The Hell Knight’s crucial strike was blocked by Wu Shaochen, and his face changed dramatically. He immediately retreated, but Wu Shaochen, of course, would not give him the chance to escape. The remaining two Golden Bloodthirsty Beasts were likely taken down by God King and Windy Moon, which explained why their points were so far ahead.

“These big guild players will probably have a big surge in points soon,” Wu Shaochen thought. They hadn’t yet concentrated all their guild members’ points onto one person, but with time running out, they would definitely adopt that strategy. When that happened, Wu Shaochen couldn’t guarantee he would hold onto first place, so the key point lay in this big guy. At first, many shield warriors and fighters had tried to block the boss’s movements, but the battlefield had become chaotic. There were too many players from different factions, and many ranged magic users and archers had started casting spells randomly. As a result, many melee players were not killed by the boss but by other players, and now the melee players were afraid to step forward. The boss ran amok, unopposed, and the battlefield turned into chaos. Even those who were initially observing from afar had to join the battle.

With his over 1,000 speed, Wu Shaochen managed to avoid getting caught up in the chaos. As long as the boss moved towards him, he would quickly run away and easily shake it off. However, not everyone had his speed, and most players were slower than the boss, which led to the rapid decrease in the number of players on the battlefield.

After over half an hour, the big guy’s health was only down by 50%, but the number of players had already dropped below 10,000. Many guild leaders frowned as they realized the battle would likely end in failure. With only half an hour left, the boss would likely be impossible to defeat, and they began considering withdrawing.

At that moment, Dreamlight Dance, who had been watching from a distance, noticed Wu Shaochen standing casually by a tree. After signaling her companions, she walked over to him. Soon, she was standing before him.

Looking at the woman before him, Wu Shaochen immediately recognized her as the beautiful priestess who had healed him earlier. Her figure was too striking to forget.

Dreamlight Dance looked at Wu Shaochen and said, “Why don’t we team up? With your damage and my healing, we should be able to kill this boss.”

Naturally, she attracted a lot of attention. Her sudden interaction with Wu Shaochen sparked even more curiosity, and some familiar faces began to guess his identity.

“That person is Chen Feng!” suddenly shouted Proud Over the World.

Everyone immediately turned their gaze toward Wu Shaochen, and many players’ expressions changed. Observing the situation, Wu Shaochen couldn’t help but smile. “I just wanted to quietly observe, and now I’m being bombarded. Looks like I’ll have to stay away from women from now on.”

“Chen Feng, as the top player, everyone’s risking their lives to fight the boss, but you’re just sitting back and watching. What’s your excuse?” someone questioned.

“Yeah, if you had joined the fight earlier, maybe the boss would already be dead,” others chimed in.

Wu Shaochen chuckled coldly, “Why does it matter whether I fight or not? If you want to fight, keep going. If not, get lost and stop bothering me.”

“Chen Feng, being called the top player has clearly gone to your head! There are so many guilds here, do you think you can afford to offend all of us?” Proud Over the World said coldly, subtly trying to make enemies for Wu Shaochen.

“Ha, whether I offend anyone, I don’t know. But I certainly don’t take your Proud Over the World seriously. It seems you’ve gotten too comfortable lately. I’ll find a way to stir things up for you,” Wu Shaochen sneered.

“You!” Proud Over the World was left speechless.

“Chen Feng, no matter what, as the top player, you should contribute to the boss fight,” the guild leader of Heaven’s Myth, God Lord, suddenly said.

Wu Shaochen rolled his eyes. “Contribute? What contribution? Do the boss’s points go to me?” He then turned and walked deeper into the battlefield, saying, “Stop talking with all these high-sounding words. If you succeeded, that’s your ability. If you fail, don’t blame me. Don’t put the blame on me.”

“Damn, this guy is so arrogant!” someone muttered angrily.

Looking at Wu Shaochen as he walked away, many people exchanged glances, but none dared to follow him. With so few players left on the battlefield, they didn’t have much confidence in taking him on, and most guilds had no grudge against him. There was no need to risk provoking him.

“What should we do now?” the players looked at each other.

“Let’s retreat. There’s only about ten minutes left, and this boss won’t be defeated in time.”

Soon, the crowd began to retreat. Many guild leaders needed to go back and calculate the points of their members to try to push their rankings in the final moments. Meanwhile, the Slaughter boss, still raging, refused to give up. It chased after players who were retreating into the forest, continuing its killing spree, and everyone quickly realized this.
