What does it feel like to bring a toy from your online lover to a New Year’s banquet?
Thrilling.
What’s even more thrilling is that the online lover is sitting at the banquet.
And he’s my polite, handsome stepbrother, whom I’m meeting for the first time.
—The son of Song Auntie, my dad’s new late-life love interest, and her ex-husband.
Backing up, I leaned closer to the table, forcing a fake smile.
Do I dare move?
No way, I didn’t dare move an inch.
Because he’s sitting right next to me.
There wasn’t even an empty seat between us.
How did I figure it out? It was because of this seating arrangement.
He went to the bathroom and forgot his phone, and I just happened to see the message notification on his screen—the one with my embarrassing message.
“Little Xiugou: How fast can a little egg be? Come on, master, didn’t you eat enough today? Why are you being so soft?”
The kind of cringe that would make anyone go black in the face.
—Social death and sheer embarrassment.
Gripping my phone, my toes curled in my shoes as I began trembling uncontrollably.
Not intentionally, of course.
It must have been because of the provocative message I sent.
Sneaking a glance sideways—
Sure enough, I saw my stepbrother, Song Chenyi, lower his head and casually open the Bluetooth control screen, tapping at it nonchalantly.
I took a deep breath, but the trembling only got worse.
This is bad, I can’t keep going like this!
I need to take the thing out!
I didn’t even dare to check what kind of warning message my enraged “master” had sent me. I braced myself on the table and awkwardly stood up, ready to slip away to the bathroom.
“I’m heading to the bathroom, too.”
I politely informed them, shoving my phone into my pocket, taking it along with me.
—I hadn’t forgotten the lesson I just learned from my stepbrother’s near exposure.
Unexpectedly, my stepbrother, whom I was meeting for the first time, was a little too considerate.
“Xiao Xi, let me take you there. The bathroom here can be a bit hard to find.”
“No need to trouble yourself, Ge.[1]TL’s Note: Ge is a short for Gege, means brother, Ge or Gege is what you intimately call or address someone who is older than you. The person should be a male. You go ahead and eat; I can find it on my own.”
Taking a deep breath, I backed away, almost losing the ability to keep smiling.
“It’s no trouble at all. It won’t take long.”
With a gentle smile, Song Chenyi insisted on getting up.
Is this him being polite?
Why are you being polite at moment like this?!
If I wasn’t so sure I had hidden my phone well and that there was no way my identity was exposed, I would’ve thought he had figured it out.
Forcing a grin, I replied coldly, “Really, no need. Thank you, Ge, I’ll be fine on my own.”
But before Song Chenyi could sense my resistance and back off, my father—always one to set me up—suddenly stepped in.
“Go on, go on. You two can go together. Your Auntie Song and I will wait here.”
Smiling warmly, my dad waved me off.
There was something rebellious I wanted to say, but I swallowed it.
Fine, fine, the bathroom is urgent.
“Okay, thanks, Ge.”
Too tired to even fake a smile, I reluctantly gave in.
“You’re welcome.”
Song Chenyi smiled gently and glanced at me, a look so deep it made my heart race.
Could he know?
No, it’s definitely just my imagination!
I’ve hidden everything perfectly.
From the dining table to the bathroom was only a few dozen meters.
But that short distance felt like walking on thin ice.
Because it seemed he had chosen a random frequency.
That thing was shifting on its own!
Panicked, I became even more unsteady.
Not only my legs, but even my hands were trembling.
The little egg-shaped toy was about to reach the edge of my anus…
Song Chenyi, however, didn’t seem to notice my stiff walking posture. He walked half a step ahead of me, gentlemanly leading the way, occasionally smiling back at me to remind me to watch my step.
I kept my head down, not daring to respond, much less look him in the eye.
In doing so, I missed the deepening smile on his lips.
I barely made it to the bathroom, almost rushing inside as soon as I passed him.
Song Chenyi didn’t stop me, trailing behind slowly as he followed me in.
It wasn’t until I pulled open a stall door that he swiftly grabbed it, forcing his way in, and locking the door behind him.
“You—”
I was too stunned to speak, let alone stop him.
Leaning back against the door, he stood there relaxed, smiling leisurely.
“What are you trembling for, Xiao Xi?”
In that moment, my heart stopped.
Thankfully, I quickly regained my composure and awkwardly laughed it off.
“Just feeling… a bit uncomfortable.”
Blushing, my voice came out soft and raspy.
—Though it was a little embarrassing, it was at least somewhat plausible.
Song Chenyi chuckled, his gaze dropping down and lingering, refusing to let go.
“What’s uncomfortable?”
As he spoke, his dark eyes seemed to pierce through my clothes, leaving me with nothing to hide.
I felt the urge to punch him!
Confused and still being questioned, I was so flustered that I almost started trembling in my voice.
“Below, Ge, you need to leave!”
Unable to take it any longer, I pushed him, my fingers trembling.
But Song Chenyi just chuckled and pulled me into his arms, leaning close to my ear with a teasing laugh.
“Not below, but behind, right, little puppy?”
The familiar voice of teasing hit me so hard that I nearly knelt on the spot.
It took me a while to calm down and force out a response.
“What are you talking about, Ge?”
Awkwardly smiling, I tried to push him away again.
In the next second, he grabbed me even tighter.
“Still pretending, little puppy?”
He chuckled hoarsely, his hand roaming, toying with me casually.
It seemed like he was in a good mood, for now.
But that could change, depending on how I acted.
Almost instinctively, I understood what he meant.
But gritting my teeth, I refused to give in.
If I did, I’d definitely be crying miserably in a few minutes.
The kind of misery that’s beyond words.
So, stiffening my neck, I continued to argue.
“Ge, I really need to use the bathroom. Please leave!”
“Haha,” Song Chenyi just laughed, pulling my phone out of my pocket and holding it up. He finally spoke, “Do you want me to unlock it myself, little puppy?”
The message was clear: confess, or resist and suffer the consequences.
I had never felt such loud alarms ringing in my head before.
With my eyes welling up, I gave in, pulling at his sleeve and pleading softly.
“Master, master, the little puppy knows he was wrong…”
But Song Chenyi remained indifferent, brushing me aside with no emotion, his eyes deep and unfathomable as he commanded word by word.
“Now, go back and continue eating.”
“No, no! Dad and Auntie will find out!”
On the verge of tears, I cried out in desperation.
