Chapter 2 The Timid Home Tutor of the Profligate Evil Young Master (2)
Years of conditioning had Luo Yan waking up at six o’clock sharp.
She felt very tired and her head wasn’t feeling too good, probably because of the many nightmares she had last night.
As usual, after getting up to wash and brush her teeth, Luo Yan went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for herself and Luo Hongda, then cleaned up, and went to the balcony to take down the clothes she had hung out to dry yesterday.
After finishing these tasks, she sat quietly on the sofa, waiting for Luo Hongda to wake up and have breakfast.
It was past eight o’clock when Luo Hongda finally emerged from his room. He saw Luo Yan sitting on the sofa and casually asked how the cleaning was going.
Luo Yan obediently nodded, and only then did he call her to have breakfast.
Luo Hongda picked up a small steamed bun with his chopsticks, put it in his mouth and praised, “The taste is really good.”
“When you get to the Pei’s house, don’t just laze around, remember to show your skills, maybe Young Master Pei will like it?”
After hearing this, Luo Yan forced a smile at Luo Hongda.
Luo Yan’s home was in a high-end residential area in the central part of Haicheng. It would take at least an hour without traffic to drive from her home to the Pei family’s large villa halfway up the mountains in the suburban area.
Sitting in Luo Hongda’s newly acquired Cayenne, the scent of the new car made Luo Yan uncomfortable. The confined space of the car trapped her sense of smell, while the air conditioning, meant to combat the summer heat, kept eroding her body temperature.
Watching the rapidly passing street scenes outside the car window, Luo Yan’s head felt heavier, her vision blurred as if she was in a kaleidoscope.
Even when the car stopped at the magnificent and exquisite gate of the Pei’s house, it didn’t bring any color to Luo Yan’s pale face.
She was dragged out of the car by Luo Hongda by the collar.
Luo Hongda’s expression was unpleasant, clearly dissatisfied with Luo Yan’s weak and lifeless appearance.
He forcefully pulled open the tightly buttoned collar of Luo Yan’s shirt, causing her to let out a gasp.
Luo Hongda scolded her, “Don’t button your clothes so tightly, looking lifeless like this!”
But… as Luo Yan covered her open collar…
She wanted to say something more, but she saw Luo Hongda staring at her thoughtfully—revealing a smile that Luo Yan couldn’t understand.
Luo Hongda used his hand to tuck a strand of Luo Yan’s hair behind her ear and smiled, “My Yan Yan, you’ve grown up.”
Luo Yan felt a chill down her spine.
……
Following the maid into the depths of the Pei’s mansion, Luo Yan clearly felt the maid’s attitude was very cold, her eyes revealing a hint of mockery.
Clutching the strap of her backpack tightly, Luo Yan became even more cautious, not daring to say a word, and was directed to sit on the sofa in the living room by the maid.
“The young master hasn’t woken up yet, just wait here. Oh, don’t touch anything, they were just cleaned.” With these words, the maid left to work, not even offering Luo Yan a glass of water.
Luo Yan sneakily glanced at her watch and realized it was almost ten o’clock. She felt like a useless part, out of place, placed in a corner that didn’t belong to her.
Her mouth was very dry, and her head was pounding. Luo Yan didn’t dare to ask the maid for motion sickness medication. She took out her own water bottle and took a few sips, obediently staying in the corner of the sofa, not daring to look around the lavishly decorated living room that didn’t belong to her.
It wasn’t until a loud “bang” sound came from upstairs, like something breaking.
Luo Yan heard the maid who had brought her in earlier muttering quietly, cursing the new maid for clumsily breaking a vase and disturbing the young master.
Involuntarily, Luo Yan thought of Pei Yao’s widely known bad temper, and she became even more nervous.
Sure enough, from deep within a room on the second floor, there was a loud noise, the sound of a door being forcefully slammed open, much louder than the sound of the vase breaking.
Not only that, accompanied by the grumbling voices, Luo Yan heard the hoarse male voice telling that maid to leave.
Then the maid spoke softly to soothe, and hmm, Luo Yan shivered coldly. The maid seemed to mention her, saying something about how the master had found a new tutor and how it had arrived and so on.
For some reason, Luo Yan always felt like the maid didn’t like her, almost describing her as a sickly and dull goose.
Pei Yao was indeed not pleased, with his hoarse voice, he told her to get out with the clumsy maid.
“What the hell is this tutoring thing, my dad is really getting more confused as he gets older! I don’t need any tutoring at all, tell her to get out!”
Luo Yan was scared to the point of trembling by this “get out”, unconsciously standing up, softly opening her mouth towards Pei Yao, who was coming down the stairs: “Young Master…”
She caught a glimpse of the man coming down half-naked, his loose silk pajamas hanging off him, Luo Yan quickly lowered her head, afraid to look at him.
Pei Yao’s cursing stopped abruptly when he saw the person standing in the living room.
He stretched his neck, relaxed his firm and toned shoulder muscles, and walked casually towards Luo Yan.
Pei Yao walked up to Luo Yan, his fingers firmly lifting her chin.
“Tsk, your skin is really tender.”
He let out a light sigh.
“Oh, so this is my little tutor.”
Due to the height difference, as Pei Yao leaned in closer to Luo Yan’s face, his prominent nose brushed against her earlobe, his warm breath spraying on that cute round ear, and Pei Yao revealed a meaningful smile.
“Little tutor, your ear is turning red.” He reached out and pinched Luo Yan’s earlobe.
So soft and plump, and it feels good too.
This holiday is going to be interesting, Pei Yao’s morning grumpiness quickly dissipated at an extremely rare speed.
“Come sit with me for a meal, little tutor.”
…
Luo Yan never expected that she would interact with the notorious Pei Yao in this way.
She sat at the dining table, facing Pei Yao, with the maid standing beside him, being ordered by Pei Yao to serve soup and add rice for Luo Yan.
The elegant and luxurious dishes filled the exquisite dining plates, even just a breakfast, it was filled with many dishes that Luo Yan had never seen before.
He held the chopsticks, feeling awkward and uneasy, occasionally responding to Pei Yao’s various questions, from name, age, birthdate, to some topics that could be considered somewhat private.
