Zhang Lan had already arrived in France and was waiting at the hotel. As soon as she saw them, she rushed over, greeting them briefly and introducing her assistant, Xiao Yang. She then said, “I’ve already booked your rooms. You must be tired after such a long day, so go rest.”

At this point, Zhang Lan glanced at Gu Chuan and added, “President Gu, your room is right next to Mimi’s.”

To be honest, Zhang Lan’s arrangement was her way of doing Gu Chuan a favor.

She had shipped their couple, excitedly rooting for them, but having been in the entertainment industry for so long, she’d seen too many on-screen couples faking it for publicity. She had hesitated to fully believe in them.

Zhang Lan wanted to cry. “I was hoping they were fake!”

The only comforting thought was that Jiang Mi had promised not to make their relationship public during the reality show, so there shouldn’t be a problem, right?

Just as she was thinking this, Xiao Yang suddenly gasped, “Sister Lan! Mimi is trending again, a video from the airport!”

Since Zhang Lan wasn’t on the same flight as Jiang Mi, she hadn’t been there for whatever happened at the airport. Now, seeing the trending topic, she quickly told Xiao Yang to go back and organize their things while she hurried to Jiang Mi and Gu Chuan’s hotel room.

After knocking for about ten seconds, the door slowly opened.

When she looked up, it was Gu Chuan’s handsome, cold face. His dark eyes were tinged with a hint of irritation at being interrupted.

Zhang Lan, the usually tough businesswoman, suddenly felt small and weakly peeked around the door. “Uh, President Gu, I need to speak to Mimi about something.”

Gu Chuan hummed and turned to walk back inside the suite.

Zhang Lan watched his tall, imposing figure and felt a bit amazed—she had actually reached a point in her career where a business mogul opened the door for her.

But she quickly shook off her thoughts and followed him into the suite. She saw Jiang Mi sitting on the sofa, tidying her clothes. Her lips were a deep, glossy red.

Zhang Lan immediately froze.

Now she understood why Gu Chuan had been so displeased earlier. Clearly, they had been interrupted.

They had only been in the room for a few minutes, and Jiang Mi’s lips were already kissed like that?

Zhang Lan couldn’t help but blush. She wanted to turn around and leave to let them continue, but her professional duties as a manager forced her to stay.

Jiang Mi, however, was completely at ease. “Sister Lan, what’s up?”

Zhang Lan glanced toward the study where Gu Chuan had just entered, her heart pounding. Originally, she had wanted to talk to Jiang Mi about the online gossip, but seeing Jiang Mi’s freshly kissed lips, Zhang Lan thought there was something more urgent to address.

Falling in love was fine.
