Chapter 31: “Tang Zhishu: I Really Want to Bite You to Death”
Tang Zhishu felt uneasy under his intense gaze.
As she thought, her hands instinctively traced circles on his chest, like a little kitten scratching around.
Yan Kui’s body stiffened instantly, and his expression darkened as he looked at the girl beneath him.
Tang Zhishu was unaware of the change in his gaze. She frowned, torn between whether or not to tell him.
Or maybe…
She could just make up some excuse to get past it?
But just as that thought crossed her mind, Yan Kui’s cold voice interrupted her.
“Trying to fool me?”
Tang Zhishu was speechless. Was he a mind reader?
She pouted at him. “Can’t I fool you just this once?”
Yan Kui smirked, “Nope.”
Tang Zhishu immediately showed her white teeth, looking like she wanted to bite him.
“I really want to bite you to death!”
Yan Kui raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his eyes. “Then go ahead and try. Let’s see who bites who.”
As he said this, his gaze fell on Tang Zhishu’s injured lips.
She suddenly felt a sharp sting from her wound and glared at him fiercely. “Are you a dog or something?”
Yan Kui chuckled, a lazy expression on his face. “No, I told you, I’m a wolf. A wolf that eats people.”
He raised a long, pale finger and gently traced the cut on her lip. His voice was a bit hoarse. “Do you need me to prove it again?”
Tang Zhishu quickly backed down. “No, that’s not necessary.”
Yan Kui smiled slightly, continuing to lazily stroke her lips with his finger. He asked slowly, “So, can you tell me what this is all about?”
Tang Zhishu glared at him and frowned. “Can you promise me to keep it a secret?”
Yan Kui stared at her for two seconds. “Yeah.”
After thinking for a moment, Tang Zhishu finally spoke. “I want to get close to him because I suspect he’s my younger brother, who suddenly went missing nineteen years ago.”
Yan Kui narrowed his eyes. “Brother?”
Tang Zhishu nodded, her expression sad as she spoke of her brother. “Yes, I have a twin brother who went missing nineteen years ago. No matter how hard I’ve looked over that years, I can’t find him.
But coincidentally, at my grandfather’s birthday party, I accidentally bumped into a man named Fu Yushen. At first, I just had my suspicions, but after investigating, I found that he could very likely be my brother.”
Upon hearing this, Yan Kui pondered for a moment before asking, “So, you just entered his room to get his DNA?”
When it came to this, Tang Zhishu’s anger flared up again. She ground her teeth. “What else? You ruined everything!”
Facing her anger, Yan Kui felt a moment of embarrassment. He cleared his throat and said, “Sorry, I didn’t know that was the case.”
Tang Zhishu shot him a glare and retorted, “What did you think? Did you really think I joined this show to find a man?”
At first, she was just saying it out of anger, but to her surprise, Yan Kui nodded. “Yeah, I actually thought that before.”
Tang Zhishu: “…”
“What does it matter to you if I’m looking for a man?”
“Doesn’t matter? You slept with me and then you want to go find another man?” Yan Kui’s expression turned cold instantly.
Tang Zhishu: “… You can’t be seriously want me to be responsible for you, right?”
Yan Kui smirked, his cold gaze fixed on her. “Why not?”
Tang Zhishu swallowed hard. “No, that’s not necessary. You have so many women chasing you. Besides, I didn’t even gain anything. I’m still a virgin, and you just took advantage of me like a wolf!”
The man couldn’t help but laugh in anger. “It is necessary! Since I took advantage of you, we should be responsible to each other.”
Tang Zhishu looked a bit speechless. “… Isn’t that a bit too complicated?”
“Fine, you can just be responsible to me.” Yan Kui said casually.
Tang Zhishu: “…”
Seeing her unwilling expression, Yan Kui suddenly leaned down, their lips only a few centimeters apart. “Stop thinking about escaping. It’s useless. I can promise you that as long as you don’t run away, I won’t do anything to you.”
Besides, she was still his fiancée.
Thinking of this, a strange glint passed through Yan Kui’s eyes.
He couldn’t let her know about the engagement just yet; otherwise, with her personality, she’d probably run even farther away from him.
Tang Zhishu brightened up at his words, looking at him skeptically. “Really? You’re not lying to me?”
Yan Kui nodded. “Really.”
Tang Zhishu squinted. “Then you swear, if you’re lying to me, you’re a dog!”
Yan Kui: “… Fine, I swear, if I lie to you, I’m a dog.”
After all, biologically, dogs and wolves belong to the same species.
Tang Zhishu was unaware of the man’s cunning thoughts.
Hearing him swear, she finally smiled broadly.
“Alright, alright, you can get up now. By the way, what did you eat to grow so heavy? You’re squishing my chest flat.” She pushed him away with disgust.
Yan Kui: “…”
He lowered his gaze to her chest, pressing his thin lips together, saying nothing.
But his eyes were filled with darkness.
Yan Kui was pushed away, and they both lay on the same bed.
Tang Zhishu rubbed her sore chest, while Yan Kui rested one hand behind his head.
They both stared at the dark ceiling.
“Are we still going over there?” Yan Kui asked.
Tang Zhishu turned her head to glare at him, mocking, “What do you want to go over there for? Afraid people don’t know who stormed out just now?”
Yan Kui: “…”
“Well, if we’re not going over, then let’s sleep.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Yan Kui turned on his side, his long arm wrapping around Tang Zhishu, pulling her into his embrace.
She was startled, raising her hands to protect her chest, watching him warily. “Hey, hey, hey, your bed is over there.”
Yan Kui closed his eyes, his slightly tired voice saying, “I’m too lazy to go over there.”
“Then let me go, and I’ll sleep over there.” Tang Zhishu frowned.
Yan Kui replied indifferently, “I don’t want to.”
Tang Zhishu cursed, “Damn, you’re such a rogue.”
“Don’t curse, go to sleep.”
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll sleep with you again?”
“Then you can try.”
“…”
On the other side.
The sound of running water came from the bathroom.
In the bedroom, wearing a sexy nightgown, Tang Xin stood by the window, posing seductively as she admired her reflection in the glass.
But suddenly, as she lifted her hips, she caught sight of a white figure standing not far behind her in the window’s reflection.
Tang Xin screamed in fright and quickly turned around to look.
But there was nothing there, and the white figure was gone.
Tang Xin swallowed hard, feeling scared.
Thinking of the deaths that had occurred there, she panicked and turned to find Song Fengcheng.
But before she could take a step, she felt someone pat her shoulder…
