Chapter 3: Blood Jade Space

After landing from the rooftop, the small figure moved so fast that only afterimages could be seen, darting among the crowd.

*Pa, pa, pa*—only the sounds of slaps echoed in the air, yet no one could see the person’s movements clearly. Wherever Zhuang Jin passed, there were only afterimages. Everyone’s faces were slapped and instantly swelled up like pig heads, unrecognizable even to their own mothers.

*Bang, bang, bang*—after the slapping spree, the people from Zhang Family Village stood there dumbfounded, as if they were either scared silly or had been immobilized by some spell, blankly watching Zhuang Jin cackle strangely twice before pouncing back.

With one kick each, they were sent flying. One person was even kicked into Aunt Chen’s outhouse next door.

Miserable screams rang out incessantly.

Zhuang Xiaohu’s Wife, Zhao Ling, hurriedly called for seven or eight helpers. When they entered the courtyard, they saw the skinny and frail Zhuang Jin gleefully abusing people.

Instantly, they were dumbfounded!

Stunned!

“How is it? Am I handsome?” The little girl flicked her messy hair from her forehead with her left hand, raising her eyebrows as she asked. It was still the old, male voice. Then—then, the person moved his left hand down from his hair and stuck it into his nostril, picking out nose boogers—

Everyone: “—”

Chen Xingwang, the son of Aunt Chen next door, stared with his simple, honest eyes, admiringly nodding at Zhuang Jin: “Handsome! Ajin is amazing! Ajin is mighty!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhuang Jin on the rooftop moved again. This time, the targets were Granny Zhang and her daughter.

Upon seeing this, Granny Zhang and her daughter were so frightened that they covered their heads and scurried away, howling.

Granny Zhang and her daughter fled all over the courtyard, while little Zhuang Jin chased after them unhurriedly, having a great time. In the middle of it all, she even cheerfully started dancing the Yangge.

After chasing them for a dozen laps, the little girl seemed to have had enough fun. She smacked her lips and forced the two to stop, using the same old trick of raising her palms and slapping them left and right—

Then, adjusting her direction, she kicked them away one by one—

“Goal! Great shot! Heh heh heh—let’s have another one!”

Then, from Aunt Chen’s outhouse next door, a hopeless wail echoed: “Ahhh—damn it, I just climbed out, *sob*—and I’m smashed back in again—”

Everyone was once again petrified.

Someone came back to their senses and asked Zhuang Xiaohu beside him dryly, “Hu, Huzi, do you still need our help?”

Zhuang Xiaohu glared, then grinned, revealing a mouthful of big white teeth: “Help! Why not! Remember to tell a few Brothers to expand Aunt Chen’s outhouse by two times! No, three times is best! Heh heh—”

The old village chief Chen Youcai arrived, panting, with a group of people to save the day. As soon as he entered, he saw Zhuang Jin scoring a goal, and he was dumbfounded as well: “Huzi, what’s the situation?”

Chen Youcai was a little confused. Zhuang Xiaohu’s Wife had anxiously called him to rescue people, saying that Jin Yatou was being ganged up on, but—this situation didn’t look like it!

It was clear that Jin Yatou was beating up that group of old men!

But—

Come to think of it, when did Jin Yatou become so powerful?!

Since she’s so powerful, she should just beat those troublemakers into pulp!

Why did she call him to bring people over?!

Thinking this, Chen Youcai glanced at Zhuang Xiaohu’s Wife, Zhao Ling, with dissatisfaction—

This Huzi’s Wife is really a tiger!

He always slept soundly, and he was taking an afternoon nap! To call him, Zhao Ling had broken a door and two windows in his house, urging his old bones so much that he almost ran out of breath—he finally arrived here with great difficulty.

Just to let him see how mighty Jin Yatou was?

In this situation, was there still a need for a rescue?

Chen Youcai looked at Zhuang Jin with fiery eyes. His Chen Family Village had produced a capable person!

Zhuang Jin’s eyes were filled with confusion. When she spoke again, it was with a clear and cold female voice: “Who beat them up? This guy is quite skilled.”

Everyone: “—”

Was she pretending to be stupid?

Or was she praising herself?

The corners of everyone’s mouths twitched.

Zhuang Jin looked innocent.

After everyone dispersed, Uncle Zhuang Xiaohu comforted Zhuang Jin with a few words and even stuffed two white steamed buns into Zhuang Jin’s arms before being pulled back into the house by his Wife to bandage his wounds. From Chen Xingwang’s mouth, Zhuang Jin learned about the mighty deeds of her body during the time she lost consciousness.

Suddenly thinking of something, she took down the Blood Jade and examined it, falling into deep thought.

The shape of this Blood Jade was the same as her original Blood Jade, and even the positions and lines of the red veins were the same. There couldn’t be two identical Blood Jades in the world—

This was her original one!

At this moment, the Blood Jade trembled lightly in her palm. Zhuang Jin thought of the old, male voice again, and a bold guess seemed to form in her mind.

Perhaps—she could find a way back from this Blood Jade!

Thinking this, Zhuang Jin hurriedly went out.

As the Moonlight slanted westward, Zhuang Jin climbed up the mountain on the west side of the village, following the memories in her original body’s mind.

This mountain wasn’t very high, but its foothills were covered with graves of all sizes, so few villagers came here except for sacrifices.

Passing through the graveyard, there was a very deep cave halfway up the mountain. Zhuang Jin went straight in.

“Who are you? Come out!” Zhuang Jin sat down cross-legged, holding the Blood Jade pendant in her hand, her clear and cold voice echoing in the dark cave.

As soon as she spoke, the Blood Jade began to pulsate in her palm again. Immediately afterward, a ray of light reflected from the Blood Jade, a flash of red light that disappeared in an instant.

The moment the light disappeared, the cave was empty. Zhuang Jin vanished from where she was.

Zhuang Jin only felt a blur before her eyes, and then she entered a space. The land in this space was desolate and boundless. As far as the eye could see, there was only a small pool of water, and not far from the pool stood a nine-story pagoda with mottled walls.

The pagoda was stained with the marks of time and decay. There was even a crack at the top of the pagoda, as if it had been forcibly split in half by a sharp blade.

If this were in modern times, it would definitely be a dangerous building.

The space was as bright as day, but there was no sun.

Strange! Strange!

Zhuang Jin couldn’t find any other words to describe it. She only felt that this place was full of unsettling strangeness. She subconsciously turned back, but behind her was a vast expanse of white, with no way back.

This place was like an independent space, with no visible path in or out.

Zhuang Jin stood in front of the nine-story pagoda, a rare hint of panic flashing through her heart.

Her eyes were wary, but she felt some voice calling to her in the dark, urging her to continue forward.

Hesitating for a moment, she took a deep breath, stopped hesitating, and braced herself to move forward.

As Zhuang Jin approached, the pagoda door opened automatically.

After she entered, the pagoda door closed automatically again.

The inside of the pagoda was pitch black, and one couldn’t see their own fingers.

There was no wind, but Zhuang Jin felt a chill on her neck, as if someone was blowing air on her neck.

This scene was just like the plot in many supernatural movies.

Fortunately, Zhuang Jin was brave. If anyone else saw this, they would be scared half to death.

Suddenly, the inside of the nine-story pagoda lit up brightly. Nine huge pearls were inlaid on the surrounding walls, emitting a lustrous light.

Immediately afterward, a figure floated before her eyes—

An old man with the complexion of a child and hair of a crane, dressed in tattered clothes, stared intently at the Blood Jade in her hand: “Girl, Grandpa has been waiting for you for a long time!”

This voice—Zhuang Jin’s pupils suddenly contracted.

It really was that guy!

“Are you the one who provides emergency help?” Zhuang Jin slowly opened her mouth.

The old man immediately smiled, looking like he was asking for praise: “Yes, yes!”

Zhuang Jin ground her back teeth: “And then you used my body to dance the Yangge?”

“Yes, I danced very well! Look—” As he spoke, the old man started dancing again without any sense of propriety.

The more Zhuang Jin looked, the darker her face became. Damn it, why did this Yangge dance look like a pole dance!

“Tell me how to go back to my original world!” Zhuang Jin asked patiently.

“Don’t know!” The little old man blinked his eyes, his gaze shifting: “What’s the point of going back? This place is so much better! Besides, your original body is already cold, what’s there to go back to!”

A dangerous light flashed in Zhuang Jin’s eyes once again. This old man was lying!

Suddenly, Zhuang Jin threw a punch, creating a gust of wind.

“Why do you start fighting without saying a word!”

“Are you not human?” Just now, she saw her palm pass through the other person’s body.

“Sob sob—you are insulting me!” The old man covered his face, his shoulders twitching, which made Zhuang Jin stunned.

“Stop pretending, all thunder and no rain! Quickly confess, how can I go back?” This jade pendant had traveled with her, and this old man was inside the jade pendant. Zhuang Jin was sure that this old man knew the way back.

As Zhuang Jin spoke, she tossed the Blood Jade up and down in her hand. The little old man instantly became extremely nervous, raising his hands tremblingly, as if ready to fly up and catch the Blood Jade at any moment.

“Young lady, be civilized, this precious thing can’t be broken!” The little old man stared at the Blood Jade, a flash of pain on his face.

A gleam of light flashed in Zhuang Jin’s eyes, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly. She nonchalantly tossed the Blood Jade even higher, and twice she pretended to barely catch it: “I’m very good at this.”

“Oh my! Grandma! This jade is not meant to be played with like this!” The little old man jumped up and down, the panic on his face no longer able to be concealed!

Seeing this, a sly look flashed in Zhuang Jin’s eyes—sure enough, this old man’s lifeline was here!
