At the southern gate of Jinling City, several hundred people were stationed, inspecting the IDs of players entering or exiting. Every player had to display their ID to pass through the gate.
At this moment, a man wearing a plain mask bought from a shop, concealing his ID, swaggered toward the city gate.
The crowd around him looked on in surprise:
“This guy’s so arrogant, he doesn’t even seem to care about the Pride of All Heroes.”
“Many people like him have appeared before. In the end, they were ‘sent back’ for free and never came out again.”
“The Pride of All Heroes are really overbearing, but they have the strength to back it up.”
“Yeah, but as long as he shows his ID and takes off his mask, they won’t trouble him. It’s not wise to go against them.”
Everyone watched as the man confidently approached the gate, walking right up to the Pride of All Heroes members guarding it.
“Stop! Show your ID and take off your mask,” a youth from Pride of All Heroes ordered.
“Heh, what if I don’t?” The man smiled.
“Then we’ll have to send you back to the city for free,” the youth replied coldly.
“Oh? Go ahead, I’m waiting.” The man smiled without a hint of fear.
“Damn it, you’re asking for trouble. Brothers, teach him a lesson!” The youth snapped, and in an instant, hundreds of people rushed towards him, launching various attacks.

Damage numbers appeared above the man’s head, but they didn’t break his defense. Everyone immediately realized who he was.
“Shit, it’s Dust Seal! Stop! Run!” someone from Pride of All Heroes shouted. Many of them turned and fled, despite their usual arrogance toward others. They still feared Dust Seal.
However, once the fight had begun, Wu Shaochen wasn’t going to let them escape. With a flick of his hand, he activated the Slaughter Mode. He had no psychological burden facing these bullies who only knew how to pick on the weak.
“Damn, it’s Dust Seal the god!”
“Really? I’m seeing Dust Seal in person. This is amazing. Go, Dust Seal—take them down!”
“Wait a second, wasn’t Dust Seal’s mask before that thin, beautiful one? Why does it look like a regular shop mask now? I didn’t recognize him immediately.”
“Are you an idiot? He probably swapped it out.”
“Ah, right.”
The battle ended quickly. The members of Pride of All Heroes didn’t dare fight back. They only ran for their lives, and in the end, half of them were killed, with the rest fleeing into the city.
Wu Shaochen didn’t chase them further and didn’t enter the city. Instead, he turned and walked toward the eastern gate. This incident had started because of him, and Pride of All Heroes’s behavior was disgusting. He needed to teach them a lesson.
At that moment, the high-level chat channels of Pride of All Heroes exploded. Because they hadn’t formally established a guild yet, there were no guild channels, and no group chats in Divinity, so all the messages gathered in a few high-level chat windows. As they received the news and started issuing orders, Wu Shaochen had already arrived at the eastern gate, clashing with the people there.
After dealing with the eastern gate, Wu Shaochen slowly made his way to the northern gate. He knew that Pride of All Heroes must have already prepared for this. Either the northern gate was deserted, or it was full of people.
Sure enough, when Wu Shaochen arrived at the northern gate, it was packed with Pride of All Heroes members—more than ten thousand of them, mostly archers and mages. They stood in tight formation, glaring at Wu Shaochen as he approached. Clearly, they weren’t backing down this time. They had prepared well. With ten thousand ranged attackers, even if they couldn’t all attack at once, the huge plaza in front of the city gate meant that thousands of them could shoot at Wu Shaochen at a time. Even if the attacks didn’t break his defense, a few more waves of fire would be enough to overwhelm him.
Wu Shaochen was a little nervous seeing such a formation. This was a bit too much—wasn’t this cheating? Unless he could charge into the crowd, in which case their ranged attacks would be useless, but it would take at least 2-3 seconds to break through their attack range, and during that time, he’d experience what it’s like to be hit by a thousand arrows.
But he couldn’t back down now. Wu Shaochen glanced at his bag and calmly started walking toward the enemy.
At the front of the crowd, Pride of All Heroes’ leader, Pride of the World, sneered when he saw Wu Shaochen: “Dust Seal, I really admire your courage. You still dare to come in this situation.”
Wu Shaochen was indifferent: “A bunch of ants are still ants in the end.”
“Hmph. Well, I’ll see if you still have the guts to face the ten thousand ranged attackers of Pride of All Heroes. Going against us, I’ll make sure you can’t survive in Divinity,” Pride of the World said, gritting his teeth.
“Damn, ten thousand people against one! Pride of All Heroes is shameless,” a spectator from the crowd commented.
“Only now you realize? They’ve always been this shameless.”
“Well, you’re right. But why is Dust Seal still coming? No one could withstand this.”
“Maybe Dust Seal isn’t afraid. I’ll always support Dust Seal.”
Wu Shaochen slowly walked to the front of the Pride of All Heroes members. The nearest archer was only a meter away, and Wu Shaochen glanced at Pride of the World and said faintly, “Then you’d better open your eyes. Sometimes, having more people doesn’t mean you’ll win.” He suddenly sped up and charged into the crowd.
“Attack!”
Pride of the World issued the order, and countless arrows flew toward Wu Shaochen. In this open area, there was no way for him to dodge. But Wu Shaochen had no intention of evading. Without hesitation, he pulled out a Protective Scroll from his bag and used it.
The crowd watched as the countless arrows were about to hit him, but suddenly, a faint golden light emanated from Wu Shaochen’s body, blocking all the attacks.
“Damn it, a Protective Scroll!” Pride of the World gasped.
“Shit, he has that? Quickly, tell everyone to scatter!” Pride of the World shouted urgently.
But organizing such a massive army wasn’t easy. Before their orders could be given, Wu Shaochen had already charged into the crowd. And then, it was a one-sided massacre.
The ranged attackers, helpless up close, were no match for Wu Shaochen. He dashed in and out of the crowd, his dagger flashing with white light, leaving no opponent standing. With his attack power over a thousand and a speed of two strikes per second, none of these fragile ranged attackers could withstand even a second. Although many tried to fight back, their damage was negligible compared to the health he was recovering with each swing.
A ten thousand-man army was huge, but its weaknesses were also obvious. Once someone broke through the formation, only a few could even attack.
The entire army became a chaotic mess. As time passed, more and more died, while Wu Shaochen remained at full health. This army posed no threat to him whatsoever.
Seeing this situation, Pride of the World could only issue a retreat order. Although this would further damage their guild’s reputation, there was nothing else they could do. At this point, continuing the battle would only lead to more casualties, and Wu Shaochen wouldn’t be affected by their attacks.
In the end, the ten thousand-man army retreated into the city at the cost of several hundred players being downgraded. Once this incident spread online, Pride of All Heroes’ reputation plummeted, and they were ridiculed by countless players.
