life, I’ll go insane.”
By the time she finished speaking, Tang Zhishu had managed to put on a pitiful expression.
Yan Kui’s eyes darkened as he quietly stared at her, his thoughts unreadable.
Seeing this, Tang Zhishu bit her lip and thought, “Might as well risk it.”
The next moment, she tightened her grip around his neck, pulling his head down. Then, she leaned in and pressed her soft, sweet lips against his cool, thin ones…
For a split second, Yan Kui froze, his cold, moon-like eyes glinting with a clear, icy light.
