The Supreme Toxic Lord of Online Games Chapter 76

Chapter 76: The Roar of Power

While Xue Hai Wuyah was experiencing a headache, the battle never ceased. The team of six to seven hundred players was scattered by the Jungle Tiger King. Wu Shaochen’s shameless tactics had already infuriated the Jungle Tiger King, and now these players had come at the worst possible time, walking straight into the tiger’s jaws.

“Retreat!” Xue Hai Wuyah ordered with a bitter tone; they had no chance of defeating this BOSS.

But as they tried to retreat, the Jungle Tiger King refused to let them go. It had finally found a group of people to vent its anger on and wasn’t about to let them escape. The tiger roared loudly, and a blinding white light flashed in front of it, followed by a pile of scattered equipment.

“Damn, this scene is stunning,” Wu Shaochen, leaning against a tree, said, delighting in the misfortune of others. He looked at the group of players running at the front, who miraculously avoided the attack. Their faces were filled with panic as they ran off in the distance.

“Think you can steal my BOSS and run? Think again!” Wu Shaochen immediately activated his speed skill and chased after them. Before long, over ten more pieces of equipment were left behind.

Looking at the pile of loot, Wu Shaochen sighed and said, “Ah, all these people coming over to drop equipment for me. I feel a bit embarrassed.” He quickly messaged Wu Ziyin, asking her to come and pick up the loot. As for the Tiger King, its poison was already gone, and its health had likely recovered. It would be fine to kill it again later—after all, it wouldn’t delay things much.

At the resurrection point in Jinling City, it was packed with players, six to seven hundred of them. The sight was truly impressive. Blood Sea Wuyah, caught in the middle of the crowd, had an expression that looked worse than crying. He had finally confirmed that they had gone after the sealed BOSS, and now, not only had they failed to secure it, but the guild’s elites had all been wiped out, earning them the ire of the Sealed Guild. They had stolen the chicken but lost the rice—it couldn’t get any worse for him.

At the Tiger Roar Forest, after receiving her brother’s message, Wu Ziyin rushed over and froze in place at the sight of the piles of loot. “Brother, did you kill everyone who just came in?”

“It wasn’t me who killed them, it was the Tiger King. I told them, don’t touch a tiger’s tail, but they insisted on doing so,” Wu Shaochen said with a grin.

Wu Ziyin stuck out her tongue and asked, “How are we going to pick up all this loot?”

“Pick it up in order—start with the bronze, then the black iron. Keep what you can use, and sell the rest. The black iron is worth about 2000, and the bronze about 30,000. Try to sell them quickly; player drops only last for 10 minutes, and after that, they’ll despawn,” Wu Shaochen instructed.

Soon, Jinling City’s auction house started a clearance sale. Black iron gear, usually worth 3000-5000, was being sold for 2000, and bronze gear, normally priced at 40,000-80,000, was being sold for 30,000. The whole city erupted into a shopping frenzy, with the Blood Sea Guild buying back their own drops at all costs, even though they were in tears.

Though Wu Shaochen and Wu Ziyin worked quickly, most of the equipment was refreshed and disappeared. In the end, they were able to sell 45 pieces of bronze gear and 136 pieces of black iron gear. While the prices were low, the quantity was high, earning them over 1.4 million, making Wu Ziyin blush with excitement.

“It feels so good to pick up money,” Wu Shaochen stretched lazily and said. He turned to the still-excited Wu Ziyin and added, “You should go calm down the NPCs, or there will be problems again. I’m going to finish off the Tiger King.”

“Okay, okay… But about the money from the sale of the equipment…”

“You can keep it for yourself.”

In Mo Bei City…

In the desert, thousands of players were surrounding a giant desert scorpion. With no obstacles in the desert map, their numerical advantage was fully exploited. However, the formation was different from normal. Aside from the occasional shielded warrior, there were fixed damage-dealers like archers and mages, while the majority were assassins. Normally, assassins wouldn’t be useful in BOSS fights, but these assassins had control skills. They would stealth in, deliver a combo of stuns, and retreat, greatly limiting the BOSS’s effectiveness and making it easier for the rest of the team to deal damage. Though they couldn’t break the scorpion’s defense, its health was dropping by over a thousand points per second.

This was the largest guild in Mo Bei City, Hell’s Gate.

“Boss, in about five minutes, this golden BOSS will be dead. We’ll definitely be the first guild to kill a golden BOSS,” Hell’s Gate member Di Hong said excitedly. They had been fighting this BOSS for over an hour.

“Hmm, though we’ve suffered some losses, getting the first kill of a golden BOSS is worth it. Not only will we get golden gear, but also attribute point rewards,” Hell’s Gate leader Di Yusheng nodded, looking excited as well.

At that moment, a full-server announcement rang out, causing every player in the game to stop and listen.

“Full Server Announcement: Congratulations to player Chen Feng for killing the golden BOSS [Demonized Jungle Tiger King]. As the first player to kill a golden BOSS in the game, the system rewards 2000 reputation, 50 gold, and 40 free attribute points. This is a special announcement!”

“Chen Feng!!” Di Yusheng’s face turned dark, his expression terrifying. Anyone who knew him could tell he was on the verge of an outburst.

In Jinling City…

Blood Sea Wuyah heard the announcement and smiled bitterly. He knew the Tiger King’s power firsthand. One skill from it had wiped them all out. The fact that Chen Feng, with that kind of strength, had killed the BOSS made him realize just how terrifying Chen Feng’s abilities were. He couldn’t help but wonder if there was any way to redeem himself.

At Tiger Roar Forest…

Wu Shaochen, hearing the system notifications, felt elated.

“Ding! Congratulations on killing the golden BOSS [Demonized Jungle Tiger King]. You have earned 1000 reputation, 60,000 experience, and your pet Silver Wolf has gained 40,000 experience.”

“Ding! Congratulations, you have leveled up. Health +80, Mana +40, you’ve earned 20 free attribute points. Current level: LV24, 22,242/700,000.”

“Ding! Talent ability triggered: Toxic Damage +1, Toxic Damage Stacks +1. Current Toxic Damage: 1101, Maximum Stacks: 5.”

“Ding! Undying Body effect triggered: Maximum Health increased by 5149.”

Wu Ziyin, standing nearby, gleamed with golden light as she leveled up three times, from level 10 to level 13. Wu Shaochen had brought her over just before the Tiger King was about to die, and the group experience from the God’s Blessing system made her level up quickly. She was thrilled, amazed by the speed at which she was progressing.

Wu Shaochen, however, was more focused on the loot that had dropped. There was 6 gold and 72 silver, two pieces of golden gear, four pieces of silver gear, five pieces of bronze gear, no black iron gear (since high-level monsters didn’t drop low-tier gear), as well as a scroll, a special potion, a gem, an attribute stone, and a crystal-like item. All in all, it was quite a haul, though he had hoped for a double-drop scroll to increase his rewards.
